On a high-speed highway (Route 14), the vehicle suffered a sudden flat tire/air loss event, forcing an emergency pull-off onto a narrow shoulder with 65 mph traffic. Subsequent inspection revealed the failed tire and the rest of the set were manufactured in late 2007 (DOT code 4907). These 19-year-old tires were installed by a professional tire shop despite being far beyond their safe service lif

Safety Risk: Sudden tire failure at highway speeds created immediate loss-of-control risks and exposed occupants to high-speed semi-truck traffic on a narrow shoulder. Confirmation/Inspection: DOT date code 4907 confirmed by visual inspection. The installing tire shop was notified and acknowledged the sale/installation. Not yet inspected by manufacturer or law enforcement. Warning Signs: No warning lights, pressure drops, or symptoms occurred prior to failure. I am reporting a severe electrical fire and system failure hazard resulting from unauthorized, dealership-installed aftermarket wiring modifications on a brand new 2026 Mazda CX-30. At the point of sale, Walker's Renton Mazda ([XXX]) spliced invasive, unauthorized aftermarket tracking/security wiring (suspected LoJack or similar) directly into the factory CAN-bus and main wiring harnesses. Thes
... e modifications were done without consent, actively concealed during the pre-purchase inspection, and compromise the integrity of the vehicle's primary electrical architecture. Specifically, the physical installation bypassed standard safety protocols and compromised the vehicle's firewall insulation. As a military electromechanical engineering veteran, I recognize that unauthorized taps into a modern vehicle's high-speed data network and main power lines introduce immense risk of short circuits, signal logic failure, parasitic draw, and most critically, catastrophic electrical fires. Despite providing physical evidence of the tampered wiring, the dealership's management has denied the modifications exist and refused to remediate the safety hazard by unwinding the compromised vehicle. Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) has also refused to intervene under Case #XXX. The vehicle remains in my custody, but it is fundamentally compromised and unsafe due to the dealer's tampering with factory safety and electrical standards. I am requesting NHTSA investigate this dealership's practice of covertly installing unregulated electronics into new factory wiring harnesses, as it presents an unreasonable risk to motor vehicle safety. My vehicle experienced a total, premature radiator failure at 43,500 miles, after the manufacturer's factory warranty expired. The vehicle began leaking engine coolant rapidly. This creates a severe safety hazard, as a sudden loss of coolant leads to immediate engine overheating, potential engine stall, and catastrophic failure while driving at highway speeds, increasing the risk of a crash.A cert
... ified technician diagnosed the vehicle and provided video/photographic evidence confirming that the coolant leak is originating from a specific crack on the lower section of the driver's side radiator. This is a known, systemic manufacturing defect based on my research. Numerous other 2024 Mazda CX-90 owners on automotive forums have documented the exact same failure occurring in the exact same location on the lower driver-side radiator. The defect required a complete radiator replacement, forcing me to pay approximately $2,204 (with taxes and fees) out of pocket for a premature component failure that should safely last past 100,000 miles. I have digital photographic/video proof of the cracked unit from the service technician available for review.Read more

I bought my 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV 10 months ago with 22000 miles on it and no and now has 29000 miles on it. First thing I had a issue with was a Motor Mount was bad, took 12 weeks to get part was told it was safe to drive. Next, since I have had the vehicle I have been having a issue with the transmission making a noise while both shifting from first to second and also on down shifting. It does
... not happen all the time but is happening. I took the vehicle in to the dealership to have it looked at and they were able to reproduce the issue. When they conferred with Mazda on the issue they were told that it was a known issue but there is no fix for it at this point and was dertermined safe to drive. I also talked to Mazda myself who also told me that it was a known issue but there is no fix and determined it safe to drive. I love the vehicle but to have this noise keep happening and being told they are working on a fix does not make me feel confident in the vehicle with this especially when my wife also drives it. My biggest question is this is a 2024 Mazda and I am told the 2025 also has the same problem. How long is the answer were working on a fix to long to believe that they actually are since there are now 2026 and soon to be 2027 models coming out. I am being told it is only the PHEV vehicles having this issue which explains the reason the PHEV model I believe is being discontinued. Would love to hear from you what my recourse would be. Thanks in advance for your timeRead more

