I called the Jeep dealer on 3/2/23 and found out that my vehicle went out of the "Warranty Bulletin" time period just last month. I missed the repair because I was not notified of the issue from Jeep / Mopar! After reading of other individuals occurrences and injuries I have disconnected the "AHR" from the driver seat because of the possibility of it activating when my daughter is driving the vehicle and causing her to loose control of the vehicle. This item failing is more dangerous to drivers & passengers than other items which have been recalled by the NHTSA because this can cause an accident with death potential vs like a leaking fuel line that would cause a fire and loss of the vehicle but most likely not a death because the person would be able to exit the vehicle.Read more

They topped it off and told me to return in a thousand miles to see if it was still burning oil. If it was burning significant oil at that point, they would seal it and begin the Hyundai oil consumption test. At about 600 miles, I could smell a strong plastic burning odor and we checked the dip stick and the oil was barely detectable. We called Hyundai and was told there was nothing they could do and we have to go the full thousand miles to determine if we qualify for the test. We are concerned are engine is going to stall, burn up or catch fire in our garage. They told us, we couldn’t get are car in to be looked at until the end of March. After doing some research, I am aware that there is a current class action lawsuit against Hyundai for this issue.Read more

This is a serious safety concern because the vehicle will decelerate very quickly with no visual warning lights to other drivers behind the vehicle. I have noticed that this issue has been reported by other drivers online, but I have not yet taken the vehicle to be inspected by the dealer. I maintained proper service. Brennegen did not disclose active recall before purchase. Since purchase I have repaired two problems brakes, and fire risk to engine. At this months regular oils change my current mechanic Dahl ford said the water pump was leaking. The estimated repair is $5000. I paid just to have it diagnosed yesterday as I have not $5000. I followed their advice and parked this. My vehicle is currently not drivable. I investigated and discovered Lincoln Ford has several class action lawsuits filed against them. Many consumers have the water pump problem and unfortunately Lincoln was well informed of this since 2007 and purposely have not fixed the issue. Yet currently many consumers like me are in danger of eminent engine failure and catastrophic failure of Lincoln vehicles. The cost is far more expensive for many and consumers should not be victims of lemons and fraud. Lincoln knew and currently knows of problem. They denied to buy back my vehicle or repair it. The case was just filed yesterday and Lincoln denied it in less than 12 hours. Without any Investigation Or explanation they just told the other department rep to call me back and deny my complaint. ... essure, gas mileage. What are the symptoms? During vehicle operation, the video display to the driver's side will randomly cycle through alternate operations not requested by the user. For example, while listening to radio station "A", the unit will switch to radio station "B". Then, the clock will be displayed in "full screen mode". Then, the unit initiates phone calls to people from my contacts list on my phone. In addition, the display unit over the steering wheel is connected to the side unit and will randomly change display. Each time these units change operation, the system emits an audible beep. All this is distracting and increases the workload of the driver (talking on the phone while driving trying to explain that you didn't mean to call the person), thus representing a safety hazard while driving. While the misbehavior comes and goes, at its worst, the unit will change operation a few times per minute. I made a video of the misbehavior, which I can share with you upon request. The behavior is reproducible. Why do I say this is a design flaw requiring NHTSA safety recall? The unit is relatively new but past its warranty period: the vehicle has 57,000 miles. I have driven multiple times in the rain and when using the wipers, they slow down almost to a crawl impairing visibility. It doesn't matter what setting they are on, they slow down to the point that I am unable to see. I have to manually restart the wiping process each time, but the problem persists. Travel Assist (ACC)light and emergency braking systems are turning off and on repeatedly and intermittently. This happened 5 or 6 times on my 15-minute drive to work a few weeks back.
