I had warning lights come on service abs brake system. They replaced abs control module at around 30000 miles under warranty, and now at 58000 I'm getting the warning again. Abs doesn't work, traction control doesn't work and cruise control doesn't work. This makes the truck very unsafe especially when towing which truck is designed for. When turning at low speeds like a drive-thru or in a parking lot, the vehicle makes a skipping or grabbing sound and pulls/lurches slightly until the wheels are straightened. Recommended fix was replacing a front differential ventilation hose, which is not covered by bumper-to-bumper or powertrain warranty, and not a guarantee to fix the issue.

The remote start was disconnected. 9/17/2024 Went back to Balise Honda requested another diagnostic test. Car needed to be "jump started" almost daily even though the CRV is driven daily to charge the battery. Disconnecting the remote start did not solve the battery drain. Balise determined a $3212.12 Instrument Panel Wire Harness and Keyless Access Unit was needed. No diagnosis report provided. 10/9/2024: To date the electrical cause is uncertain. ... ples. When this is occurring all functions are extremely slow. For example I got into the car this afternoon and didn't want to hear the radio so I hit mute, the button did nothing. Then I turn the volume down, again it did not go down. Then I hit the phone call button on the steering wheel and again nothing. This seems to consistently happen when you first start the car while on Android phone connects to Android Auto. After a few moments while I'm driving, I am startled because suddenly the volume mutes and then unmutes and then goes down and then goes back up... Basically everything I pressed several moments ago suddenly happens like it's been sitting in a queue indefinitely. When the car is like this, if somebody calls me on the phone the Bluetooth is very garbled or if I use the navigation that's in Android Auto, again everything's very garbled and time delayed. The problem seems to resolve itself sometime around 5 to 10 minutes after I start driving so it only happens when you first start the car and it does not happen every time. The fact that this affects just about every system and the time delay causes things to happen when you're trying to focus on driving makes this a very unsafe situation. I called two local dealers who basically said that they'd be happy to check it out but if there's nothing wrong that general motors will cover, then I have to pay for their time to even look at it. Auto Start feature was active, when I pressed on the gas pedal, engine suddenly turned off. The car would not start. There was no warning or any error message. We were stuck in the middle of the fast lane in heavy traffic and cars were passing on the both sides, making it impossible to be even get out and walk to safety. I tried to restart the car multiple times with success. We felt in danger of being struck by another vehicle. Luckily, the CHP was a few minutes behind us and stopped to help us. We tried to put the vehicle in Neutral so it can be pushed out to the side and not block traffic. I called the East Bay BMW and the Road Assistance for help with putting the vehicle in Neutral but I was told it can’t be done. The CHP (2 officers) and I tried to put the car in neutral but without any success. I with EastBay BMW and was told that noting can be done to put the vehicle in Neutral. The only way to shift the car in Neutral is from under the car and requires a mechanic . There was electrical burning smell coming from the engine compartment. The vehicle was towed to the EastBay Dealership in Pleasanton, CA. Upon inspection, the Dealer stated the issue is due to bad battery and it caused the starter to overload as I attempted to start the car. On 9/18/24 I was driving my Chevrolet 2018 Volt on a freeway, traveling at approximately 55 mph while starting to exit the freeway. In the middle of fast-moving traffic, on the freeway offramp and starting to decelerate, the car suddenly displayed a message saying "Propulsion Power is Reduced." A micro-second later, the displayed message changed to read "Action Required: Shift to Park" and in that
... moment I lost control of the car's powertrain. I continued to break, coming to a slow stop in the middle lane of a multi-lane offramp, with other cars speeding past and around me. I attempted to power the car down and reboot it, moving the gear shift into "Park" position as instructed, but nothing changed. The car remained totally inoperable. I was on a slight decline and noticed the car moving forward pulled by gravity, so I steered the car to the farthest right of the offramp/parallel street, where I put my hazard signals on and requested the car be towed to a mechanic. I was endangered because the car lost entire propulsion while in the middle of fast-moving freeway traffic, and fellow motorists were endangered as well. I have learned that this same behavior occurs routinely with 2nd generation Volts; that there is a special bulletin related to the car's BCEM *and* a related class-action lawsuit posed against GM/Chevrolet. I requested Chevrolet take preemptive action to repair the BCEM, as I am fearful the issue will repeat and cause additional danger to myself and fellow motorists, but Chevrolet says they cannot repair the part until it is diagnosed as defective... which will occur when/if the part fails again, and I'm already in danger.Read more

There are other reports out there on the web of other people having the same issue. Was told at one point it could be my equipment. After it broke my system last September and almost lost the car, my insurance company paid to have car repaired and installed a NEW Blue Ox system and it did it again. This time at slower speed and I was able to control. Told ALL DEALERSHIPS AND LINCOLN howitzer is happening and steering is not going back to zero after I make a turn or hit a bump. No reaction. One dealership told me I should not be towing that car, but the car is set up to be towed, according to owners manual. Repair documentation is with Lincoln and insurance company, with all reports. Have a date of September of last year because that was the big one, but started August of 2023, March of 2024, August of 2024 2 times. Each time reported to Lincoln and taken to shop. I had backed in to a parking space in a parking lot. To exit, I shifted the car into Drive, gently touched the accelerator (which should have accelerated the car to 2 MPH) and turned the steering wheel about 90° clockwise with my left hand to straighten the wheels. In doing so, the base of my left thumb inadvertently pushed the Set button on the cruise control, causing it to set to 15 MPH, its mi
... nimum setting, and the car to rapidly accelerate. I jammed on the breaks but wasn’t able to stop in time to avoid colliding into the side of a passing car. Because my right knee was locked in my effort to stop my car, the force of the impact was transferred to my hip and, though nothing was broken, I ended up spending two days in the observation unit of my hospital followed by eight days in residential rehabilitation. At the time, I had no idea what had caused the car to suddenly accelerate, seemingly without any input and certainly without my intent. It wasn’t until several months later that a similar acceleration event occurred, fortunately not resulting in an accident, and I was able to determine the cause. This problem is not the result of defective parts but of design. I believe the cruise Set button should not be located so close to the steering wheel rim and should not be raised as it is, but the safety issue could also be resolved in software by not allowing the cruise control to engage at very low speeds.Read more
