Horrible fuel smell coming through Air conditioning vents on cold start up. This presents a safety hazard as there is an obvious fuel leak on a still late model vehicle with no safety recall in sight.

The whole dashboard leather has come apart. The seam around the vent is peeling up, the top part is looking really bad. The top part of the instrumental console, the leather cloth has fell and you cannot see the face of the panel. This car should not be falling apart like that. The color is great, just coming aprt from the seams.

My Engine light came on and I took it to Star Motors. They reported two codes, 1200 and 1208. This means a bad Balance Shaft. This balances the engine and controls the timing belt. I had three choices they said, Repair it for $5,900.00 ....Yes that's right. Sell the car or drive it till it dies. I asked what that meant. The component that failed was the fuel injector and spark plug. A few months prior to this incident, I was making a left hand turn, when the accelerator completely gave out. I was making the left on a blinking yellow arrow, luckily the on coming car was not coming at me fast or I would've been in an accident due to the accelerator failing. ... eset it. I was told by the dealership service center that they could not find anything and that there have been no complaints or recalls. After about 8 months of owning the vehicle, it started to have problems turning over when the engine on/off button was pressed. I was repeatedly told that they could not do anything if it did not happen in the dealership service center. This past week on 10/20/2022, while I was driving down the freeway, when I went to accelerate and at that moment the vehicle began to stutter/shake uncontrollably. After that, any time the accelerator was pressed it would shutter/shake. My vehicle was towed to a dealership. Come to find out, cylinder one was coding. They found out that the fuel injector was stuck open. According to the service advisor, that issue was causing a misfire. I was told that they replaced the fuel injector and the spark plug. According to the vehicle report I was given, 1 reman injector, 4 TS spring F In, 1 spark plug, and there was a core return (not sure what that means). The check engine light came on right away. In addition to the incidents above, I have had the forward collision alert come on when nothing is in front of me. I worry that one day it will cause my vehicle to engage the brakes when nothing is around.Read more

I would like to file an official complaint with Mercedes Service center prior to escalating. Due to neglection the part of your authorized dealership, I am confronted with poor and conniving customer service, strong safety concerns, and financial loss. Also, Euro Motors did not report any issues with the vehicle wire harness during the pre inspection. During the pre inspection the only thing Mecha
... nic pointed out was the rear left air suspension bag losing air (see attached videos of pre and post inspection).I brought in my GL350 for the manufacturing recall on September 20th, with sufficient time to file for the $878.75 cash back rebate for Class Action Settlement. Euro Motors of Germantown, deliberately or carelessly kept my vehicle past the due date of the rebate. When I received the vehicle almost a month later, it stalled in the middle of the highway, risking my life as it gave no prior indication of stalling. When I opened the hood to inspect the vehicle, I noticed the harness wires were tampered with. I have actual evidence of the engine prior and post Euro Motors maintenance, which I will make available if necessary. I have lost my trust with this dealership performing and further work, and I would like Mercedes to take further action to ensure my trust in their brand. I can be available for direct discussion with contact information below. On 20th October 2022, I received my car back from the dealer. I was told their mechanic performed all safety inspection and the car is roadworthy. After I inspected my vehicle I found Euro Motorcars Mercedes-Benz Germantown location left a leaking fuel line and return the car back to me. I would like NHTSA to investigate this safety issue. When I started my car, the dash did not reveal park, drive, or reverse. It illuminated with a warning light indicating an Electronic Stability Problem (ESP). Research revealed this to be an important safety feature and that the Mercedes-warning-lights-electric-stability-control may have problems with traction control requiring attention. The ESP light was NOT flashing for the system to intervene
... – as the car was parked in my garage. It did not light up with the word ‘OFF’ to assess whether it may have been inadvertently deactivated. The light stayed on indicating a suddenly improperly working ESP system. The light remained on after stopping and restarting the engine several times as the dealer maintenance technician suggested concluding with my vehicle being towed to Mercedes Benz of Augusta for service. I am not sure if the MB mechanic reproduced the issue as they discussed several other potential failure points before resolving to replace an item in the steering control module. Experiencing this alert, I became more concerned that a safety inspection may not have been part of the last maintenance service. This is my third Mercedes and I make sure to keep up with all my maintenance. I had never seen this warning light before. Up until this time the only warning light I had seen in my car was for low air in my tires. My safety was not at immediate risk. I am glad my car was not able to be driven, as I would have hated for it to stop while I was out and about. I am a proud Mercedes Benz owner as they are world renown for the safest cars on the road. My car has just over 25,000 miles and it was unimaginable that it would have this kind of failure. I should not be held accountable to pay for a safety failure that I should be part of required maintenance checks. An additional periodic Mercedes required safety inspection could prevent this potential breakdown while providing another measure to protect the life of Mercedes Benz owners.Read more

The vehicle would suddenly stop shifting or shift into neutral. This could happen at freeway speeds, where it would suddenly not have any power and just coast or it could be stuck in 4th at a stoplight and not be able to move.
Incident date: Apr 12, 2022
The car has started not shifting normally. It can get stuck in gear. So, you may pull to a stop sign and not be able to move because it’s stuck in 4th. What makes this really dangerous is that it will randomly shift into neutral. This can be on a shoulder-less two lane highway (this has happened) and you have no power to even get the car off the road. It also has taken to surging and jumping in
... and out of neutral, the engine reving without even touching the gas. So far it has only done that for seconds, but if the engine were to be reving, stuck in neutral, and then go back to drive, it would be a guaranteed accident. ... rol arm is no longer connected to the sub frame He insisted that the car is UNSAFE to drive. He was very surprised as the car only has 70,000 miles on it and in good shape with no rust anywhere else on the car. I did a quick search of the issue on the web and immediately found that MB has had this issue across the world in various models manufactured in 2011-2014. Presently, there are recalls in Germany and Canada for this issue. I contacted my MB Service department and was informed that no recall for this issue exists in the US and they would not cover the costs to repair. The repair could cost between $5k to $7k They told me that I would need to contact MB North America Customer Service. I find it amazing that MB Service, Dealers and North America HQ are all aware of this issue but the Company will not issue a recall or stand behind their product. This not some minor defect. When a major structural component of the car is compromised the lives of vehicle occupants and others on the road are at risk of death due to a major accident. The vehicle is now undriveable and will cost several thousands of dollars to repair. MB is fully aware of this issue and refuses to do anything about it. NHTSA needs to address this issue and make the Manufacturer stand behind their Quality pledge which as a consumer you are paying for when purchasing what you expect to be exceptional German engineering and what you are given is a a product with a known defect that will not be addressed.Read more
