This 2021 Lincoln Corsair is equipped with Auto Start/Stop technology. Auto Start/Stop Technology automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle comes to a full stop and idles for more than a few seconds. It does it every time, when you are stopped over 45 seconds and the engine is off. ( In Auto start/stop mode). Lincoln Dealership has verified this problem by driving the car and confirming the problem, but does not know what is causing the engine to re-start itself. If your foot is not on the brake, the car will lunge forward and strike what ever is in front of the vehicle. If Auto Hold Technology is on, the vehicle will still lunge but will not move forward. This vehicle was first purchased on December 11, 2021 and as this date 07/08/2022 is still lunging forward when in Auto Start/Stop mode. Vehicle had about 18 miles on it when purchased. MKX has 75000 miles on it and the tss and oss sensors have gone out. Car goes into limp mode and will barely move, it shifts very hard, speed odometer quits and all the warning lights come on. If you stop let it sit and restart car it resets issue but you never know when it will happen again. It can happen at cruising speed or at start of car. VERY unsafe

After that one instance, it hasn't done it since. Today, while in shop for routine maintenance, I mentioned it to the Service Advisor. He said "There's a recall out on that, " I said ,"will you fix it today while I'm here?" He said , "yes'. At home, upon reviewing paperwork ,about what was done, no mention of fixing the recall, nor seeing why the camera screen went dark, was made. So, I called the Dealer and was told "There is no outstanding recall on your vehicle" They have told me I may make an appointment to leave my car at least a day for them to diagnose the problem. There was no warning , before the backup screen on my dash went totally dark. This was one time and, on May 27, 2022. Our vehicle barely has 1000 miles on it. We bought it new in January, 2022.
