The van is experiencing the auto stop-start defect causing major safety issues for my family. The car stalls randomly at stop signs and stoplights and is unable to be restarted quickly, creating a major traffic and safety hazard. The car often will not turn on at start up. The dealer stated that it needed a new starter. Then said that Honda would not replace the starter until a tech looked a
... t it. Then after several weeks still had not moved forward getting a tech. Then said to bring the van in for them to keep until they could get a tech, and offered a small car without room for the kids as a loaner for the indefinite amount of time they want to keep the van. There were no warning lights when it has happened. This issue is already being investigate by the NHTSA - Investigation Number EA25004. This is a known issue for Honda and I am unable to get a safe vehicle or get my vehicle fixed. Below, i have to choose a date for the incident, but this is ongoing and has happened on more dates that I can possibly log. It happens weekly, if not daily.Read more

I paid Tesla to perform a safety inspection of my Tesla Cybertruck after I purchased it. During that inspection, Tesla determined that the vehicle's as built configuration was **not safe** and required me to purchase a newer revision of the Power Conversion System (PCS). The required PCS revision did not exist when my vehicle was originally manufactured, meaning the vehicle could not have been bui

I believe this is a safety defect that warrants investigation by the NHTSA. Tesla's own words on their invoice state that the as-built configuration was determined to be unsafe, and required me to purchase a newer revision of the PCS (1777777-T2-G) to address the safety issue.Read more

My 2022-Toyota Tacoma has a paint peeling issue that is known to Toyota. My particular model was manufactured in Mexico with a paint code of 040. I have paint peeling in my engine compartment and on several fenders. Toyota has indicated on several websites that this has been an ongoing issue with models between 2016-2022. I took my vehicle to the ELK Grove, CA Toyota Dealership. The Service Manag
... er said this has been an ongoing issue with my particular white (040) paint color. The Service Manager took several pictures. They instructed me to take my vehicle to their dealership collision center. I went to that facility, more pictures were taken and after setting me up for a repair paint job they instructed me that my VIN was not apart of their Customer Care program? I strongly feel that Toyota is now treating me unfairly and that my 2022-Tacoma should be repaired accordingly.Read more

NHTSA Safety Complaint To: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) Regarding: Vehicle Safety Hazard / Fraudulent Repairs on 2017 Chevrolet Silverado VIN: [XXX] To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to file an emergency vehicle safety complaint regarding a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, VIN [XXX], purchased on XXX. Huntley Ford performed unauthorized, fraudulent, and unsafe repairs tha
... t resulted in the vehicle being returned to me as an active fire hazard, directly violating federal motor vehicle safety expectations. Huntley Ford forced a salvage engine onto the vehicle, stripped me of my repair rights, and intentionally cleared dashboard error codes to mask severe, systemic mechanical defects. Following an engine replacement, transmission replacement, and catalytic converter replacement, I took the vehicle to Sunrise Chevrolet for inspection. The technician at Sunrise Chevrolet discovered that the vehicle was actively burning fluid onto the alternator. The technician explicitly stated that the vehicle was a fire hazard and that there was an emergency safety brake problem, and brakes. Huntley Ford knowingly delivered a structurally compromised and life-threatening vehicle. I request a full investigation into Huntley Ford’s repair safety practices to protect the public from further hazardous non-compliance. I have a 16 page paper trail Word document letter proving Huntley Ford committed auto fraud, has practiced illegal practices, lied, sold us a truck that they cleared codes, after only a few months full transmission, c. converter replacement, engine, and did not fix the truck properly still, returned it back to us when they knew it was not ok, lied, cleared codes, we brought our own scanner, they lied again, said the codes just needed to be cleared. When we notified [XXX], Huntley Ford's repair manager, he did nothing. Incident date: Jul 23, 2026
The sunroof shattered without any impact issue, while we were driving down the road at approximately 65 MPH. If the sunshade had not been closed the driver and two passengers would have been showered in glass risking serious injury. The driver would have been challenged to maintain control risking serious injury to those in his vehicle and others on a busy highway. High Risk incident. I'm from Iow
... a and purchased the vehicle in Des Moines. The sunroof failed in just north of Greeley Colorado, and I had to have the repairs completed in Greeley, at the Honda dealer. The dealer claims that "glass is not a warranty item" unless I can prove a defect existed. Well, the sunroof essentially exploded and there's not much left to be able to prove the defect. My dealer in Des Moines would have supported a warranty claim. No one other than the Honda dealership in Greeley Colorado has inspected the damaged parts. There was absolutely no warning that the sunroof was about to fail catastrophically. We were driving at ~65 MPH in hot weather ~95 degrees, when a sudden heavy rain shower occurred, along with a corresponding sudden drop in temperature; 15-20 degrees, and we heard a very loud bang on the sunroof, like a baseball bat hitting the roof, and then we could hear glass shards on top of the sunshade. I pulled off the road and examined to sunroof to see that it was completely shattered or exploded. Fortunately, the rain stopped as suddenly as it started, and we located a Honda dealer in Greely and had them make repairs as the vehicle was not drivable with the sunroof shattered. Initial price quoted was $1,218 and the final price a week and a half later was $4,101. Honda denied my warranty claim, and insurance denied claim since there was no hail.Read more

