My car has had an engine light that comes on goes off throwing a code for Cylinder One Misfire since January 2023. It was 'repaired' at the dealership that I bought it from and they replaced the spark plugs and the coil and that did not stop the light from coming on and going on. I took it to another service center in my town and had it checked one of the times that the engine light was on and the

I do not know where the coolant is going, I am now worried that it is going into the engine. Went to get in it this morning, and said no key was detected. Okay, whatever, we'll use a backup code. The screen never prompted for a backup code. We had the key inside the vehicle, so we use the Lincoln Way App to start the car and figured we can get it going from there. Nope, the car was running and everything was going, yet it won't allow us to select Drive, Reverse, or Neutral. Sat there for
... a bit, fumbling around and nothing worked to get the vehicle in motion. We finally hit enough buttons for the vehicle to shut off, we got out, locked the doors, plugged it in, and just allowed it a few minutes to reset. Notta. Got all this on video. I finally had to pop the hood and use the freaking 2021-2023 Explorer / Aviator Hybrid Vehicle Emergency Response Guide to kill 12v power to the thing. After all that, it allowed us to get in and drive normally. However just a few hours later... 2,600 miles on the odometer and we were driving approx 55mph and the Aviator engaged the parking brake for about half a second. Nasty noise, huge bucking from the chassis, and just a split second of extreme confusion and wondering WTF. The red "park brake" was illuminated on the dashboard, and everything seemed normal afterward. However, immediately after that incident it then disabled adaptive cruise control via a message on the dashboard (no cruise worked). We drove home without further incident, called the dealer, and they stated to call Lincoln Roadside Assistance, get it towed back to the dealer that it was just a few days ago, and they'll deliver a loaner to us. A few hours later, it's on the tow truck. This is the second time this vehicle has placed us in danger. The first issue I'll report after this is submitted. Thank you.Read more

My 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer is about 3 months old and it’s been making squeaky noises when I break. The squeaky sound is getting worse over time and I have an appointment scheduled with Chevrolet to get this resolved. My concern is a 2022 recall on this same vehicle due to the break system. Therefore, I am reporting this for the year or 2023 because my car is brand new and making screech noise

I turned off my car and the radio stayed on and the volume wasn’t going down. The car was off and the radio was still playing! After about 15 mins the radio stopped playing while the car was off. Something isn’t right with my trailblazer, electric and breaks. Lastly, in the images you will see as my millage goes up so does the remaining fuel miles I have left. The fuel miles left are suppose to go down as I’m using the car. Therefore, something is also wrong with my electric dashboard system and fuel meter. I own a 2018 Ford Escape with a 1.5L EcoBoost engine. The vehicle was purchased new. It experienced catastrophic engine failure in June 2023 with 86,286 miles on the original engine. With very little warning, the car began running rough, the "Check Engine" light came on, it lost power and it began billowing white smoke. The vehicle was transported via flatbed to a Ford dealership. In accordance wi
... th TSB 22-2322, the shop performed diagnostic testing and found coolant intrusion in cylinder 2. My vehicle was one of three in their shop with "blown" engines just that day. This dealership is reported to have serviced between 400-500 vehicles with the same type of engine failure. My research into this issue has uncovered an alarming rate of EcoBoost failures and generated serious safety concerns. Specifically: - Coolant intrusion can cause engines to overheat, causing automobiles to catch fire. (potential deadly consequence) - Sudden loss of power/acceleration. Engine failures while in traffic are a hazard to the driver, passengers and adjacent motorists (again, with potentially deadly consequences) The Ford dealership informed me that vehicle owners with less than 84,000 miles are being offered short block replacement under an extended Ford Motor Co warranty. Furthermore, some Ford owners are being offered financial assistance for repair if they are considered "loyal." In my case, I was refused financial assistance. Despite its otherwise good condition, I am undecided on whether I will repair the vehicle. I believe the existence of an extended engine warranty and the fact that multiple TSBs have been issued on these engines constitutes admission on the part of Ford that it is responsible for the extraordinary rate of EcoBoost engine failures. I believe these engines pose an inherent safety risk to drivers, their passengers and the public. I urge NHTSB to order a recall of the affected engines.Read more

2021 LINCOLN CORSAIR- Consumer states: " At the suggestion of James 0., I reported an important issue with Ford Motor Company in which a serious injury was inadvertently caused on December 2022, due to the use of two key fobs at the same time involving a 2021 Lincoln Corsair. 2014 AUDI S6- Consumer states " I am writing to file a claim for a vehicle recall on my 2014 Audi S6. The date of the recall is March-20-2022. The NHTSA Campaign# is 22V-178. The Audi Recall# is 21H7. The specific defect that is being recalled is Turbo failure. In early 2021, I experienced multiple problems with my vehicle that were consistent with the recall, such as Rough Idling, Difficult to S
... tart, and Stalls. It was fixed at a local Audi dealership in May-2021 (prior to the recall announcement). I was responsible for the repair expenses, which totaled $4198.29, for the Turbo and oil strainer replacement. When I became aware of the recall, I filed a claim with Audi to request reimbursement. Audi's recall website indicates that there are no recalls pending for my vehicle, but the Model Year/Model/Engine/Issue is consistent with the scope of the recall. In over 7 months after filing the claim, I have not heard back from Audi even after repeat inquiries. I would like NHTSA's help to get reimbursement from the OEM. Please contact me if any additional information is needed, such as a copy of the repair invoice. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.Read more
