October: Drivetrain/Powertrain control unit internal fault Replacement of gateway/powertrain control module Wiring, grounding, and software inspections November: Active Brake Assist, ESP, and voltage supply faults Failure of both rear wheel speed sensors Replacement of left and right rear wheel speed sensors December: Dealership identified a faulty relay as the root cause Relay replaced and vehicle returned to service January, the vehicle again lost acceleration. And now, again in February. The same loss in acceleration incident. At this point, the vehicle has demonstrated a pattern of unresolved, safety-critical electrical failures. I am reporting a serious safety defect regarding the front control arms on my 2017 Tesla Model S (VIN: [XXX] ). The front control arm bushings are failing, with visible cracking and tearing, as documented by a certified mechanic. These failures directly compromise vehicle steering, handling, and safety, creating a high risk of loss of control or accident. Tesla has issued a known service bulletin
... related to this issue, yet refused to perform repairs free of charge, despite acknowledging the bulletin exists. Timeline of Communications and Attempts to Resolve: Dec 2015 – First reported issue to Tesla Service Center. Inspection was refused without a payment of $270. Tesla claimed the vehicle was out of warranty and refused free inspection or repair. Independent Mechanic Inspection – Confirmed front control arm bushings are cracked/ripped; photos were taken. Dec 27, 2025 – Email sent to [XXX] . Received a call from a local Tesla center stating nothing could be done because the car was out of warranty. I explained it is a safety issue, but it was disregarded. Jan 10 and Jan 18, 2026 – Follow-up emails sent to [XXX] , but no response was received. Jan 23, 2026 – Email sent to [XXX] , documenting safety concerns and service bulletin reference; no acknowledgment or response was received. The vehicle experienced repeated electrical wiring harness damage in the lighting, tire and connector areas due to exposed and insufficiently protected wiring near socket terminations. On two separate service visits, authorized dealership technicians confirmed that rodents chewed through multiple exposed wires. The affected wiring involves critical electrical systems. The connectors lack adequate
... shielding, loom, or protective insulation at exposed termination points. The insulation ends before the connector, leaving conductors vulnerable to environmental exposure and rodent access. Warning indicators illuminated on the dashboard, and the vehicle required dealer repair on both occasions. The damaged wiring was inspected and confirmed by certified technicians and is available for inspection upon request. This condition presents a significant safety risk. If a rodent partially damages a wire connected to braking systems, steering systems, high-voltage components, sensors, or engine control systems, failure could occur while the vehicle is in motion. A sudden loss of power, interruption of propulsion, or malfunction of safety systems at highway speeds could increase the risk of a crash. Because this is an electric vehicle, sudden electrical interruption may result in complete loss of propulsion or charging capability. If such failure occurs in remote areas, at night, or in extreme weather conditions, occupants could be left stranded in potentially hazardous situations. This issue has occurred more than once, and no permanent preventive solution has been provided. The design appears to leave critical wiring insufficiently protected from foreseeable environmental and rodent exposure, creating an ongoing safety hazard. I request review of whether the wiring design provides adequate protection for safety-related electrical systems.Read more

Our vehicle was a 2017 Ram 1500 crew Cab 4x4. We’re getting near to Goldfield Nevada. I saw this town to my left when I remarked about the town to my wife, we were going the speed limit of 70 mph about 2PM in the afternoon than all of a sudden steering went erratic, twisting and turning us all over the highway to strong for me to hold with no warning lights, Genie yelled out what is going on, I
... slammed on the brakes and the steering forced us off the road and rolled our vehicle close to two time over. My wife and I escaped with bruises and small cuts. Backs still hurt. I just had spent over $8500.00 on services including a new computer timing ring replacement new intake manifold and new ventilated brakes , tires had over 92% tread on them upgraded wheels I could not control the steering at all. All I could do was slam the brakes down trying to stop all of it and come to a halt. Steering twisted us all over the highway. I left a quite a stretch a rubber on the highway as we left the roadway and hit the loose gravel dirt and flipped over into a rocky ditch. This totaled our vehicle my wife and I had to be extricated through the front windshield and by a miracle did not need to go to the hospital. I’ve been in touch with [XXX] at Progressive. The vehicle was towed to Tonopah NV we have pictures that we sent to [XXX] at Progressive. I told [XXX] the brain box needs to be preserved along with the brake system for further investigation. I have learned now through my research as there is a problem with this type of electronic steering system. This vehicle types has to cause major accidents and an ongoing lawsuit. The 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 exhibits a critical "Spatial Mapping Offset" defect within the MBUX 360-degree camera interface and the Active Brake Assist (ABA) logic. This creates a "false clear" condition where the driver is visually signaled that an obstacle has bee

Despite the system’s Parking Control Module identifying the object (recorded as "Orange/Indented" in dealer Repair Order #731706), the system failed to escalate to a Red Triangle alert or initiate autonomous braking. Furthermore, the vehicle’s sensing suite is demonstrably unstable, exhibiting "Phantom Alerts" (detecting non-existent obstacles) and total Augmented Reality (AR) camera blackouts in direct sunlight—a failure the manufacturer’s representative attributed to solar interference. The manufacturer (MBUSA) has formally denied a defect exists, claiming the system is not designed to detect stationary objects or operate below 4 mph. However, I have documented video/photographic evidence of the vehicle successfully intervening for stationary objects at these speeds in other scenarios (e.g., concrete garage posts). This proves the system's safety protocols are intermittent and unreliable. This lack of synchronization between real-time spatial data and the driver interface makes a collision mathematically inevitable and constitutes a significant public safety hazard.Read more

The brake system, specifically the master brake cylinder and/or associated brake system components, failed or malfunctioned. It has remained in the continuous possession of the authorized Chevrolet dealership since January 13, 2026, and has not been returned to ser
... vice. The defect involves the primary braking system, which is a critical safety component. Sudden and unexpected loss of braking ability significantly increases the risk of a collision, serious injury, or death to the driver, passengers, pedestrians, and other motorists. The vehicle was deemed unsafe to operate due to the risk of brake failure. The problem has been confirmed by the authorized Chevrolet dealership. The service department diagnosed the issue as a defective master brake cylinder and/or related brake system components. The dealer advised that the condition presents a safety risk and that the vehicle cannot be safely operated until the issue is addressed. The vehicle has been inspected by an authorized Chevrolet dealership acting as the manufacturer’s representative. The manufacturer has been made aware of the problem. No inspection by police or an insurance representative has occurred, as no crash took place. The vehicle remains unrepaired as of February 9 due to parts unavailability. There was no adequate warning that would have allowed the driver to anticipate the loss of braking performance. The defect results in sudden brake failure without sufficient advance warning, which is a significant safety concern. The issue was identified in January 2026, at which time the vehicle was taken to the dealership. On January 13, 2026, the vehicle was removed from service and has remained at the dealership continuously since that date. The vehicle remains out of service because the master brake cylinder is on backorder. There is no ETA, and as a result, no repairs.Read more