While I was driving in traffic, the vehicle again braked on its own with no obstacle ahead. A sedan behind me nearly rear-ended me. This sudden, uncommanded braking happens without warning while I am driving in traffic and has nearly caused a rear-end collision on both occasions. It is terrifying and I no longer feel safe driving this vehicle, especially with my child. The same vehicle also has ongoing electrical and drive-power failures (loss of power while driving, repeated stalling in reverse, and complete no-start events) that I have reported separately. This is a reoccuring issue and happens daily. When the vehicle is cold and sitting all day or all night, on the first 5 minutes of driving or so, when you push the accelerator pedal from a dead stop or rolling stop, there is no throttle/engine response for at least 1.5-2 seconds. This is a HIGHLY unsafe condition and can lead to a traffic collision. I have reached out to Toyota Corporate about thi
... s and they said to bring it into my local dealer, Dick Hannah Toyota in Kelso, WA to perform the rolling stop TSB that is out on these Tundra Trucks. I received information from Dick Hannah that when they went to perform the procedures to take care of this TSB, that it had already been done and that there was nothing they could do further. They asked me to document the conditions to try and get Toyota Corporate to do something about it. I asked if there wasn't a recalibration they could do or anything else to make this condition improve, and they said no there is not. I expressed my concerns saying that there is nothing to document, that this happens everyday and is a daily occurence whenever the vehicle has been sitting for a long period of time. I have reached out to other vehicle owners on vehicle forums on the internet that are experiencing the same exact problems with no remediation from Toyota Dealers or Toyota Corporate. I was even offered to get into a split to hire a lawyer to get this unsafe condition remedied. This is a big deal and should not be overlooked and written off by ANYBODY.Read more

The vehicle displayed warnings and temporarily disabled ADAS functions. The Reduced Acceleration event created a hazardous situation in traffic. The dealer attributed the incident to “low coolant,” but the diagnostic codes clearly show electrical and communication failures across multiple safety‑critical modules. Component/System: Aluminum hood panel (front edge seam). The hood is available for inspection upon request. The front edge of the aluminum hood on my 2019 Ford Explorer has developed bubbling, lifting paint, and corrosion originating from inside the folded seam. The defect has progressively worsened over time and continues to spread outward. Safety Risk: The corrosion is occurring at the front h
... ood seam, which is part of the structure that supports the hood latch area. Progressive corrosion in this region may weaken the hood panel over time, potentially affecting hood retention at highway speeds. Paint loss and metal degradation also reduce visibility of the defect until it becomes severe. Reproduction/Confirmation: The problem is visible and reproducible at any time. The bubbling and corrosion are present continuously and worsen with normal vehicle use. Inspection History: The issue has been visually inspected by me. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, dealer, police, or insurance representatives. Warning Lamps or Messages: No warning lamps or messages appeared. There were no electronic symptoms prior to the failure. The first visible symptom was small paint bubbles along the front hood edge, which appeared approximately when the corrosion began. Assessment: Based on widespread reports for this model year and Ford’s own Technical Service Bulletins for aluminum panel corrosion, the cause appears to be corrosion originating inside the aluminum hood seam, likely due to manufacturing contamination.Read more

I am submitting this complaint to document what I believe is a recurring defect involving the air conditioning compressor on my 2013 Acura ILX Hybrid. Vehicle history: * 2013: Vehicle purchased new. * 2019: Original A/C compressor failed and required replacement. * 2026: Replacement A/C compressor has failed again. This means the vehicle is now on its third A/C compressor since new. Based on my
... experience, each compressor has lasted only about 4–6 years before failing. The first compressor replacement, performed by an Acura dealer in 2019, cost approximately $5,700. I have now been quoted approximately $3,600 by an independent repair facility and approximately $5,200 by an Acura dealer for the current repair. In addition to the extremely high repair cost, I have found that many independent A/C repair shops are reluctant to perform this repair because of the complexity and expense of replacing the compressor on this hybrid model. Replacement options are also very limited because this compressor is essentially an Acura OEM-specific component, with few, if any, widely available equivalent alternatives. The current failure began with a rattling/chattering noise whenever the A/C was engaged. Eventually, the compressor load became severe enough that the accessory belt was thrown off when the A/C engaged. An independent mechanic inspected the vehicle, ruled out the belt tensioner, and concluded that the compressor is the source of the problem. While compressors are wear items, replacing the compressor three times over the life of the vehicle—with each unit lasting only about five years—appears to be an unusually short service life, especially considering the exceptionally high cost of repair. In my opinion, this suggests a potential design or durability issue with the compressor used in the 2013 Acura ILX Hybrid. I am requesting that NHTSA document this complaint and review whether other owners of the same vehicle have experienced similar repeated compressor failurRead more

I was driving and steering reduced drive with caution notification and brake assist notification came on and then engine light and the temp gage went to cold and stayed there. My steering stiffened up making it hard to steer. This is a known problem with the Chevy blazers and it had to do with the thermostat needing replaced.

I did a navigation update as requested by the infotainment system on the Hyundai. After the update, the air conditioner would not turn on when the ac button was depressed . I took the vehicle to my local Hyundai dealer and they found the ac blower and ac button working intermittently. After further inspection, the mechanic found the multi fuses that sit on the PCB bloc had one burnt fuse that did
... not blow and was still hot and the PCB block had melted around where the fuse connected to it. ( Hyundai stated that they required the damaged PCB fuse, the PCB block and the harness). I'm concerned that the electrical short discovered by the Hyundai mechanic could have progress and burnt my car or my house since I keep my car in the garage. The Mechanic working for the Hyundai dealer found the burnt fuses and PCB block and kept them after replacing them with new parts. The ac was working fine until I did the navigation update and there were no warnings whatsoever.Read more

fuel pump control module failed at 26000. recall number N252516900. This is a recall that other 2021 blazers have ben part of. Over 300000 recalls so far. GM says my car isn't. Ridiculous. They dont want to acknowledge their fault. I need a formal statement that this module should be recalled for my car.
