Yesterday, while driving home on a surface street, I experienced a sudden loss of drive power, multiple dashboard warning lights, and violent shaking throughout the vehicle, creating a significant safety hazard for both me and surrounding motorists. It is fortunate that this did not occur at highway speeds. The shaking was so intense that the head-up display on the windshield was visibly vibrating
... , and when I arrived home ( driving the one mile at less than 35 mph as indicated on the dash), I discovered that one of the rear seats had folded itself down. The other likely remained upright only because a child booster seat was installed there (fortunately unoccupied). The vehicle currently has 161 miles on the odometer, including pre-delivery mileage and is undrivable.Read more

My 2023 Lucid Air Touring experienced a rearview camera/display failure while reversing, resulting in a backing collision and rear bumper damage. The main display/rearview image went blank or became unavailable during an active reverse maneuver, and the vehicle did not provide effective visual guidance or rear safety alerts before impact. This failure is consistent with NHTSA Recall 26V017 / Luci
... d SR-26-01-0, which concerns the rearview camera image not displaying when the vehicle is shifted into reverse, increasing the risk of a crash. Lucid denied responsibility but has not provided the underlying data, logs, timestamps, diagnostic records, software version history, OTA update records, or methodology supporting its conclusion. Lucid initially stated that the vehicle was not being operated during the reported time window, which I disputed because the vehicle was actively reversing when the display failure occurred. Lucid later acknowledged that a collision occurred but claimed no system errors were detected and that the recall update had allegedly been installed before the incident. If true, that creates an additional concern that the recall remedy may have been ineffective, incomplete, or insufficient. The absence of a recorded fault code does not prove that the rearview camera/display system functioned properly. I request that NHTSA investigate this as a potential rear visibility safety defect, FMVSS 111 issue, recall remedy failure, and inadequate manufacturer investigation. Lucid should be required to preserve and review all telemetry, event data, diagnostic logs, software records, OTA update records, camera/display/ACU logs, service history, and internal engineering analysis related to this incident.Read more

On February 6, 2026, my wife was operating our 2026 Lucid Gravity when she shifted into reverse. The rearview/backup camera failed to activate on the center display. Simultaneously, the electronic gear selector became unresponsive and would not change gears. The combined failure resulted in a near-collision; no impact or injuries occurred. Both affected systems remain in the vehicle and are availa
... ble for inspection upon request. The rearview camera is federally required equipment under FMVSS No. 111. Its failure to display when reverse was selected, combined with an unresponsive gear selector, left the driver with neither rear visibility nor the ability to shift out of gear to avoid a hazard. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or service center. The defect was reported to Lucid Motors by email on February 9, 2026. As of this filing, Lucid has not scheduled a diagnostic appointment for this failure, and no technician has inspected the camera or gear selector. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance, or any other party in connection with this incident. Prior to the February 6 failure, the vehicle displayed persistent warnings since delivery, including a non-dismissible dashboard warning symbol and error messages for the surround view camera, rear steering, high beam assist, and headlights. These were first observed within days of delivery on December 16, 2025, and formally reported to Lucid on January 7, 2026. Whether these warnings were directly related to the backup camera or gear selector failure is UNKNOWN; my best assessment is that the surround view camera error and dashboard warning may have been early indicators of a broader camera or software fault, though this has not been diagnosed by the manufacturer.Read more

