(addressing the above bullets as numbered items) (1) OEM replacement windshield (after what seems to be impact damage, although there are some reports in social media about "spontaneous windshield breakage - i.e. no known impact). It is available (currently installed in vehicle) for inspection upon request. (2) Safety is currently at risk because of bad image distortion near the passenger "A-pill
... ar". (3) Problem has been seen in a photograph by both a VW dealership, and (we've been told) by a VW "Regional Service Manager". We also scheduled and showed-up for a "Service Appointment" at the dealership, but they declined to either sit in the vehicle or go for a "test drive" to better observe this problem. (4) See (3) for mention of "inspection by photograph" by dealership. (5) Problem only appeared after replacement of the "as manufactured" windshield with that original windshield not having this problem. Windshield replacement occurred on April 4, 2025.Read more

After reading about the numerous complaints about this vehicles transmission issues I have decided to come here. The PCM and TCM need to be changed in the vehicle. Also constantly having drive control malfunction, check headlamp system messages popping u

He cle
... ared the codes. When I went out to leave the dealership, the codes came back on. The service tech said it is NOT safe to drive because my brakes can fail at anytime. Service said they need to replace the master cylinder. With this issue, my brakes could fail & a horrible crash could occur causing injuries and/or death. Service rep told me this has happened to a new Yukon too. My husband called the dealership in Lake City, FL, where we purchased the Acadia from & spoke to a service rep. He told my husband he has seen this in Yukons, Terrains & Sierra pick up trucks. This brake issue with the master cylinder should be a recall due to the potential dangers of a horrible accident that can occur if the brakes fail. I am the owner of a 2020 Honda Civic Sport, and my air conditioning system has stopped working due to a failed evaporator. Honda has issued an extended warranty for the AC condenser but not for the ev

Lincoln system failure - My wife and I were coming home from a trip driving on Interstate 20 at 75 MPH with the cruise control and steering assist on. Traffic ahead was slowing quickly. Normally when approaching slower vehicles the cruise control will start slowing my Lincoln long before the set following distance is reached. I usually just let the cruise control slow me down. When I realized the
... cruise control wasn’t slowing me I applied the brakes and nothing happened. Even the engine kept power on. I steered into the emergency parking lane passing vehicles on my left. My wife hit the neutral button and the ignition button to try to kill the engine. After what seemed like a very long time we started slowing down and stopped after 2 to 3 hundred yards. The car was still in drive mode, the engine was still on and the cruise control was still engaged. Why we finally stopped I don’t know. Being extremely busy pressing the break pedal and hanging onto the steering wheel there was no way I could have leaned way forward and to left to apply the emergency parking brake. Useless location in an emergency. After continuing on the steering assist wasn’t working properly. It would start steering around a curve then disengage. I wasn’t about to turn on the cruise control to see if it was working. Also earlier in the day every time I turned the car off and back on I’d have to go thru a menu to get the radio to work and re find the station I listen to. Related? Also when the GPS is set on a destination and I turn the car off and back on when stopping at a rest area I have to reset the destination. Related? The mechanic at my local dealer was able to duplicate the problem. He rebooted the system. It happened once. Will it ever happen again? I know that occasionally I have to reboot my computer. It seems similar to me. I doubt I’ll ever use the cruise control again.Read more

I cannot afford to purchase another car seat right now. I am going to have to use the seat belt to keep the car seat from spinning on its own. I am at all costs trying to my hardest to have to leave home. As it’s is honestly frightening. How was the child’s safety put at risk? My Child’s life was put as risk by the base not staying secure and spinning. As well as not staying locked to keep him safe. Also, this happened to us while we were at a store so we had not choice but to put him back in the car seat and my daughter and I held the car seat in place while my husband drove back home. As we did not want to get into and accident and the car seat not keep our baby safe. This was scary as I’m wondering now how low he this base been this way. Submitted by: [XXX] Dealership: Joe Rizza Ford of Orland Park Vehicle: 2021 Lincoln Nautilus VIN: [XXX] Date: 04/04/25 Overview: Vehicle VIN [XXX] has shown persistent signs of remote system manipulation, unauthorized firmware behavior, and OTA event spoofing. These symptoms have manifested in repeated diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) across key modules, backdated OTA logging activity, and anoma