The vehicle exhibits a repeatable low-speed driveline-related problem consisting of pronounced clicking or clunking from the driver-front area, fore-and-aft jerking, and harsh engagement during deceleration and light on/off-throttle transitions, particularly around 15–17 mph; the behavior can become significantly worse over rough or uneven terrain. The exact failed component or system has not ye

The vehicle is still essentially new, with fewer than 5,000 miles, and has not yet reached its first scheduled service interval, so it has not yet been formally inspected for this condition. No warning lamp or diagnostic message has appeared. Other owners online have described a similar low-speed clunking and jerking phenomenon, and Mazda has issued at least one prior transmission-related TSB addressing somewhat similar harsh shift behavior, although that bulletin does not appear to apply to this vehicle or this exact symptom. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The concern presents a potential safety risk because the vehicle can unexpectedly jerk, lurch, or abruptly change driveline load during ordinary low-speed driving, which can make accelerator response and vehicle speed less predictable in traffic, parking lots, intersections, or on uneven surfaces. The symptoms began within the first few thousand miles and remain repeatable.Read more

Recently, while driving our Mazda CX-90 (2025) we noticed a persistent and constant odor of fuel/gasoline vapors arise from the vehicle. We noticed this after driving the vehicle approximately 120 min from Las Vegas, NV to St. George, UT. The smell was intoxicating and nauseating. I took it into 2 local dealerships to investigate and called Mazda USA headquarters and spoke to a supervisor located
... in Irvine, CA. She explained to me that she gets complaints like this all the time during the summer months and that the larger Cx-90 is known to have the issue of leaking gasoline fumes/smelling of strong gasoline odor. I expressed my concerns for the safety of my family and surrounding environment including the flammable nature as well. The remedy that was provided was similar to the previous stating to park it outside and not fill up the gasoline tank greater than 3/4 full. I expressed that I drive a 2012 Honda Accord and do not have a gasoline leak nor strong odor of this magnitude nor have I ever experienced this before. We live in Las Vegas, NV. I am expected to drive my vehicle less and park it on the street all summer or when temperatures are above 100 deg? She stated, “We live in times where these newer vehicles are not made like the old ones.” I asked, “So is it this model that has the issue?” She replied, “Its the big one right, the CX-90? Yes, the bigger vehicles have this issue.” Is this considered normal to have a valve to release fuel vapors due to high pressures?Read more

This creates a serious safety risk because the driver may be unable to make an immediate steering correction at highway speeds. I brought the vehicle to an authorized Mazda dealership and specifically requested that they determine whether the problem was related to the previous 6524A recall. The dealership documented my complaint as the steering wheel getting “STUCK” at 50/65 mph and referenced Recall 6524A and increased steering effort. The dealership inspected the vehicle and marked the steering concern FAILED. Their written recommendation states that the vehicle “needs steering rack.” The estimated repair cost is $2,236.45, with a total estimate of $2,524.19 including fees and taxes. I escalated this issue to Mazda Corporate and requested coverage because the vehicle previously received a safety recall repair involving the same steering system. Mazda Corporate denied coverage, leaving me responsible for the repair. The financial burden is also a serious concern. I currently cannot afford the approximately $2,500 repair, meaning I am unable to have this documented safety defect corrected. While operating the vehicle, the transmission suffered an abrupt failure resulting in Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P0720 (Output Speed Sensor Circuit). Further diagnostic inspection revealed a complete internal failure of the integrated valve body assembly, which houses the Transmission Control Module (TCM), solenoids, and output speed sensors. The failure caused an immediate loss of gear select
... ion, restricting the transmission to 3rd gear ("limp mode"). Attempting to accelerate beyond 3rd gear causes violent vehicle shaking, severe hesitation, and an inability to maintain traffic speeds due to the TCM losing signal input from the speed sensors and solenoid circuits. This total valve body/TCM failure creates a critical safety hazard. Sudden restriction to 3rd gear without warning on highways or during turn movements leaves the vehicle unable to match surrounding traffic speeds, creating an immediate risk of a rear-end or side-impact collision. The vehicle has been strictly maintained according to manufacturer schedules. Because Nissan/Infiniti designed the TCM and speed sensors as an integrated unit inside the hydraulic valve body, a sensor failure requires replacing the entire valve body/TCM unit—a repair quoted at over $3,000, with complete transmission replacement exceeding that cost. This valve body/TCM failure mode is widely documented among Infiniti Q50 owners sharing the RE7R01A 7-speed automatic transmission platform, indicating a widespread electronic and mechanical defect that threatens driver safety.Read more