We were almost rear ended, but we were able to move to the side and take the backroads to the house as we were 1 mile away. The car refused to drive after the 5 minute count down, and a tow company took the car to the Lucid dealership. Since 5/15/2026, the car has been at the same spot in the dealership, as they also have not been able to turn it on. They're also unable to look at it, due to a large amount of issues they have with other cars and lack of staff. The car is undriveable, has safety issues, and almost caused an accident with 7 passengers in the car. I would like Lucid to buy back the car, pay me back my down payment, and reimburse my last month of payment as I haven't been able to drive the car. This is an intermittent issue that has been happening for a while now and the car was sent to the dealership twice but the issue still persists. The engine would shuts down or partially loses torque all of a sudden and the steering becomes very stiff. At the same time you would see all kinds of alarms, error messages, and check lights on the dashboard. I would then have to pull over to the side
... of the road, turn off the car, then try to start it back up. Usually after several attempts (one time that took nearly 30 minutes), the car works properly again with no error messages but sometimes I'd still have some persistent check lights on the dashboard. Error messages and check lights that I see include the following: -Service Electronic Stability Control -Autopark Engaged -Shifter Autocorrect Active -Park Brake Temporarily Unavailable -AWD System Temporarily Unavailable -Automatic Emergency Braking off check light -Forward Collision Warning off check light -Check Engine light The dealership has been unable to properly diagnose and fix this issue so far. On the first visit, they replaced the main battery, auxiliary battery, some wire harnesses that I was told had some corrosion, and the adaptive cruise control module. On the second visit, they replaced the CAN Bus star connector. The same issue still persists after replacing all above components.Read more

The dealer informed me that the odometer had been rolled back prior to the auction from which they acquired the vehicle; at the time of sale, it displayed 81,000 miles but had actually accrued 268,000 miles. Despite signing the CARFAX indicating a “potential odometer rollback,” I was misled regarding the vehicle’s actual mileage. This significant discrepancy has caused financial distress and I believe it breaches legal statutes regarding odometer accuracy. Given the dealership’s dishonesty and the impact on my financing arrangements, I am seeking a full refund for the vehicle. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your guidance on how to proceed. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

I have a 2020 Jeep Gladiator. My instrument panel cluster was blinking for a few weeks. Now there is no light at all. One can not see the milage, gas, speed, etc. There was a current recall that came out September 2024, however mine was not included. This poses a safety issue as one can not see mileage (oil changes), gas remaining or any other significant messages (air bag, coolant information, br

My 2021 Tesla Model Y experienced a sudden loss of steering assist, resulting in an extremely heavy steering and loss of steering ability, at highway speed. I needed extreme efforts to push the steering wheel to go off highway to avoid accident. This happened on 6/14/2025 around 3PM. Tesla service diagnosed "internal electrical/mechanical steering rack failure", but no recall was issued for my VI

The rear brake rotors on the vehicle are pitted, as confirmed by a local repair shop. The "incident" is ongoing. Kia refuses to repair or replace them under warranty (25,500 miles on the car), claiming they are wear item. However, pitting is not wear, in fact quite the opposite. My analysis (30+ yrs in the auto business): As an EV, regenerative braking means the actual brake systems are rarely
... used. Noise at low speeds prompted the inspection at a local shop. Braking under high speeds does not result in noise, telling me the system relies too heavily on the front brakes. The result is the rear rotors are too often unused leaving them to rust and then pit. Tesla recognizes that regen braking can actually harm brake rotors, suggesting burnishing the brakes at times using the following procedure: 1) Drive the vehicle at approximately 50 mph - 55 mph (80 km/h - 90 km/h) on a straight road. 2) Apply moderate, consistent pressure to the brake pedal to slowly decelerate the vehicle, releasing at 10 mph (15 km/h). 3) Repeat this procedure 6 times, waiting at least 30 seconds between applications. Since the rear brakes do not appear to engage on the Kia Niro, this method is fruitless. Other Niro drivers report this as seen here: [XXX] I my opinion, the vehicles should at minimum be repaired under warranty or recalled to "rebalance" the brake system. Thank you... About 2 months ago, the power steering assist stopped working and has been intermittent since. As I drove it to the dealership, I splashed into a puddle and the power steering returned. The dealership ran a check and found the code C2128 but said they could not replicate the problem. They found the PSA module cover was rusty. They wanted to charge $3,500 to replace the module as well as $2,300
... to repair both front struts. I took my truck back (power steering inoperable) and researched parts, repair shops and recalls. There is a recall for PSA failure of the year of my vehicle though my truck is not included. I seem to have all the same issues as reported in the NHTSA recall. The power steering is presently still intermittent (wet weather seems to effect it) and feels generally unsafe as it fails and returns without warning. No other symptoms or indications before, during or after failure(s).Read more
