Twice while making left turns from a stop into faster cross traffic, the accelerator was pressed but the vehicle barely moved (coasting) for roughly 2 - 3 seconds, then suddenly accelerated normally, creating a near-collision risk as cross traffic quickly approached. No warning lights were observed on the dash.

The issue is the steering colomn. There is a bolt that comes loose when driving on "irregular roads". my safety was at risk because if this bolt decided to come out i would not have control of the vehicle. I was told that the steering wheel would disconnect from the steering colomn or the steering wheel would completly detatch. The problem was confirmed and inspected by the Mazda dealership. No wa

The vehicle is experiencing premature transmission failure, since about 9,000 miles. Mazda has been dropping the ball at replacing it under warranty and we found out there are 3 other CX-30s that I know of with similar issues. I believe Mazda has a faulty transmission in these cars based off my findings and other complaints.

1. January 2025 Diagnosis (Inside Powertrain Warranty): I presented the vehicle (2019 Mazda CX5, 36K miles) with severe transmission jerking and shift lurching at a local Mazda dealership. Technicians diagnosed teh issue as described in TSB 05-004/23 and applied a software flash to the PCM/TCM stated in TSB 05-004/23. Mazda’s oicial text states the root cause of this symptom is torque fluct
... uation and torsional resonance within the torque converter. 2. Current Symptom (Defect Manifestation): The vehicle now exhibits the distinct upshift chirp detailed in TSB 05-005/23 (NHTSA ID MC-10246127-0001). Mazda’s documentation states the root cause of this chirp is excessive wear of the lock-up clutch inside the torque converter, which sheds iron powder directly into the automatic transmission fluid (ATF). The torque converter is a single, closed mechanical component. In January 2025, while the vehicle was fully covered under the 5-Year/60,000-Mile Powertrain Warranty, the torque converter's internal clutch was already undergoing accelerated physical degradation. Instead of proper mechanical diagnostics, the service department applied an electronic software patch. This patch merely altered the lock-up engagement timing to mask the torsional resonance rather than fixing the failing hardware. Applying a temporary software patch that delays a catastrophic component failure past a calendar date does not absolve Mazda dealership or Mazda Corporate of liability for a pre-existing, documented torque converter manufacturing defect which affect the entire power train of the vehicle. There are numerous complaints about this and subsequent failing transmission and expensive repairs reported so many online forums (reddit, facebook) again indicating this is a wide spread issue affecting consumer safety eventually leading to expensive out of pocket transmission repair. Mazda corporate need to be liable for this serious manufacturing defect on their transmission system.Read more

[XXX] CT60 A/S 275/45 R21 I've had issues with two tires, so far. My front drivers tire blew out driving at slow speed. I replaced it at the Mazda dealership. Few months later, the front passenger tire was going low. I had a maintenance appt., so I asked the dealership to air the tire. I can't say if they didn't; however, I had to add air down the street from the dealership. Two days later the tir

Come to find out the tire had wires exposed ALL THE WAY AROUND! Mazda let me leave their lot on Labor Day weekend with steel wires coming out of the tire...mind blowing! Now I'm reading that these tires are not capable of handling the weight of the 2024 Mazda CX-90. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

Component failure: potential thermal (heat-related) breakdown of the EPS control module, steering rack electronics, or associated wiring harness. Description: After approximately two hours of continuous highway driving, a critical Red Steering Wheel Warning Light illuminates intermittently in the center dashboard. This indicates a severe system fault and imminent threat of total loss of power s
... teering assist while operating at highway speeds presenting an extreme safety hazard. The vehicle is under the bumper-to-bumper warranty and was brought to authorized Mazda service for the warranty repair. The dealership refused to perform a deep electronic diagnostic of the EPS module. The service manager released the vehicle back to me, claiming the issue cannot be duplicated unless it is driven for two hours and no active codes are showing. He is claiming this is a lane assist issue and the vehicle is safe. This is not a lane assist issue as it was occurring for the complete two hour trip and not on a specific road area that the lane assist could not detect. By refusing to escalate a critical steering failure to manufacturer engineers, the dealership has forced me to continue driving a potentially unsafe vehicle with a known steering defect in order to “prove” the malfunction occurs.Read more

... t Mazda has a well-documented manufacturing defect that is outlined in Mazda TSB 05-005/23. My car has a 60,000 mile/5 year warranty on it. It currently only has 48,600 miles on it (well under the warranty limit). I called the Mazda Corporation Customer Care and they opened a ticket but I was told today that they will not extend any assistance with this, even though it is below the warranty limit on mileage and with them knowing about this issue and publishing a bulletin about it. I asked about the Good Will extension and the Customer Service Case Manager told me it didn't qualify. Even with it being under the warranty mileage, because it's over the year limit, they won't cover it. I asked what the criteria was to qualify for the Good Will extension and he told me it was "confidential" and there is nothing they can do about it.Read more