When I use the adaptive cruise control and use the lane keeping assistance the system keeps giving me an error message that I'm not looking at the road. In September 2025, the manufacturer issued a component specific extended limited warranty(MINI ELW FRM 15Y/186M)acknowledging the Footwell Module (FRM) may fail after a 12-volt battery disconnect or power supply interruption. My vehicle was identified by VIN as affected. Beginning in 2021, my vehicle experienced recurring electrical failures consistent with FRM failure: three battery replacements
... (2021, May 2024, December 2024), alternator failure (May 2024), windows failing to operate, erratic indicator lights, and engine rev on startup with momentary loss of vehicle control. Three separate mechanics examined the vehicle at different points. None could diagnose the cause because the FRM interfaces with the manufacturer’s proprietary diagnostic system, making the defect undetectable without dealer-specific equipment. On December 18, 2024, the vehicle broke down on the shoulder of I-75 near Exit 278 outside Atlanta, GA. I walked approximately 1.5 miles along the interstate to the nearest exit with a steep drop on one side and high-speed truck traffic on the other. The vehicle was impounded. I was stranded overnight, more than 7 hours from home. The vehicle has been inoperable since December 18, 2024. After receiving the warranty letter, I contacted my local authorized MINI dealer to schedule the covered repair. The service manager refused, demanded a $300 diagnostic fee, and stated they would only replace the module. I escalated to the manufacturer’s executive offices. The executive customer care office refused to arrange towing, waive diagnostic fees, or repair damage beyond the module. The manufacturer has effectively refused to honor its own warranty extension. Ford Motor Company put out a recall on the PCM. I had the recall performed and it has caused more damage to my truck. It now has eratic shifting, stuck gears, and going into limpmode. Ford Forums show that this is an ongoing issue after the reset is performed creating an unsafe vehicle to drive. The check engine light is now on and was not prior to this recall reset.

This July (2026) I found the power steering to fail on two separate hot days, a similar issue also occurred in July of 2025. Using an OBDII reader it appears that it may have been related to a torque sensor.

I started noticing hard and delayed shifts from 7th into 8th gear. My RPM's were not increasing when this happened, and then on a very crowded major road I lost all power, vehicle shut off and drifted, then started up and jerked again very hard. This failure could have caused a severe accident and jeopardized the well being of my wife, daughter, her friend and myself along with any other people th
... at could of potentially been involved in a collision if one had occurred. My dash showed no warning lights. After lots of research and consultation with a private owned mechanic shop, I learned the 2019 F150 has a sever and known transmission issue with the learning tables and the transmission control module resulting in failure. Further research reveled a law suit against ford ([XXX] v. Ford Motor Company (Case No. [XXX] in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, targets Ford over alleged defects in the 10R80 10-speed automatic transmissions equipped in 2017–2020 Ford F-150 trucks) regarding this exact issue I was having with my truck, with only 72,000 miles on it! Bob Bell Ford in Glen Burnie Maryland, was less than helpful and the staff was rude when I was explaining what was happening and the information I learned, and quoted me a price of around $12,000.00 to replace the transmission, and that they knew there was a problem with that transmission. I had the vehicle repaired by Glen Burnie Transmission in Glen Burnie Maryland for $8,200.00. That shop told me that they replace several of these transmissions a month (confirming it is a sever issue) and the service tech could tell me what the 8th digit in my vin was based on the symptoms, and he was spot on! I was told the CDF drum and bushings failing—that cause harsh, erratic shifting, sudden lunging, jerking, hesitation, and gear slipping This repair costed me $8200.00 to replace, and another $450 to Bob Bell Ford for them to repeat to me what I already told them.
