The wiring for the air bag system under the driver's seat is exposed and unprotected which has led to disconnection and or damage to the wiring harness which then results in a disabled air bag system. This is a manufacturer design flaw and a serious safety issue. Other owners who have experienced damage to their wiring harness here have had disabled air bag systems for prolonged periods and costly
... repairs that Hyundai had refused to cover under warranty despite the fact that it is an obvious design flaw and a serious safety issue. See attached photos for evidence of how exposed this wiring harness is and suscebtible to damage as well as an example of damage which can occur which other owners have reported. Damage to this unit due to poor design results in compromised driver and passenger safety and extremely costly repairs ($10,000) which it appears Hyundai is refusing to cover under warranty. We request that this be recalled in order replace the design so this wiring harness is protected properly.Read more

On [XXX], while driving my 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L on the [XXX] , at approximately 65 mph, a ring (like a washer) detached from the brake pedal. This caused the vehicle to suddenly lose braking capability. Right after I attempted to brake the vehicle on the highway, the ABS light, brake assistance light, braking distance automatic light, and traction control lights all illuminated on the dashbo
... ard, and the vehicle required immediate assistance. The brake pedal did not respond normally to pressure. I had to downshift rapidly to slow down and exit the freeway safely. Once in a safer area, I was finally able to stop the vehicle by applying a lot of pressure to the pedal. This dangerous failure put myself and other drivers at serious risk of an accident. Due to the severity of the issue, I immediately called a tow truck and had the vehicle taken to the authorized Jeep dealership in Tustin for repairs. I had previously experienced another major repair (rear axle joint binding) that took approximately 64 days when the vehicle had around 30,000 miles. The current incident occurred at approximately 52,000 miles. I reported this safety issue to Jeep Customer Service and received Reference Number [XXX]. This is a serious safety defect involving the brake system that could have caused a crash on the highway. I am filing this complaint regarding an unresolved safety recall (Recall 78C) on my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, which has now been open for approximately 139 days without a remedy. This recall involves engine manufacturing contamination that may lead to catastrophic engine failure, loss of propulsion, and potential fire risk. Despite the seriousness of the recall, Stellantis has failed to provid
... e a remedy and has given conflicting and unclear guidance regarding safe operation. At one point, I was instructed to operate the vehicle using the gasoline engine only. I was later told Stellantis cannot provide technical guidance and to contact the dealership. The dealership has stated they have no clear direction from Stellantis. As a result, I have no clear understanding of whether it is safe to operate the vehicle, use electric mode, or rely solely on the gasoline engine. Restricting use to the gasoline engine also prevents use of the plug-in hybrid system, meaning the vehicle cannot be used for its intended purpose, resulting in increased fuel costs over several months. I have also incurred out-of-pocket rental car expenses during recall service. Stellantis indicated reimbursement would be available but has not provided a process or responded to follow-ups. Given the nature of the recall and lack of guidance, I cannot determine if this vehicle is safe to transport my newborn child. At this point, I am concerned with both the unresolved defect and the manufacturer’s failure to provide consistent safety direction, communication, or a path toward resolution.Read more

In Feb. 2026, I had a software recall service performed on my Honda Accord. Later that same day, a persistent error message appeared on my dash: Software Update Not Available See Dealer. I contacted the dealer and they said sometimes that error message clears on its own and to wait and see. A few days later as I was leaving work, I turned my car on, put it in reverse and realized I had no propulsi

They were not able to reproduce the issue I reported with my car being on but without power. I picked up the car on 3/16/26. After leaving the dealership, it began sputtering and lurching. I could see on the powertrain display that the car was not communicating well between the engine and hybrid battery. I pulled into a parking lot and put the car in park and it began functioning normally. I called the dealer and they said to bring it back if that happened again. It has not. Tonight, I was pulling up to a red light when my car suddenly slammed on the brakes and displayed Lane Departure Mitigation Off. I attempted to restore that safety feature and realized my car had lost power. It did restore power and I was able to drive home, but I am terrified of my car since it engaged the braking system for no reason and disabled a safety feature plus losing power. During my car's time in the service department, it got a new CAN gateway module and telematics unit along with repeated attempts to make the software update glitch free to eliminate the persistent warning messages that had been displaying. Honda tech support was involved, and I have contacted Honda corporate with my concerns about the safety of my car but am waiting for a response. My perspective is the software recall update ruined my perfectly good car and I am worried I am going to lose power and get injured or worse.Read more

