One to two times per month upon starting my Cybertruck I receive multiple notifications for systems not working including "Driver Assistance - Automatic Emergency Braking is unavailable" and "Steering & Braking - Adaptive ride control degraded/Ride comfort may be reduced." These alerts cause the disablement of the regenerative braking, auto-hold (braking), emergency braking, adaptive ride control
... , traction control, and the self drive features. While the vehicle is still drivable, my ability to control the vehicle is greatly diminished, as is the safety of the vehicle without any of the accident avoidance and stability systems working. After driving in this condition, if I park the vehicle, exit it, and let it sit for at least 10 minutes, all systems are normal upon reentry. On 1/5 I experienced this issue and opened a service request for warranty work and Tesla demanded that I agree to a $200 charge before they would even look at it and said if they were unable to see the issue then it would not be considered as warranty. Since I cannot reproduce this issue on demand I cancelled the service request as I do not want to pay them $200 to say they couldn't reproduce the issue. Internet searches have revealed that this is a common issue among Cybertrucks and despite multiple software updates since owning my vehicle, it has not gotten any better.Read more

This is the date I first took the vehicle to a dealership. The Transmission has performed poorly and the wiper would not work at all and it was not a fuse problem. Transmission finally failed and had to be replaced (6/25) but car is in a dealership for the 3rd time for windshield wipers. They do not work so car is dangerous. You leave home with no rain and then there is rain and wipers sometimes w
... orked, most of the times they did not. On 6/25 they would not address the issue as wipers worked in High speed (but only on high speed). 3 months later they did not work at all. It did not rain in LA so not concerned, but now it is. This is a serious system design flaw. The replaced complete wiper blade system, but The relays on the bottom of the fuse box control the wiper blades. I have the Z71 off-road package as I drive off-road and in snow conditions. This car was designed poorly as this is a 4x4 vehicle and moister should not effect the electrical system nor a safety device like the windshield wipers. This is a potential recall issue to properly fix the problem. Sadly the majority of vehicle owns just drive on the highway, but others have reported windshield wiper failures.Read more

In bright sunlight or at certain sun angles, the central touchscreen in my 2026 Tesla Model Y becomes unreadable due to glare and washout. This screen is required for essential driving functions. 1 Brakes: The brakes seem to have excessive wear. The car was purchased new and started making loud squeaking noises after about 18k miles. The squeaking sometimes went away after regular maintenance, but usually reappeared withing a few hundred miles of driving. Strangely, the loud squeaking went away as soon as the dashboard light displayed. 2 Lane Keeping Assistance: the car will attempt to swerve into other lanes, fighting my attempts to control the steering wheel. This happens when lane markings have been redrawn, but the vehicle is detecting the painted-over lines and tries to divert to there instead. It also happens when a lane has an option to split into different directions. If I am driving straight, the vehicle will try to swerve into the alternate direction, instead of proceeding in the direction the car is already traveling. This sometimes risks driving into a curbs or barriers that separate the directions and has occurred numerous times.Read more

I am filing this complaint regarding serious and ongoing safety and quality issues with my 2025 Range Rover Evoque S. Since shortly after taking delivery, I have experienced persistent problems that have not been resolved despite multiple service visits over the past year. As a result, I have lost confidence in the safety and reliability of this vehicle. The issues include an overheating wireless
... charging pad that becomes unsafe to use. This issue has been acknowledged by the dealership as a known problem. During an early service visit, a representative advised me to purchase a third party wireless charger rather than offering a repair. The vehicle also has persistent interior rattling from the rear passenger side that continues despite repeated repair attempts. During my most recent service visit, I was told that the vehicle is built plastic on plastic and that this noise should be expected. Most concerning is an active passenger airbag recall issued Aug. 27, 2025. Due to a cyber incident affecting Land Rover systems, there is currently no remedy available. Because of this unresolved recall, I do not allow passengers in the vehicle, as I do not believe it is safe. This restriction has been in place for months and has significantly limited my ability to use the vehicle. I only drive when absolutely necessary. Because the dealership was unable to resolve these issues, a retailer representative who has been aware of the problems from the beginning recommended that I pursue a vehicle repurchase through Land Rover. I followed that recommendation and formally requested a repurchase. Land Rover denied the request without explanation and referred me to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to file a complaint. I remain in possession of the vehicle but no longer feel safe or confident driving it. I am submitting this complaint so these safety issues are formally documented and reviewed. Manual Park--release cable escaped its locking position, locking front wheel brakes ON. For a few weeks prior to 12-21-2025, I've experienced minor Jeep "death wobble" (suspension issue) at highway speeds when encountering an irregularity (bump) in the road surface. On 12-21-2025, I experienced moderate Jeep "death wobble" at around 60 mph (several times). On a desert 2 lane highway, I was seriously in danger of running off the road to the right (crashing into rock faces bigger tha
... n the car) or running into oncoming traffic to the left. I was about an hour away from home and was able to reproduce the problem. I found that the issue was minimized if I kept it under 58 mph. Unfortunately, this motivated many drivers to dangerously pass me. The next day, I took it to the local off-road mechanic and they determined it was a worn tie-rod and recommended replacing the tie rod and installing/upgrading the steering stabilizer. From what I have read during my research is that those are band aid approaches to a more serious engineering/design issue with the Jeep Wrangler. I've further learned that Fiat-Chrysler (or the current owner) has continued to address the issue that has been problematic for decades. There are no recalls for my vehicle and the relevant TSBs I could find apply to older models (latest I saw was 2020 JL). However, it's clear the issue has not been resolved on my more current model (2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon JL). The vehicle is available for your inspection.Read more

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to formally file a safety complaint regarding unresolved factory recalls on my Jeep vehicle, for which I have already received official recall notifications from the manufacturer. Upon receiving the recall notices, I promptly contacted and visited an authorized Jeep service center to have the required repairs completed. However, I was informed that the necessary r
... eplacement parts are currently unavailable and that the service center is unable to perform the recall repairs until approximately February. One of the recalls specifically involves the electric charging system and warns of a potential fire risk. Being informed that this condition could result in the vehicle catching fire, yet being unable to have the issue remedied for several months due to part unavailability, is extremely concerning. Despite the seriousness of the safety risk outlined in the recall notice, I have been advised that there is no interim fix, mitigation, or alternative remedy available at this time. This situation places me in a difficult and unsafe position, as I am expected to continue operating a vehicle that the manufacturer has already acknowledged may pose a fire hazard. The uncertainty around how to safely use or store the vehicle during this period has caused significant concern for my personal safety and that of others. I am submitting this complaint to request NHTSA’s review of this matter, particularly regarding: * The delay between recall notification and availability of repair parts * The adequacy of interim safety guidance provided to vehicle owners * The potential risk posed to consumers who are unable to have critical safety recalls addressed in a timely manner Thank you for your attention to this matter. I appreciate NHTSA’s role in ensuring vehicle safety and protecting consumers, and I hope this issue can be reviewed to prevent potential harm.Read more

The last two cars I had (Ford Escapes), had over 218k or 185k miles and they were still drivable when I got a replacement vehicle. Now I buy this used Equinox with almost 70k miles and I’m wondering if it is going to break down within the first year. I expect I will be buying lots of oil and checking/changing it often.
