AFTER SOME QUICK ONLINE RESEARCH I FOUND MANY SIMILAR COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER LINCOLN OWNERS. UNEXPECTED ENGINE SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING AND WITH NO WARNING. SCARY AND VERY UNSAFE TO SAY THE LEAST. I CHECKED THE VIN AND THIS VEHICLE IS NOT LISTED AS BEING INCLUDED IN THE RECALL BUT IT DEFINITELY HAS THE PROBLEM. I SPOKE WITH FORD AND UNLESS THE RECALL INCLUDES THIS VIN THEY WILL NOT REPAIR AS A RECALL, BUT RATHER AT MY EXPENSE. I WAS TRAVELLING IN THE MID
... DLE LANE OF A 3 LANE HIGHWAY GOING APPROXIMATELY 60 MILES PER HOUR AND THE VEHICLES IN FRONT OF ME BRAKED HARD CAUSING ME TO BRAKE HARD AS WELL. IT WAS A RAINY MORNING AND THE ABS ACTIVATED AND I FELT THE BRAKE PEDAL SOFTEN AND GO DOWN ABOUT ANOTHER INCH WHERE IT STILL PROVIDED BRAKING BUT I CAN FEEL THAT IT IS LOWER THAN BEFORE AND THERE IS A POINT AT WHICH I CAN FEEL THE BRAKES BUT STILL NEED TO DEPRESS FURTHER TO ACHIEVE GOOD STOPPING. THE BACK-UP CAMERA SYSTEM IS INOPERABLE. WHEN VEHICLE IS SHIFTED INTO REVERSE, THE SCREEN THAT IS SUPPOSED TO DISPLAY AN IMAGE FROM THE BACK-UP CAMERA OF THE AREA BEHIND THE VEHICLE IS BLACKED OUT. I WAS INFORMED BY MY LOCAL LINCOLN DEALER'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT THAT THE BACK-UP CAMERA IS DEFECTIVE AND THAT, UNFORTUNATELY, REPLACEMENT CAMERAS ARE ON AN INDEFINITE NATION-WIDE BACK ORDER WITH NO ETA I
