As I was driving and began to slow down the vehicle switched from gas to electric driving and during the transition the entire vehicle started shaking excessively. As it happened it felt like the engine or transmission was the cause of the shake. This has happened 4 times randomly so far.

On June 1 2023 at 6:24 pm, driving at around 40 mph, the car suddenly braked hard and lurched to the left. There were no cars or other obstructions in front of the car. This braking and lurching to the left lasted a few seconds, but almost came to a complete stop. After a few seconds it resumed normal operation.

As I got out of the vehicle, I close the door and hear a noise that is not normal for a typical door close. I opened and shut the door a few more times, then I walked around the vehicle to see if there was any damage from the loud noise that I heard while driving along I-70. I look all around the vehicle, then finally I notice the glass on the moonroof didn’t look right. This is when I noticed that the moonroof had shattered. So, I use my cooler that I brought with me for the trip and look at the moonroof at a better viewing angle. I see that the glass has shattered. This seemed very unusual since I did not see any dents or scratches from any possible object that could have caused this. At this moment I reflected about my time driving on I-70 when that loud noise occurred moments earlier. The noise sounded like a gun shot that was very close by. I remember that I was not near any cars close to me, and there was no underpass nearby when the noise happened. The weather was partly cloudy, and the temperature was around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. This is the second time the transmission and clutch have been replaced. ... CRANK CASE VENT VALVE. RECOMMEND REPLACING. Approximate miles at the time of this issue: 63,141. Cost of Repair: $8309.58 Yes, the vehicle is available for inspection. Safety concerns: The vehicle is not able to pass an emissions test with the engine light engaged. Per America Service Center in Arlington, VA, which is the only service center that has serviced the vehicle during my ownership, they commented and documented that oil is entering through a vent valve. My additional concerns are: If an odorless fume is passing into the passenger cabin and the vehicle can not pass state emissions these are immediate concerns. The service center advices that I may continue to drive the vehicle. However, I am concerned should the oil fully empty without warning the vehicle may fail while in use on a dangerous roadway due to cause and effect of additional unknown maintenance related operational co-dependent mechanical components.Read more

This time, the stop was much more forceful than previous incidents. - May 5, 2023 my car received the following prompt on my screen "Your vehicle has detected a breakdown. Do you want to receive support from Mercedes-Benz Roadside Assistance" - Mercedes assessed my car and reported the following: C111A00 Radar sensor 1 is disrupted by interference from an external transmitter." We were told at dealership that the vehicle needs a new PTU, however, we are not under recall as of now. This looks like a widespread issue with 2014-2016 jeeps and they need to be replaced.

Traveling at 50mph when warning lights started, AWD malfunction, auto idle malfunction, gear shift malfunction, then warning says shift to N and power shut down, coasted to a stop. Once stopped smoke coming from engine, unable to open hood (to hot). Within 2 min flames were coming around hood fire extinguishers not helpful to stop flames. Fire department arrived within 15 min to extinguish.