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally escalate an unresolved safety issue involving my 2017 Hyundai Tucson (VIN: [XXX] ) that has now been ongoing for over two years. I have made repeated attempts to complete a safety recall repair through multiple authorized Hyundai dealerships, including Hyundai of [XXX] and Hyundai in [XXX] . Despite scheduling several appointments, I have consisten
... tly been turned away, had appointments effectively canceled, or been told that no one is available to perform the repair. This has occurred across more than one location and over an extended period of time. This is unacceptable. A federally mandated safety recall especially one involving the engine is not optional and must be completed within a reasonable timeframe. The continued failure to complete this repair places me at risk and reflects a serious breakdown in both dealership accountability and corporate oversight. Additionally, my vehicle has experienced significant paint chipping. While I understand this may not be a safety recall issue, it has affected the overall condition and value of my vehicle. Given the prolonged delay and inconvenience I have experienced, I am requesting that this concern also be reviewed for potential goodwill repair or coverage. At this point, I am requesting immediate action: Assignment of a case manager A confirmed and honored appointment date for recall repair at a dealership that is able to complete the work Written confirmation that the repair will be completed without further delay Information regarding a loaner vehicle or transportation if the repair requires extended time Please note that I am filing a formal complaint with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office due to the repeated failure to complete a federally required safety recall. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will pursue additional consumer protection and legal remedies. The transmission valve body was trying to lock up while driving and making it shimmy and shift hard. I took it to Davis GMC in [XXX] . They diagnosed it with the transmission malfunction (this is the same transmission that is under recall in the 2020 models)j. I paid $8660.33 to have them replace the transmission. It has been approximately 6 months and 6.000 miles and now this transmission is shut

I then took it to TriLakes Motor in [XXX] where they made an adjustment on it. That has not fixed the problem. Today I contacted the main GMC center and started a case number: XXX. They suggessted taking it back to a dealership again and trying to get it fixed again. I feel like I am stuck with a truck that can not be fixed and should be in the recall due to it having the same transmission as the other GMC Sierra's that are under recall. My 2023 Tesla Model X began experiencing safety-related failures immediately after a Tesla software update. Right after the update, the vehicle’s cameras stopped functioning correctly and GPS/navigation also stopped working properly. Since that point, subsequent Tesla software updates have failed to install successfully. Tesla diagnosed the issue as requiring replacement of the HW4 computer at m
... y expense for approximately $4,500 because the vehicle is just outside warranty. I believe this may be a safety defect or a software-induced hardware failure because the malfunction began immediately after Tesla’s software update and affects safety-relevant vehicle functions, including camera-related visibility systems and vehicle localization. My VIN does not show an open recall, but this vehicle previously received completed Tesla software recall remedies related to camera/HW4 issues. I am filing this complaint because Tesla should investigate whether this failure is related to a broader HW4 defect pattern, software update defect, or inadequate recall scope. I am requesting investigation of failures involving camera function, GPS malfunction, and repeated software update failure after an over-the-air Tesla update.Read more

I have had numerous safety warning messages display upon startup and also while driving. The messages are usually combined with a cold ambient temperature and do not display during warm temperatures. FCA indicated that NHTSA-25V882 was not applicable to my VIN despite my VIN production date in April '25; within your suspect period. The next scheduled visit to FCA is to replace a telematics module for possible link to issue with the Uconnect5 system. This safety issue was first noted before 800 miles and continues through 2768 miles thus far. As this issue pertains directly to a vital Air Bag sensor issue and the inability to call for a SOS assistance, I expect the NHTSA to raise this concern with FCA USA and to determine the cause of this safety defect and issue a new Recall Notification for repair and/or replacement of affected parts.Read more

