This is actually the second time I met the issue within the four years I own the car. After some researches, I decide to file this complain so some 3rd party can investigate into it. I have a Mercedes AMG C63s 2019 version with 19 inch OEM wheel. Firstly, it was a low tire pressure light. The dealership confirmed the tire was fine and there was actually a crack on the inner portion of the wheel t
... hat was causing the tire to leak air. I did not remember hitting a pothole or anything, and the tire showed no signs of damage so the wheels must be defective. But the dealership did not recognize it and would charge $1500/wheel to replace it. Please investigate into the Mercerdes AMG C-class OEM wheel rim as I also saw tons of people complaining this issue in a MB forum. The tricky part is that when another driver argued with the dealership that if they were not responsible for the wheel crack, he would take the wheel for a full evaluation. Then the dealership was willing to replace the wheel for free for the driver. Please investigate into this issue as wheel crack is serious safety issue.Read more

Front right ball joint separated from lower control arm with no advance warning and the drive shaft was disconnected from the vehicle body. I was travelling at about 15 mph in a straight line through an intersection on a flat surface with no potholes. Then I saw a warning of a transmission fault in my instrument cluster, followed by a loud grinding sound. My car then came to a stop and I was una
... ble to move the vehicle in Forward or Reverse gear. I ignition cycled the vehicle and tried forward/reverse, then someone told me that my front right wheel had separated. Upon inspecting my car from the outside, I then saw the mechanical failure that had occurred. The ball joint separated from the lower control arm . The drive shaft from the front right wheel also separated from the vehicle body. I also noticed that a ring-connector for the drive shaft had been flung maybe 4 feet from my car. My car was in a non-driveable condition and I could not engage drive with the transmission, my car had to be towed from the scene. If this had happened on a busier street or at higher speeds this would have been a severe collision. My car was just delivered to a Mercedes Dealership after sitting in a tow yard for several days, they have not yet fully inspected the vehicle. My insurance has not yet sent a representative to see the vehicle. The indication I had was a "TRANSMISSION FAULT" displayed on my instrument cluster, but I did not notice any other telltales on the instrument cluster after coming to a stop. To the best of my knowledge I did not collide with any objects before the event. There is damage to the outside of my front right rim and tire in the photos, I believe this damage occurred as part of the mechanical failure and how the tire may have deformed and the rim contacted the ground.Read more

While I was driving the car, with the seat belt fastened, the seat belt suddenly popped out. This was a scary experience! Repeated attempts to fasten the seat belt again did not work. On closer inspection, it appears that something inside the fastening system was probably broken, and the seat belt wasn't getting fastened in there. I immediately took the car to the dealer (Mercedes Benz of El Do
... rado Hills). After inspecting it, they were able to reproduce the issue (seat belt not getting fastened at all) and advised replacing the seatbelt system on the car. Unfortunately, they did not have the part in stock, so they advised that they would order the part and charge me $800 for this. I can't believe that a fundamental car safety system like this would fail like this. Imagine if there was a car accident and the seat belt just popped out of the fastener, not doing the job it was designed for? Thank you for investigating this issue. It could indeed save a lot of lives, if this is a widespread issue, necessitating a recall campaign from Mercedes.Read more

I’m severely disappointed with having to perform major maintenance on a vehicle with only 82k miles. This needs to be a recall. I cannot stress this enough. Stand by your product. You’re more than welcome to contact me. My vehicle will be in the shop for over a week and no loaner vehicle is available for use. The car is currently at Mercedes Benz of South Mississippi. I have owned multiple Mercedes’ products from c class, clk class, and two cls550s. This is what I sent to Mercedes Benz corporate. This was the response: Thank you so much for contacting Mercedes-Benz USA regarding your concerns of the condition of your 2014 CLS550's rear subframe. We understand the circumstances you've faced as a result of your vehicle's required repairs, and we are delighted to guide you in the best direction as a valued member of our Mercedes-Benz family. Our goal is always to advocate for our customer's concerns. While we would love to cover all repairs outside of warranty terms, it's simply unrealistic. It is our recommendation that you submit your photos to the National Highway Traffic Safety Association, as they are an entity that can investigate any considerations for recalls based on customer's claims. Your concerns will be documented to your account with Mercedes-Benz as well. We hope you find the following information useful, and we wish you all the best.Read more

We just purchased a 2006 Mercedes for our teenage sons and had a dealer look at it before we purchased it. They told us there were a couple of codes that were worth watching but that it wasn’t anything significant right now. After the car started jerking and shaking while driving it, we brought it in to dealership where they told us it had a common code for Mercedes in this timeframe P0016. Repa
... ir estimate is nearly $5000 to replace timing chain and balance shaft, or a new engine which would be roughly the same. After researching on my own upon being told this code, I found all of the information about the class action lawsuit and settlement, which of course we are too late to be a part of. The dealer said there is a potential that the car could just seize up at some point, so I don’t want my young sons to be out on the road when that happens. I am very frustrated and upset that this wasn’t a recall since it apparently affected a huge amount of vehicles manufactured within this time frame. There is a specific list of engines with known issues and ours is among them. Mercedes Benz should be held responsible for making this right because it was definitely a quality issue. Now we are stuck with an unsafe vehicle, or a massive expense due to defect.Read more

My 2015 E350 with only 40,000 miles was diagnosed to have a rotted and detached rear sub frame . Seems to be a common problem because of defective metal used by the manufacturer. There seems to be a lot of others with same issue I found on the internet . While Mercedes’ Benz has no recall as of yet. While driving on the highway , while at 50 to 60 mph. The car would sway and feel like it was
... sliding . After hitting the brakes the car would pull drastically to one side . After inspection at my Mercedes Benz dealership they told me that it is completely rotted and broke apart, this is a life safety accident since it could disconnect and hit gas tank and rip apart brake lines. The rear axle would shift and possibly fall out. While driving this car it put my family in complete danger . There were no signs , warning lights etc . That could have made me aware of the severe situation.Read more

With no prior warning indicator on braking issues with my 2014 C250, I travelled from Ormond Beach FL to Savannah GA, on I-95 with one stop in Kingsland GA. A failure occurred with the braking system as I exited I-95, with no vehicle warning indicator shown before or after I came to a stop. I had to exert maxim

An elderly, weaker person or even my wife wouldn’t have had the strength to stop over the distance I stopped it in. Luckily there was no vehicles stopping in front of me, otherwise I would have hit them at high speed. At Savannah Mercedes they found a Faulty Vacuum Pump, & like me were perplexed that no prior warning indicator showed up on my vehicle. This issue has obviously caused me great concern & indicates an inherent dangerous & life-threatening condition with my, & I assume other 2014 C-250’s, if not other years and models. If this dangerous failure had occurred on I-95 as traffic slowed to a stop, I would have run into the vehicle in front of me & my wife & could have been killed. More menacingly, it would most probably have been reported that I wasn’t paying attention & it was my fault rather that a catastrophic dangerous manufacturer failure with my vehicle.
