I feel that this is a huge safety issue as I have 3 grandchildren that I watch everyday and have to have 2 of them in the 3rd row and 1 in the middle section, I love this vehicle but know I am afraid to drive it when I have them. This should be fixed immediately. Every day that there is not a fix is a day that I am putting my grand children's life in danger

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The engine, battery and alternator seem to be failing or not working together. Car will sit in garage for less than 12 hours and will not start the next morning. Take the battery and alternator to get tested and everything passes. Have had the battery tested at multiple times but believe this is due
... to engine recall. Check engine light comes on, we take it to the GMC dealer and they say they can't determine the issue or why it is happening. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Car will not start or check engine light comes on in middle of trip. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Service center can't "reproduce" any of the issues and are telling us they have no way of checking why the light comes on in software module. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Yes Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes, check engine light comes on and then goes away.Read more

Post fix EDR cooler failure causing coolant fluid loss " enough complaints =pressure on Audi Reference EA189 emissions fix Subject: Goodwill Assistance Request – 2014 Q5 TDI EGR Cooler – VIN [XXX] Audi Customer Experience Team, I am writing to request goodwill assistance for my 2014 Audi Q5 TDI, VIN [XXX] , with 105,000 miles. Vehicle Issue The car is losing engine coolant with no exter
... nal leaks. Symptoms are consistent with a failed EGR cooler: low coolant warnings every few weeks, white smoke on cold starts, and no puddles or visible leaks. This is a documented failure mode on the 3.0L TDI V6 engine, especially after the emissions modification. Warranty Background - Original in-service date: [XXX] - Emissions modification completed: 2018 - Current mileage: 105,000 I understand the EGR cooler is a covered component under the TDI Extended Emissions Warranty as an emissions-related part. While the 10-year time provision from the in-service date expired [XXX], I am well under the 120,000-mile limit. The 4 years/48k miles from the 2018 modification also places the failure directly within the spirit of the extended coverage. Basis for Goodwill Request The EPA-approved emissions modification increased EGR duty cycles and thermal stress on the cooler. This failure is a direct consequence of that modification. Repair quotes from Audi dealers are $1,200-$2,000 due to the labor involved to access the cooler in the V of the engine. The vehicle has been maintained with VW 507.00 specification oil and has no aftermarket modifications. I intend to keep the vehicle long-term if repaired. Request I respectfully request Audi cover the diagnosis and replacement of the EGR cooler under goodwill. I am happy to have the work performed at an authorized Audi dealer in Houston. I appreciate your consideration and can provide service records or additional photos if needed. I can be reached at [XXX] or this email. The contact owns a 2021 GMC Yukon XL. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 MPH, the vehicle decelerated unintentionally and failed to accelerate above 35 MPH. The vehicle failed to respond when the accelerator pedal was depressed. The contact arrived at the residence and was able to coast into the driveway; however, the vehicle failed to drive forward or reverse. The check engine
... warning light was illuminated at the time of the failure, with the message “Reduce Acceleration - Drive with Care” displayed. The contact waited for a while and then attempted to move the vehicle, and the vehicle drove forward slowly, and while attempting to reverse(R), the engine revved abnormally but failed to respond. The gear shifter was shifted to drive, but the vehicle failed to respond, and the engine continued to rev until depressing the brake pedal. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, and the contact was informed that the valve body needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired because the part was on back order. The contact researched and associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V797000 (Power Train). The manufacturer was informed of the failure, and it was confirmed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V797000 (Power Train), and it opened a case. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.Read more

Incident Description: I purchased a 2016 Hyundai Veloster (VIN: KMHTC6ADXGU255844) in May 2025. Shortly after purchase, the vehicle began exhibiting serious mechanical issues, including engine knocking, excessive oil consumption, stalling, misfiring, and loss of power. Despite these ongoing issues, the vehicle is listed as having Recall 198 completed. However, the symptoms associated with that rec
... all continued and progressively worsened. The vehicle ultimately stalled in traffic while I was making a turn, resulting in an accident. In a separate incident, after exiting the vehicle and believing it to be in PARK, the vehicle moved unexpectedly and ran over me, causing serious physical injuries including fractures. Prior to these incidents, the vehicle had ongoing mechanical issues that were not properly resolved. The vehicle also required repeated jump-starts and became unreliable to operate. Additionally, there are discrepancies in the service records. The vehicle was towed to a dealership on or about June 8, 2025 and remained there until approximately July 15, 2025. However, the documentation provided reflects only a limited number of service days and consolidates multiple visits into a single summary. Due to these inconsistencies and the continued presence of failure symptoms, I am unable to verify that recall-related repairs were properly performed. These incidents raise serious concerns about engine failure and possible unintended vehicle movement, both of which present significant safety risks.Read more

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The Powertrain/Engine Control System. The vehicle suffers from a total loss of motive power while driving in traffic. It is available for inspection. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The vehicle unexpectedly enters "Limp Mode" while driving at various speeds in active traffic.
... When this happens, the accelerator pedal becomes completely unresponsive, forcing the vehicle to a crawl or a dead stop regardless of the flow of traffic around it. This creates a life-threatening risk of rear-end collisions and high-speed accidents, as the car cannot maintain speed or move to safety. I am forced to operate a vehicle that effectively "shuts down" while I am in the middle of the road. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. Multiple independent mechanics have confirmed the stalling and electrical instability. Despite replacing the crankshaft sensor and both batteries, the sudden loss of power in traffic persists. Shops have stated the issue is a manufacturer-level failure they cannot fix. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? It has been inspected by independent service centers. The manufacturer has not inspected it yet, as it is extremely hard to duplicate unless it is driven for a certain time at certain temperatures. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? The failure is temperature-dependent, occurring almost exclusively when ambient temperatures reach 71°F or higher. When the failure happens, the dashboard displays flashes the drive sign(limp mode). There are no other lights or anything triggered to display what the issue is related to. These symptoms began roughly one year ago, and has returned daily now that it is getting hot again.Read more