I am reporting a serious and unresolved safety defect involving a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer Series II 4x4 (VIN: [XXX] ) with approximately 34,000 miles. The vehicle was in the dealership for over three weeks between January and February 2026, at which time a repair was confirmed before the most recent occurrence. Despite ongoing repairs, the issue has not been resolved and no permanent repair path has been identified. The vehicle is currently back at the dealership with no confirmed resolution. The most recent incident occurred on 3/18 when the vehicle shifted into park while in motion, requiring a restart in the roadway. Shortly after arriving at my destination, the battery died and the vehicle became inoperable and required towing. The FSD system in my Model Y is hazardous. When I first purchased the car on 2/9/2026, they secretly loaded it with very outdated software, as follows: “Software” 2025.44.300 Full Self-Driving v13.2.9 I’ve already driven this car 9960 miles, about 85% of which was on FSD. I drove 2.5 hours north to a Marine brother's father's funeral, who unexpectedly passed. I started my drive home and made it to Yorktown in about 15 minutes, and the engine light came on, started flashing, and went into limp mode. I pulled over on I-69 to shut it off, pulled the dipstick, and the oil level was full. I pushed the Bluelink button on my rearview mirror, and HMA sent a tow truck to to
... w the vehicle to a local dealership about 10-12 minutes away. The dealership did not inspect the vehicle until the following Monday, since it was Friday, three weeks ago. The dealership found DTC codes for misfires in cylinders 1 and 2, multiple-cylinder misfire, and too-high pressure in all four cylinders. The vehicle has had the knock sensor replaced, a KSDS ECM update, and a series of gaskets replaced. It has been burning oil since 69,362 miles and is now not operational, 2.5 hours from home. HMA has declined to replace the engine on a vehicle involved in a class action settlement due to problems with several completed replacements. The dealership has followed the manufacturer's process, and, due to the engine not producing a code it had at 87,986, but now not capable due to piston damage, cylinder scouring, and spark plug damage, the manufacturer has declined a goodwill replacement. The engine failure did put others in harm's way, as it did me when having to pull off the busy interstate to inspect the obvious failure. I have been driving a rental since this situation occurred, have a vehicle that is not operational, and a manufacturer that is not assuming responsibility for the catastrophic failure. I have read numerous forums across several platforms about the Theta 2 engines. The vehicle has been serviced as needed, including multiple requests to fix or repair the engine noises it produced, when the oil level became low, and oil had to be added.Read more

In January of 2026, when driving under normal conditions, the 2022 Acura MDX made a loud clunking noise and power was temporarily disrupted. The vehicle had to be stopped on the side of the road as the clunking noise persisted. This occurred on a major highway and put the driver and passengers at risk as we had to quickly get to the shoulder. After inspecting the vehicle for any visible signs o
... f damage we continued home without issues. Now, March of 2026, we took the car for routine service and was contacted by the dealership and informed the transfer case and transmission needed to be replaced. The dealership indicating they were in contact with Honda USA to see what they could do for us. A quick search of the Internet revealed NHTSA DP26001, so we now know this issue has occurred on many Acura MDX's of the same year. No warning lamps illuminated. We were unaware that the vehicle was running in 2erWD instead of 4WD. There were no warnings leading up to the event.Read more

Ford has a recall on the low pressure fuel pump but no fix yet. My fuel pump failed and I am being charged to fix it. But that also puts me back on the road with an unsafe vehicle. They will not provide me a rental until the recall has a solution or fix.

I took it to an outside independent shop and they verified it instantly and wrote a very detailed invoice about the problem. They couldnt pin point where it was coming from though. The vehicle has only been inspected by the 3 Kia Dealerships and the independant shop Brake Busters I purchased the car in November of 2025 and had no problems until February 22nd 2026.
