..... ON AT LEAST 5 SEPERATE OCCASIONS OUR 2021 MAZDA CX5 SUV ACCELERATED TO A HIGH RATE OF SPEED (ON IT'S OWN). IT HAS DONE IT TO MY WIFE AND I BOTH. I CONTACTED TWO DIFFERENT MAZDA SERVICE CENTERS AND WAS ADVISED THEY HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF THIS AND THAT THERE ARE NO OPEN RECALLS OR TSB's AND AS INTERMITTENT AS IT IS IT WOULD BE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO DUPLICATE. ON JULY 18TH THE CAR ACCELERATED (ON
... ITS OWN) AGAIN BUT THIS TIME IT DROVE MY WIFE INTO A TREE AT APROX. 35/40 MPH BREAKING HER RIBS. THE BODY SHOP INFORMED ME THIS MORNING THAT THE CAR IS A TOTAL LOSS. MAZDA NEEDS TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS AND RESOLVE THIS ISSUE ASAP. THIS TIME IT WAS A TREE, THE NEXT TIME IT MAY BE AT A CROSSWALK OR AT AN INTERSECTION. IT'S JUST A MATER OF TIME UNTIL SOMEONE IS KILLED OR AT THE VERY LEAST BADLY HURT. I DON'T KNOW HOW MAZDA CAN BE UNAWARE OF THIS PROBLEM, IT'S ALL OVER THE INTERNET. OUR BODY SHOP PULLED IT UP ON LINE AND WAS SHOCKED AT THE AMOUNT OF COMPLAINTS/ CONCERNS THAT EXISTED RELATED TO THIS PROBLEM. PLEASE INVESTIGATE THIS BECAUSE THE NEXT PERSON MAY NOT BE AS FORTUNATE. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.Read more

I am unsure which component maybe failing, Vehicle has not been in altered in any way ,inspected yet, nor has any warning indicators. This 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer uses a traditional key for ignition. On several occasions now, the key is becoming lodged/stuck in the ignition when attempting to shut down or turn off the engine and remove the key. Have made sure foot is on the brake, front steerin

Have had to leave the stuck key in the ignition while grocery shopping, until returning home to ask my fiance for his help and assistance. When this problem happens it is not only an inconvenience, but leaving a key in the ignition to an unattended car, obviously is not good, and leaves opportunity for many not good possibilites to occur.Read more

When we shared this with the Toyota technician, he stated that unfortunately, the Highlander's powertrain warranty expired at 60,000 miles. I am reporting a recurring issue with the front bumper misalignment on my 2025 Toyota Camry, which may indicate a widespread manufacturing defect. Shortly after purchasing the vehicle from Toyota Direct March 2025, I noticed that the front bumper was visibly misaligned, with uneven gaps near the headlights and fender panels. On June 9, 2025, the dealership replaced the front bumper with an OEM pa
... rt. However, the new bumper still does not fit properly and continues to protrude and separate at the corners creating the potential for the bumper to become loose during operation. This affects both the appearance, aerodynamic integrity of the vehicle and an potential for accident. Multiple attempts at repair have failed to resolve the issue. After researching, I found numerous reports from other 2025 Camry owners experiencing the same bumper misalignment. Some dealership representatives have acknowledged the bumper fitment as a “known issue,” yet no official recall or technical service bulletin has been issued. Given the widespread nature of this defect and Toyota’s lack of a permanent solution, I believe this issue warrants further investigation by the NHTSA to determine whether a manufacturing or design flaw exists that could affect vehicle safety, durability, or value.Read more

