NOTE: This is an RV built by Thor Motorhomes on a Ford Transit chassis. I believe the issue is caused by Thor. There is a sticker on the window of the side sliding door that gives instructions for unlocking the door (from the inside) in case of an emergency. The sticker states: "WARNING IN AN EMERGENCY, PULL THE LATCH TWICE TO UNLOCK THE DOOR". The instructions do not work. The sticker should o
... nly have been used on RV's on a Ram Promaster chassis as that is a standard function of that van. The Ford Transit does not have that feature. An employee at Thor acknowledged to me that the sticker was placed in error. I know that it was placed on at least one other (and possible many other) Ford based RVs. There has been nothing sent out to owners to warn them of this issue. In the event of a fire or accident this could delay or prevent a passenger from being able to exit the vehicle. The door can be unlocked manually so there is nothing that needs repair - people just need to be warned that the posted instructions are wrong.Read more

My vehicles power doors have become exponentially more difficult to open since new in manual mode. I am now not able to open the rear door manually without throwing my weight into it, and my children cannot do it in assisted. I have confirmed with my dealer and a floor unit that the door is infact more difficult to open in manual mode vs power assist. This concerns me because in the event of an ac

VW confirmed there is nothing to be done at the time because “ the rear door is designed to be only operated automatically” and will not investigate until the door motor fails. My 2020 Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring Plug‑In Hybrid has experienced multiple high‑voltage powertrain failures that create an immediate safety hazard. The vehicle has twice lost propulsion while driving, displaying “Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power” and “Service Engine Soon” before shutting down completely. During the first failure, the vehicle stopped in active traffic and would
... not restart; a police officer stopped to assist and called a tow truck because the disabled vehicle posed a roadway hazard. In addition, the digital instrument cluster has repeatedly gone completely black while the vehicle is in motion, eliminating all visibility of speed, gear position, warning indicators, and hybrid system status. During the most recent blackout, an [XXX] child was in the vehicle with me, significantly increasing the danger. These failures are accompanied by hybrid‑system fault code P0A1E (Starter/Generator Control Module), a pink charging‑port indicator signaling a charging fault, and irregular hybrid‑battery behavior (range not updating, battery not depleting). The vehicle has been inspected four times by authorized Lincoln/Ford dealers and has been out of service more than 34 cumulative days. Although the P0A1E code and symptoms were documented, the dealers repeatedly stated they were “unable to verify” the concern and returned the vehicle unrepaired. Required high‑voltage diagnostics were not completed. The problem is ongoing, intermittent, and has not been corrected. Sudden propulsion loss, dashboard blackout, and high‑voltage control failures put occupants and other motorists at significant risk. I am requesting NHTSA investigate this as a potential safety defect. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

Water began accumulating in the front footwell area of the vehicle, resulting in a soaked carpet and persistent musty odor. The condition developed during normal operation of the air conditioning system, without any external water intrusion (no flooding or open windows). The issue appears to be caused by a failure of the A/C condensate drain system, which is not properly draining water outside th
... e vehicle. Instead, condensation is leaking into the cabin. This creates a risk of mold growth and potential damage to electrical components located beneath the floor, including wiring harnesses and control modules. The problem has been reproducible, especially when the air conditioning is in use. There were no warning lights or alerts prior to noticing the issue. Research indicates that BMW has identified this exact defect in Service Information Bulletin SIB 64 04 16, which states that the condensate drain hose may be improperly installed, kinked, blocked, or damaged during installation, leading to water ingress into the footwell area. This suggests the issue is due to a known design or manufacturing defect rather than normal wear and tear. This condition poses a safety concern due to possible electrical malfunction and reduced vehicle reliability. The affected components are available for inspection upon request.Read more

