On [XXX] I was at a stoplight with my children and when it turned green I went to proceed and then I was moving slowly and it wasn't letting me go any specific speed and died in the middle of the road on a busy intersection at that leaving my children and I at risk of being potentially hit by another car, and it was in the evening time something could have happened to us Ladies as I have a [XXX]
... and a [XXX] and I'm a [XXX]. Mind you my battery was brand new so there was no indications on my dashboard giving me any sign of warnings nor was my Nissan rogue driving any different as I've kept up with maintenance and oil changes all of the above. So not only did I have to get out and push my Nissan rogue out of the road my [XXX] had to steer and I about got ran over and that's jeopardized in my life and then my kids wouldn't have had a mother thank God people jumped off their bicycles to help me. Then people the gas station tried to jump me but they're jumper cables and they said your battery is completely dead and I said that's not possible because I have a brand new battery as of a couple weeks ago just for the simple being that I'm responsible and I replace things when it's past the time and needs to be replaced. So my friend drove all the way up to us went across the street to AutoZone and bought a brand new battery and put it in then car started right up and was back to normal. But after the girls and I got home and went to bed we got up did our normal daily routine and got in the car to go do some errands and I pull out of my neighborhood and then boom I did it again and I was stuck in the middle of traffic on [XXX] . Three officers had to block off traffic then battery wouldn't hold a charge with that brand new battery three batteries later and an alternator we'll see what happens now INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

For several months the 2006 Rav4 with only 118k miles had been experiencing intermittent failure of power steering while driving at speeds between 5-20mph. These failures resulted in the steering wheel to become extremely difficult if not impossible to turn while the car is driving. In each incident, this resulted in stopping the car and putting on emergency lights until we can safely turn off the
... car and hopefully the issue goes away several minutes later. This issue has proven to be very dangerous when in traffic with no place to pull over and with the steering tightening up, it is not even possible to pull over in most cases. Four different mechanical shops tried to replicate the issue and none were able to determine the root cause nor replicate it consistently. This issue has been happening more frequently now and the car cannot be taken out safely. As [XXX] drivers, this is not safe by any means and Toyota should consider this a critical safety recall and cover towing costs to move this. There are no signs of instrument lights or any leaks coming from the car. This seems to be entirely a malfunction of steering components. With regard to incidents resulting from this, my mother is the primary driver, she is [XXX] old and injured her wrist trying to move the steering wheel to a safe location. Her wrist is still in pain several days later. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

The center touchscreen in my Tesla Model S developed a yellow discoloration and later began leaking a sticky fluid from the edges of the display. This fluid appears to be seeping from inside the screen and emits a noticeable odor. The touchscreen is the primary interface for controlling most of the vehicle’s safety-critical systems, including the backup camera, gear selection, climate control, l

This directly impacts the rearview camera feed — making it harder to see obstacles or pedestrians when reversing — which is a federally mandated safety feature under FMVSS 111. The problem worsens in hot weather and may result in fluid dripping onto electronics below, creating an electrical hazard or sudden display failure while driving. This appears to be a known design flaw in which the adhesive or seal inside the display fails over time. The issue can impair visibility of safety alerts, rearview camera images, and vehicle status, posing a significant safety risk to occupants and others.Read more

On Sunday, [XXX], I was driving on a state highway in my 21 Ford F150 FX4 with my family. 67mph, 73 degrees sunny outside. The sunroof was closed, and all windows in the vehicle were closed. On Monday morning ([XXX]), I took my truck to the local Ford service center, and they inspected it, shocked at the results. They filed a claim that Ford denied because the windows are not covered by my extended warranty. They wanted to charge me $ 4,000 for the repair/replacement of the glass and track. I have been on the phone with Ford Protection and Ford Customer Service (Aug 6th, 2025), trying to get something resolved, and Ford continues to deny responsibility. Vehicle Safety Complaint Report: 2017 Jeep Renegade Latitude The sunroof assembly failed. The entire unit appears to be permanently bonded to the roof, rather than designed for modular replacement. This design flaw makes the issue unserviceable without replacing the entire roof structure. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The sunroof will not close, which: -Makes the vehicle
... unfit for safe driving in any weather condition. -Increases the risk of loose objects being sucked out at high speeds, potentially striking other vehicles or pedestrians. -Leaves the interior exposed to rain or wind, reducing driver visibility and focus. -Weakens the structural integrity of the roof in the event of a rollover Presents a theft and vandalism risk due to an unsecured vehicle. This vehicle has a double sunroof, meaning nearly the entire roof is compromised when the system fails. The exposure affects both front and rear passengers, greatly increasing risk for everyone inside and for other drivers on the road. A service center confirmed that the sunroof cannot be simply repaired or replaced because it is glued into the roof. They explained that repair would require replacing the entire roof, which is thousands of dollars and not covered by any active recall or warranty. The issue has been reviewed by a service technician. At this time, the manufacturer has not formally inspected it, but the vehicle is available for inspection. There were no warning lamps or alerts. The failure occurred suddenly—the sunroof stopped closing and became stuck. This occurred without any prior mechanical symptoms or electrical malfunction warnings.Read more

The failure occurred in the sidewalls of the two factory‑supplied all‑season tires on the passenger‑side (front and rear) of my 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe. Both tires exhibit pronounced bulges on the outer sidewall of the front passenger tire. Tire size is 255/45 R20 105V M+S The rear OEM tire was replaced on February 10, 2025 and front OEM tire (with DOT codes visible) remain mounted on the v
... ehicle, but I must replace it to keep the vehicle operational. I noticed the bulging of the second tire today, July 29, 2025. Sidewall bulges indicate internal cord separation. A sudden loss of air pressure or blowout—especially at highway speeds—could result in rapid vehicle instability, loss of control, and a potentially serious crash, endangering occupants and other road users. No, the problem has yet to be inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance or others. However there is mounting conserns and simular reports of the same problem occurring with other owners of 2024 Hyundai SantaFes with the same OEM tire. No warning lamps, messages or other symptons prior to the problem occuring. There has been no off‑road use, curb impacts, overloading, or manufacturing advisories at the time of discovery. My best assessment is a potential manufacturing or design defect in the OEM tire sidewall construction causing premature internal separation under normal use.Read more