I immediately turned the vehicle off and contacted the closest dealership to have it towed there which was Courtesy Hyundai (3810 W Hillsborough Ave, Tampa, FL 33614). I informed them that the vehicle was on it's way there and to notify me when it arrived. It wasn't until I called several hours later that they advised me the vehicle was received and that they would be submitting a claim to Hyundai Motors of America for the Engine. I had to continuously call to get updates as no one would contact me. I then was told that HMA was requesting service records. I emailed those records to the service advisor on 3/20/2025. I had not heard anything for about a week so I contacted the Service Manager who stated HMA is requesting additional service records. I asked why I was not informed sooner but was unable to get a real answer. I then forwarded those documents directly to the manager on 3/28/25. I was then notified on 4/1/25 that HMA had denied the claim due to negligence of the motor despite providing the requested documents as well as confirming via Hyundai's website that my vehicle was affected by the Sonata Engine Connecting Rod Bearing Inspection Recall Campaign. I was still in the intersection and light was about to change. It finally repeated the jerky movements, etc until it stopped a third time. Fortunately I was out of the intersection and along the roadside. I reflected on what had just happened a few minutes. Then I made my way back home 35 minutes slowly driving on back roads allowing cars to pass just in case it would happen again. Hello, I’m calling about the GM transmission recall recently announced in March 2025 affecting 2020 Yukon vehicles. After a very long road trip, I noticed that the rear wheel well liners had come in contact with the rear tires. I do not have the tires but I took pictures and the wheel well liners still have a hole in them. Had
... I not noticed the damage, a catastrophic failure of the tire could have resulted with unknow consequences to myself or those driving near me. The wheel well liners did not come loose or detached from the vehicle. They somehow flexed forward and made contact with the tire. The tire/wheel did not flex or move rearward. This would have required major damage to the suspension of the vehicle and the vehicle would have been undrivable. My assumption is that with the very wet road conditions, the wheel well liners became very flexible but not enough to contact the tires. At highway speeds, due to the air flow around the vehicle, it appears that the lower quarter panels flexed inwards. This allowed the now flexible wheel well liner to flex forward, due to air pressure behind the wheel well liner, and make contact with the tire. Tire tires involved are not the stock make and model but were the stock size. I will be adding a small aluminum strip to the bottom of the wheel well liner to prevent this from happening in the future.Read more

This update pertains to the original complaint (11613144) regarding windshield integrity issues on a 2024 Mazda CX-50. A new crack has occurred on [XXX], with cracks consistently radiating from the driver's A-pillar side. This pattern suggests stress fractures rather than impact damage, as initially assumed. The vehicle was taken to a Mazda dealer in Seekonk, MA, but the Mazda Service Manager deni
... ed warranty coverage without an in-person inspection, relying solely on photos taken by a trainee service advisor. These images clearly show a recurring pattern of cracks in the same area, which is concerning. Research into Mazda forums reveals numerous reports from other owners experiencing similar windshield failures, including unexpected cracking, chipping, waviness, visibility issues, and delamination. Many report quick denials of warranty assistance, similar to this case. The frequency and similarity of these reports suggest a potentially systemic issue that may be more widespread than the recent hitch recall. The manufacturer's reluctance to investigate raises serious concerns about windshield safety. After three cracks and two replacements, Mazda has not physically inspected the issue. This situation warrants a thorough investigation by NHTSA, including major glass providers and installers, to ensure occupant safety and address potential systemic failures. The lack of proper reporting and inspection by Mazda underscores the need for NHTSA intervention to protect consumers and ensure that safety standards are met. Furthermore, the consistent denial of warranty claims without adequate inspection may indicate a broader problem in how these issues are handled, potentially affecting many more vehicles than reported. This pattern of failures and lack of action by Mazda necessitates a comprehensive review to safeguard public safety. Tailgate Control Unit failed due to water entering through the seals of roof seal which resulted in damaging the functionality of the tailgate. Failure to open. I noticed one day that the tailgate would not open (the back hatch). My Honda dealership got the vehicle in rather quickly (One week). Dealership stated they have never seen this and requested repairs of over a thousand dollars. After
... further research on the issue, I noticed that there are multiple class-action lawsuits with multiple law firms. This is not an isolated issue. However, I am glad that the dealership was able to get my vehicle in and fixed in an appropriate amount of time. The worry was that just one day, the back tailgate quit working and there was no manual way to open the vehicle in case of collision, fire, or water incident and used as an escape route. With multiple class action lawsuits on the same incident, I believe this incident needs to be followed up on. Solutions: Revist the type of seal Honda is using. Move the control unit to a different location within the vehicle so the control unit will not become waterlogged and damaged. Lastly, provide a manual unlocking and opening mechanism for escape out of the rear tailgate if vehicle is involved in a collision, fire, or water event.Read more

The problem started when our car died while driving it. After a few different replacements, Kia decided to replace the entire engine under a recall. After driving the car for a short period of time, the check engine light came on. I went to check the oil and it smelled overwhelmingly like gasoline. I took it to my mechanic who said the check engine light was coming on because of the catalytic conv
... erter needing replaced. And the high pressure fuel pump was leaking gas into the oil tank. He said that both of these reasons were because the engine was replaced and they should have all been replaced simultaneously under the recall. I did look it up and there was a second recall for 2015 Kia Sorentos who had there engine replaced, that the high pressure fuel pump should be replaced because it was leaking gas into the oil tank. However, Kia told us we do not qualify for the recall because it was a different type of engine. But this is the exact same car and exact same issue, therefore I feel this should be included under the recall 17V-224.Read more
