The key not coming out of the ignition poses a security concern because it is unclear if it is the ignition switch or actually the shifter. If the

GM has already had recalls on other vehicles for this same issue. I feel GM should cover this vehicle and year too, especially since there are so many.Read more

Another explains that this a safety defect from the manufacturer, and that the whole door must be replaced for safety regulations. So I decided to take the car back to the dealership, explaining it to the dealers. They still refused to do anything about it, saying that they won’t don’t anything about it, and try finding a place that will glue it back together or do it yourself.Read more

Then on March 17, 2023, we picked the vehicle up from Landers after repairs. After leaving Landers Chrysler and then getting onto HE Bailey Turnpike the vehicle’s check engine light came back on, and the passenger headlight was out again. However, on March 20, 2023, [XXX] wrote a letter to Landers Chrysler with several complaints which needed to be rectified. •RE: Failure to disclose material information, and/or making a false representation of a present or past material fact such as a diagnostic trouble code: (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold [possible needed repairs] 2015 Chevrolet Traverse) known to dealer, and by the dealer’s failing to disclose such information involving the vehicle's history to a recent purchaser, and Lending Institution. Landers Chrysler did fix the problem with the check engine light, but refused to fix the front headlight problem, and told the [XXX] that since they had a service contract, that should cover the headlight situation. However, that is not the case. The service contract does not cover headlight problems, and Classic Chevrolet where the vehicle is now located wants to charge me over $2000 to fix the problem. Although my wife and I thought that the headlight was fixed, it was later learned that it was not. I sincerely believe that Landers Chrysler knew that the headlights and possibly light switches had serious problems, then sold the vehicle knowing this. Upon starting the van (brand new, less than 300 mi driven) everything functions normally in P, however as soon as I shift into D, there is no power and the gas pedal is completely unresponsive (Can push pedal to the floor and still 0 RPM). This issue happens randomly, though the common factor that myself and many others have experienced is being at altitude >5000ft (quite common in western US). Th
... ere are no warning/error indicators and service dashboard looks clean. The only fix appears to be restarting the engine or waiting for it to idle for 5-10min to "warm up" even though this happens in both cold (20F) and warm (70F) weather. This is very dangerous as I will start up the van, and roll out of the driveway/parking lot/etc and then when I go to accelerate the power dies leaving me stranded in the middle of the road with no ability to get the van moving apart from turning it off and restarting it. An odd thing is when this occurs, if I shift back into P (from D) then the engine comes alive again and I can rev >3k RPM while in P, but as soon as I shift back into D the power is gone and I'm back at the 0 RPM issue. This issue seems like some kind of sensor malfunction that occurs randomly at altitude and likely due to Mercedes' lack of testing at altitudes commonly found in the USA.Read more
