Incident date: May 20, 2025
When braking — both at low speeds and when slowing from highway speeds (40+ mph) — vehicle feels like engine revs and is still pushing against the brakes. Requires very firm pedal pressure to hold car in place; if brake pressure is eased, vehicle surges forward until it finally settles after several seconds. Concern is intermittent but repeatable. I had a near collision on 10/3/2025 due to thi
... s issue. I have been in constant contact with the dealership on this, including the service manager, as well as Cadillac Care. The dealership has test driven the vehicle several times and has been unable to replicate the problem. However, I do have an audio recording of the engine’s idle speed at various points during one incident.Read more

On my dash my AWD fault warning has showed up followed by hill assist not available and traction control not available. I have about 83,600 miles and don’t seem to understand why I have to pay since in the customer satisfaction program it states that the module needs to be replaced before sale and customers that have already purchased the vehicle should have it replaced no charge to them. I’ve only just gotten this car last year February 2024 and not sure if the owner before got the notice or not. Since winter is starting soon I really need to get this fixed it’s a safety hazard and I’m not understanding why it is not a recall since it showed up suddenly and stopped my drive modes from working and traction that’s very important in the winter.Read more

1am filing this complaint regarding my 2016 Ford Edge (VIN: [XXX] ), which has experienced a severe and dangerous failure. Ford has acknowledged a defect in the flexplate at the transmission bellhousing area under Customer Satisfaction Program (CSP) 22N12. This defect causes rattling noises and eventually results in flexplate cracks that can lead to sudden loss of power while driving. My vehicle
... is currently undrivable due to this defect. I have documentation from February 2025 (A&M Auto Repair, Invoice #[XXX]) showing that a technician identified noise from the rear of the engine/front of the transmission area and suspected flexplate cracks at that time. Despite this, my vehicle never received the CSP repair. Ford is refusing to cover the repair because my vehicle has exceeded the 120,000-mile cutoff for CSP coverage. However, this is not acceptable because: •The defect was documented earlier and existed within the coverage period. •More importantly, this is a serious safety defect that can cause sudden power loss while driving, creating a high risk of accidents. •Ford has incorrectly limited the remedy under a CSP with a mileage cutoff, instead of issuing a proper safety recall without mileage limits. Requested Action: I am requesting NHTSA to investigate and require Ford to: 1.Treat the flexplate defect as a recall, not a CSP. 2.Provide full repair coverage for affected vehicles regardless of mileage. 3.Ensure consumer safety is not compromised by arbitrary mileage cutoffs. In addition, my vehicle has also experienced repeated brake warning lights, which aligns with Ford’s brake hose recall (NHTSA Recall 25V544). The combination of braking issues and flexplate failure creates an extremely unsafe condition. Thank you for your attention to this urgent safety matter. While driving my 2023 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy at about 30 mph on a small paved street, the sunroof suddenly exploded with a very loud bang. Thankfully, the inside sliding cover was closed, so no glass entered the cabin, but the sound was extremely alarming and could have easily caused an accident if conditions were diffe

After looking online, I discovered many other Hyundai owners reporting the same issue with their panoramic sunroofs, so this does not appear to be an isolated incident. This is a major safety concern. If the interior cover had been open, shattered glass would have fallen directly onto me and my passengers, likely causing injuries. The sudden loud explosion can also startle drivers and lead to loss of control. I believe this is a dangerous defect that requires investigation.Read more

I’ve been experiencing headaches, dizziness, and sudden tearing episodes while driving and the tearing only happens while driving my MINI. A few of these episodes have occurred on the highway, the painful eye irritation and crazy tearing made it very difficult to keep my eyes open, which has been super dangerous. I forced myself to keep at least one eye open to pull over, and fortunately I'm sti
... ll alive. I recently found that these symptoms are probably linked to the premature failure (at 10k miles) of the AC system and exposure to the refrigerant leaked from the vent. I noticed AC hissing noise a few days after my warranty expired at only 10k miles, the dealer found super low refrigerant but could not find any leak. They recharged it and said my car was good, but noise came back after 3 months. They were still not able to find the leak, and asked me to replace one part at a time until it's fixed. I called MINI, MINI helped the dealer to find leak from compressor and replaced it. I mentioned a weird odor every time I start my car but they didn't investigate further. The noise came back again after 5 months (at 12k miles). I brought it to another dealer (since I moved) and two independent mechanics (as the previous dealer has been very incompetent), all diagnosed leak from evaporator because of the odor and that the cabin air filter has refrigerant dye all over it upon checking. The previous dealer didn't check the filter at all according to my dash camera, and because of the same odor, the timeline of the repeated failures, I believe the evaporator leak also happened at 10k miles. And one of the independent mechanics who specializes in BMW and MINI mentioned he had seen quite a few such cases in 2018 and 2019 MINIs. I think failure of two major AC components at such low mileage isn't normal, and the unexpected headache, dizziness, and strong eye irritation while driving are super dangerous. The repair cost for the defects should not be customers' responsibility.Read more