On 09/01/2026 at approximately 55 mph, I was driving with adaptive cruise control engaged. The vehicle ahead decelerated abruptly. My vehicle began braking hard with no input from me for a fraction of a second. A red BRAKE warning appeared in the instrument cluster with an audible alarm. I then applied the brake pedal hard. On first contact the pedal barely moved from its rest position and was ex
... tremely firm. About a second into my application, while still traveling at over 25 mph, pedal resistance dropped sharply and pedal travel increased substantially. I had to push the pedal several inches farther to get back to comparable deceleration. The pedal did not pulse or vibrate. I came to a matching speed roughly one car length from the vehicle ahead, and only because I kept braking hard. I did not see an MRCC Cancelled message, though the BRAKE warning occupies the same part of the display, so I cannot say whether the initial deceleration came from Mazda Radar Cruise Control or Smart Brake Support. No brake, ABS, or DSC warning lamp illuminated before, during, or after the event, and none has since. There were no symptoms beforehand, and the brakes have worked normally since. Failed component: unknown. I cannot determine whether the change in pedal feel came from the brake booster, the DSC hydraulic control unit, the master cylinder, or the driver assistance system handing brake control back to me. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone and no service center has reproduced the issue. The vehicle is available for inspection if needed. If a driver assistance system is commanding brake pressure and withdraws it during the driver intervention, total deceleration can drop at the moment when the driver still wants to stop aggressively to avoid a crash. Suddenly, the driver has to find the extra pedal travel while still closing on the obstacle. I slowed to a safe speed in time. With less room, or less attentiveness, I may not have been able to.Read more

The factory adhesive/anti-flutter sealant that bonds the outer hood skin to the inner structural frame has physically separated. There is a clear gap where the outer panel is no longer attached to the frame. As a result, the outer hood skin flexes and vibrates, especially at highway speeds. Impact / Safety Concern: The vibration and movement of the outer hood panel occurs directly in the driver’
... s forward line of sight. This creates a visible distraction while driving and can draw attention away from the road. Because the outer skin is no longer properly bonded to the structure, the condition is progressive and may worsen over time. Dealer Response: I documented the adhesive separation on the work order. The service advisor lowered the hood insulation and photographed the panel separation. Despite clear visual evidence, the technician closed the concern as “no issue with the hood insulation” and “no fault found.” The same separation was also observed on another CX-50 at the dealership. I am filing this report so the condition can be properly documented while the vehicle remains under warranty.Read more

What is happening with my car are the exact symptoms of the known Mazda Recall 6824H - where the Smart Brake Support suddenly engages for no reason and when it does not need to - which has almost caused me to be rear-ended a few times. This has happened at least 7-8 times since I have owned the vehicle. Apparently, my VIN does not fall under the cars that Mazda reports for the Recall, but nonethel

The Recall also states: "Due to an improper program setting, affected FSC (cameras) were not updated from production mode to normal mode. As a result, all three systems described (HBC, SBS, LAS) will not work as intended." My cameras are definitely not working as they should. I have had it in for service, and the technicians have not done anything at all. The Recall should definitely be expanded to owners experiencing these issues. As I have stated above, this incident has occurred at least 7-8 times, so I'll just enter in the most recent time that it happened in the Additional Details below since I cannot enter all of them.

After vehicle has been parked for awhile, for example over night, there is a Popping sound or Clunking from front of vehicle after moving vehicle and applying brakes at first stop. Noise has been there since 2024. Popping, Clunking sound only when when vehicle parked again. There is also a loud Clunking sound sometimes, sounds like it is from the right front suspension, when driving on irregular,

Have complained to the dealer numerous times. Was told that they could not duplicate the problem, even when vehicle was left there for about a week. Right front lower control arm was replaced on last visit, but noise is still there.Read more

Have had 3 seats replaced under warranty by Graco and was told to make a report with you. The rigid latch anchors on two have been faulty after 2 months. The second one got stuck in the installed base and pulling the release button did nothing. The rigid latch on the first got stuck in the open position. Within 100 days of purchasing the CX70 new ,we noticed that the collision avoidance system was malfunctioning . It would alert when no car was near us . It did not alert every time a car was actually in our right blind spot or moving through our right blind spot . The malfunctions were random and happened in a variation of conditions and driving situations . We began to mistrust the system and con
... tinually disregarded many of its alerts . The old boy who cried Wolf sinerio. We took the car into a Mazda dealer in [XXX] ,FINDLAY MAZDA they told us that the system is malfunctioning but the software fix is not yet available from the manufacturer Mazda. We were told to wait for contact from Mazda to get the update . About two moths later we backed into a mailbox at slow speed and received no alert . This collision caused $600 damage to the right tail light . This incident prompted me to call Mazda customer experience to get our software update expedited. They resisted and continued with the unavailable narrative .I insisted and demanded a fix as this was a safety feature that is now an unsafe condition and also it is a very expensive feature on this car that we paid for and have not had the use of for several month to that point . A service appointment was arranged at Alan Webb Mazda in [XXX] . By the time of the appointment there were two other service recalls that needed to be accomplished on the vehicle so I approved that works also but the repair of the collision avoidance system was my primary concern and also Mazda had agreed to replace the tail light if in fact the system had malfunctioned . The next day the vehicle was ready for pickup (July30, 2026). When the vehicle was picked up at the service dept. I was told that there were no problems with the collision avoidance system . As of Aug 1,2026 the system is still malfunctioning in the same way as the two previous complaints . I believe they are hiding the truth about vehicle safety features.