My brand new two week old 2026 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS Issue: Auto Start/Stop system failure, the engine shuts off and does not restart Description:
While stopped at traffic lights with the auto start/stop feature engaged, the engine shuts off as designed. However, when I release the brake pedal, the engine does not restart as it should. Instead, the vehicle displays a message stating “pre
... ss brake to start,” and the vehicle behaves as if it has been completely turned off. This leaves the vehicle temporarily disabled in traffic and unable to move immediately when the light changes. I must press the brake and manually restart the vehicle, causing a delay and creating a safety concern, especially in intersections. This issue has occurred multiple times and appears to be related to a malfunction in the auto start/stop system. The failure to automatically restart the engine creates a risk of being stranded in active traffic and increases the likelihood of a collision. No warning lights or prior indications are given before the failure occurs. Concern:
This is a safety issue for me and my family because the vehicle does not respond as expected when attempting to accelerate from a stop and leaves me stuck in traffic unexpectedly. It is now in the shop for the second time, as I was able to record this continuous malfunction of my brand new 2026 Chevrolet Trailblazer. I get anxiety everytime I drive it. I feel I’m going to be rear ending or be involved in some type of crash. The vehicle is currently not safe to drive currently at the dealership for a second time. I had it towed each time, as I feared for my life and safety. Dealership could not duplicate issue. They asked me to record it and I was able to.Read more

I am submitting a safety complaint regarding a serious incident involving my 2025 Kia EV9. The vehicle was serviced on March 1 at World Kia in Joliet, Illinois. On April 4, only four days after that service, the vehicle experienced a sudden and unexpected ICCU failure while I was driving. During my normal travel, in active traffic and at speed, the vehicle abruptly entered limp mode and displayed
... multiple system warnings. This caused an immediate and significant reduction in power, creating a hazardous situation for myself and surrounding drivers. I was forced to maneuver the vehicle out of traffic while it was rapidly losing propulsion capability. The vehicle is currently at Berwyn Kia in Berwyn, Illinois for diagnosis and repair. I am reporting this incident due to the clear safety implications of a sudden loss of power during highway driving operation. A failure of this nature poses a risk of collision, especially in high‑speed or congested traffic conditions. I am requesting that NHTSA review this issue as part of its ongoing monitoring of Kia/Hyundai/Genesis Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) failures and related safety concerns. Thank you for your attention to this matter.Read more

I own a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado with approximately 84,000 miles. Prior to the engine failure, I noticed abnormal engine ticking noise, especially during cold starts. I reported this concern to the dealership during a service visit. The technician verified the engine noise but stated that the noise was normal and no repairs were performed. Over time the condition worsened and the vehicle began exp
... eriencing engine misfires and internal engine damage. Diagnostic inspection later revealed oil contamination and cylinder wall scoring requiring full engine replacement. Additionally, while driving on a public street, the serpentine belt suddenly came off the engine without warning. This created an immediate safety concern because the belt powers critical systems such as power steering and engine cooling. Losing these systems while driving could cause loss of vehicle control. At the time of the incident, my children were in the vehicle and there were pedestrians and other drivers on the road. The sudden mechanical failure created a dangerous situation that could have resulted in a crash or injury. No warning lights or messages appeared on the dashboard prior to the engine failure, and the check engine light never illuminated. Because the engine concern had previously been reported and dismissed as normal, the problem continued to worsen until catastrophic engine damage occurred. I am submitting this complaint because I am concerned that this may not be an isolated issue and that similar engine failures could pose a safety risk to other drivers.Read more

On multiple occasions while driving in rain/snow/ice, the vehicle will initially throw an "i-ACTIVESENSE Partially Disabled Due to Camera Malfunction" error. This initially disables adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, blind spot detection, etc. This error immediately then cascades to throw a "Dynamic Stability Control Malfunction" error as well as an "ABS Malfunction" error, suggesting that bot
... h dynamic stability control and ABS are disabled. This issue has occurred roughly 50% of the time it rains/snows, and usually persists for 1-2 days even after fully clearing the windshield where the front camera system is located. This has caused me to have to drive the vehicle several times now in the rain and snow without ABS and dynamic stability control active -- this is a serious safety issue. It is understandable for a front camera malfunction to disable sensing features (like lane keeping), but this should not disable necessary safety features such as ABS and stability control. It is clear that there is a cascading sensor malfunction in this vehicle (possibly related to an earlier similar recall in 2024 models), that causes serious safety concerns.Read more

In 2023 antifreeze was found in the engine cylinder chambers causing the engine to run rough. We purchased the repair/replacement of a new head gasket at a cost of $3500.00. Now, it is Apirl 2026 and we have developed the same issue plus internal oil leaking in the turbo. Our repair shop says we need to replace the engine and the turbo unit at approx cost $11,200.00 (parts and labor). We
... have come to learn that this Ford 2.0L 4cyn EcoBoost engine has been found to have a design defect causing regular head gasket failure. So, this is our complaint about this engine and product built by Ford Motor Company. We have come to realize we own a very unreliable vehicle built by Ford.Read more

Power tailgate opens and closes by itself. Safety of others is at risk if materials fall out on the road while driving if the tailgate opens by itself. There has been a recall for this but my truck vin is not included yet had the same issue. No warning when tailgate started having issues.

Noticed symptoms about a week before I had it towed to a garage for what I thought was a timing chain tensioner, Tech scoped it and found out it was much worse.
