On July 27, 2023 as I was accelerating to enter a busy interstate, my vehicle warning light came on for low oil pressure and went into a limp mode only allowing the vehicle to drive 45MPH. When the vehicle was brought in for inspection, the technician seemed to know the precise problem from just the description of events. After they inspected the car, they confirmed that the vehicle’s engine experienced an oil pump failure that would require a new engine. The vehicle has been at dealership since that day awaiting the back ordered engine to arrive so it can be installed. Today is September 25, 2023 and I still have not heard of an estimated date for the back ordered engine from Ford to arrive. The repair is estimated to be $8,300 since it was out of warranty. I have already given a $4,000 deposit to the service department so they could order the engine parts, although the engine isn’t even accessible. I have since rented a car totaling $1050 and just went and purchased a second vehicle so I wouldn’t have to waste more money renting a vehicle.Read more

The micro shift on the shifter does not push the lever up enough to register that the car is in park. You think your car is in park until you go to take the key out and it does not come out. OR I parked in a parking spot thinking I put it in park as my car displayed park and it started rolling. There is a whole forum about this issue . So I know I’m one of hundreds. I have a problem with the variable speed windshield wipers. This has occurred twice now in the past 2 weeks or so and I paid a little closer attention to the symptoms the second time (yesterday). When the problem occurs, the wipers have only ONE speed: LOW. The speed does not increase as the rain gets heavier AND you can not increase the speed by switching the selector to HIGH either. ... the rain gets heavier, the visibility gets REALLY bad and the only solution seems to be to slow WAY down, which is not a good thing to suddenly do on a "freeway". I was able to determine if I select OFF on the wiper control and then turn it back ON, the problem (sometimes) goes away and the wipers operate normally.......for a while. Of course, turning the wipers OFF during heavy rain isn't a good thing to do either. I am calling my Ford dealer today to make an appointment for service. Since the condition has been intermittent (so far), I fear that their answer might be "no trouble found" if they can't observe the failure themselves.Read more

The safety concern is that the high voltage battery could get wet and become or cause a fire safety hazard. Ran a test then explained the test showing there's been a number of malfunctions happening. Said vehicle isn't having the issue at this moment so it passed. Said it was ok to drive. happened again appointment day came the 7th. Service Manger called me saying he can't get me in needs to reschedule. Recently my steering wheel started feeling sticky. When going straight, the steering wheel sticks and I have to use more force to make the steering wheel turn.