2023 Ram 1500 V6 eTorque, 40,000 miles. Two stalling incidents have occurred under different conditions. Incident 1: While towing approximately 4,000 lbs, the 12V battery began slowly draining while the vehicle was in motion. Battery voltage gradually dropped below 10 volts until the engine shut off completely while driving. No warning lights appeared prior to shutdown. Jump start restored normal
... operation. Stored fault codes retrieved afterward showed 16 simultaneous voltage fault codes across every major module including ECU, ABS, EPS, DDM, PDM, CSWM, IFC, PTS and SCCM — all logging system voltage below allowable range simultaneously, consistent with a complete charging system failure. PCM also logged a U0401 code indicating implausible data received, consistent with the PCM losing stable voltage. Incident 2: After approximately 45 minutes of low-speed driving (5-10 mph) in a Walmart parking lot, the vehicle stalled without warning on a busy road in [XXX] . My wife and two young children were in car seats in the vehicle at the time. The engine cut off completely in live moving traffic with no warning. I was forced to exit the vehicle and jump start it in the middle of traffic while my children remained strapped in their car seats, creating a serious and dangerous situation. Jump start restored normal operation. On the subsequent highway drive home, battery voltage was observed declining from 14V to 13.2V over the course of the drive, suggesting the charging system is unable to maintain adequate voltage output. This is a known recurring issue with the Ram eTorque mild hybrid system. NHTSA has an open preliminary investigation into eTorque stalling on 2022 Ram 1500 models. The MGU, BPCM and PCM are all covered under the 8-year/80,000-mile Federal Emissions Warranty verified via VIN. PCM software updates have never been performed on this vehicle. There was one alert soon after I left Gallup NM, the engine heat light went off very briefly then went off (mile marker 6). The close to Miler marker 340 in AZ the card complete shut down and I had no control over the car. I had to pull over. I was in the middle of no where with no cell service. I was eventually able to reach my father Via Whatsapp/ I tried multiple times to call my husband but ha
... d no service. I added water to the radiator and sat the car for several minutes. The outside temperature was 41. I was not near anything. I was able to start the car and drive very slow without the engine light alerting me. I pulled over at the next exit that had a gas station and purchased Antifreeze and water. I called my father again and did a video call to make sure I was doing it correctly. I then drove only 40 miles when the engine light alerted and added more coolant. I drove slowly and once in Flagstaff checked my oil. I was in constant contact with my father and husband. I stopped 8x to fill the vehicle's radiator. I arrived home very late and exhausted. On March 2 I contacted my mechanic but could not get the vehicle into him for inspection until March 9. On March 10, I was notified that there had been recalls and the head gasgette for my car but I do not see any recalls in the system at this time. My mechanic reported the engine was done and he would purchase a used enghine to start a rebuild. He was later alerted to the turbo charge having damage and it needed to be replaced as well. The transmission fluid was black. There are concerns that this car has higher milage on the vehicle due to rust, dark trans fuild and the overall appearance of the engine once it was removed. I proceeded to pay for a Car Fax report. This vehicle has only 53,900 miles and too low for this much damage and concerns. The car was purchased in Nevada and undetermined if known concerns were apparent. It is quite concerning being stranded in the middle of no where and your car stopping.Read more

This makes the vehicle difficult and unsafe to use, especially since it affects visibility and system controls. I understand a fix isn’t avai
... lable yet, but my system is essentially unusable. Since the system won’t update, I can’t even apply the future recall fix when it becomes available. This seems like a hardware failure related to the recall issue.Read more

Unknown. When vehicle is running there is a strong smell of burnt wires coming from the front passenger side of the vehicle. It gets worse after running for awhile. Smell is stronger when the air is on. Reading other recalls it sounds similar to recalls on similar vehicles blower motors.

Interior front reading lights turn on and off randomly when driving and when not driving. This is incredibly distracting especially at night.

My car has had 1 or all 4 of the outside door latches fail for 3-4 times now over its lifetime. Only under warranty for 10 years or 100k miles. Very expensive repair, at $1500 for 1 latch, or $5500 for all 4. This is almost the value of the whole car now. This happens to ALL Lincoln Continentals and is very infamous & common for them & should be a lifetime recall warranty item for safety. Also,
... both Catalytic convertor show to be failing within 150k-165k miles which is way too soon. And another very expensive fix.Read more

Safety defect P1326 code is a known indicator of rod bearing wear. When it triggered, the vehicle immediately went into Limp Mode, creating a significant safety hazard. The behavior aligns with the documented defect affecting NU GDI Engines and is not consistent with normal Engine wear. I have confirmed the KSDS software update was performed. I have taken the vehicle to Clay Cooley Kia of Plano
... and my service advisor has confirmed that the engine is defected per the NU GDI Engine Settlement and related federal safety actions.Read more

I took my Sentra to Performance Nissan located at 1345 S Federal Hwy, Pompano Beach, FL 33062 and was refused service. They refused to fix the safety recall on my vehicle because of a rebuilt title. I called Nissan Of America and was told regardless of a rebuilt title a safety recall should be fixed by the dealership.

The rear passenger door actuators have both failed. The rear hatch will not unlock using the touch button. We just received notice that our transmission/transfer case needs replacing. $13K for this.