The engine block of this vehicle is suspected of having a coolant loss/coolant intrusion fault per my independent, certified mechanic. Issues began about a year ago, before 70,000 miles. Several trips to the Ford dealer did not yield any helpful information. This issue started with an occasional misfire or rough idle on startup. A MIL engine scanner revealed code P0302, cylinder 2 misfire. The cod
... e was reset and the issue went away for a short period of time. However, it has been returning more frequently, and I've been stranded more than once out of fear of the engine overheating. Coolant consumption is higher than usual, and it is being replaced with approved Ford coolant only. An independent mechanic performed a few tests, the most basic being inspection of the plugs and cylinder, and noted possibility of coolant in cylinder 2 and 3. A midstream sample of the oil during an oil change was bottled and sent to a specialty laboratory for testing. The oil test confirms presence of small amounts of coolant in the used engine oil. My own research into the issue reveals there was a Ford TSB 19-2346, "Coolant in cylinders, white exhaust smoke and/or illuminated MIL," of which I was never informed by Ford as the original owner since new purchase of the vehicle in 2017.Read more

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The airbag system warning light on my 2014 Hyundai Sonata GLS has turned on. I suspect it may be related to a faulty clock spring or another issue within the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS). The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at
... risk? If the airbag system is not functioning properly, the airbags may not deploy in the event of a collision, putting my life and the safety of passengers at serious risk. This is particularly concerning as this vehicle is used for daily commuting and family travel. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? I have not yet had it diagnosed by a dealer or repair shop, but I plan to schedule a diagnostic check soon. The airbag light remains consistently on during vehicle operation, indicating a persistent fault. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No, the vehicle has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer or any third-party representative. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes, the airbag warning light illuminated on the dashboard without any prior physical impact or incident. It first appeared approximately [two days ago], and it has remained on continuously since then. Additional Information: I am aware that certain Hyundai Sonatas have been subject to airbag-related recalls, including issues with the clock spring and airbag deployment failures. Given the similarity of symptoms, I would like to know whether my vehicle may be affected by one of these recalls, or if Hyundai will provide inspection and repair support based on this known issue.Read more

Ford Motor Company Dear Ford Customer Service Team, I am writing as a highly disappointed owner of a Ford (specify model, e.g., Mustang Mach‑E), having observed a dramatic unexplained jump of over 10,000 miles on my vehicle’s odometer in just three months. Sudden mileage spike (~10,000 miles in 3 months) • I did not charge or drive anywhere near that distance. My charging logs and event logs—comprehensively detailed—show a maximum of [X] miles total for that period. • The odometer reading is simply inconsistent with verifiable usage data. 2. Likelihood of system error or tampering • Similar issues have been documented in EVs: • Tesla vehicles are currently under multiple lawsuits alleging artificially inflated odometer mileage, sometimes by as much as 15–117%—accusations that have triggered a proposed class-action in California and garnered widespread reports and press coverage . • Ford EV owners have also flagged odometer anomalies—both underreporting and overreporting, including a Ford Lightning report revealing odometer mismatch in a vehicle health report (). 3. Legal precedent and consumer protection • Odometer manipulation—even unintentional—is taken seriously under federal law (Federal Odometer Act), with strict penalties for tampering . • Odometer discrepancies significantly affect warranty eligibility and residual vehicle value. What I Want Ford to Do 1. Full refund of the prorated warranty cost, as it has been voided unfairly by incorrect mileage totals. 2. Comprehensive odometer and software audit of my vehicle. I request a certified statement of findings. 3. Corrected mileage records and warranty reinstatement based on actual usage. 4. Clear, documented communication detailing how this issueRead more

I am writing to formally raise a serious safety concern regarding a known and recurring defect in the infotainment/head unit system of my 2017 Honda Accord. Like many other Honda owners, I am experiencing unpredictable and extremely loud static or popping sounds through the speakers, which occur without warning while the vehicle is in operation. This issue significantly compromises vehicle safety
... . The sudden, blaring static drowns out critical audio alerts such as collision warnings, lane departure signals, and other safety-related notifications, placing me and others at increased risk while driving. Upon bringing this issue to a certified Honda dealership, I was informed that the head unit cannot be disconnected, as it is integrated with the vehicle’s essential safety features. In other words, I am forced to choose between enduring a hazardous and disruptive audio malfunction or disabling key safety systems entirely—an unacceptable situation for any driver, particularly in a vehicle marketed as reliable and safe. Furthermore, I was advised that the only known solution is a full replacement of the head unit, which comes at a cost of approximately $1,800 out of pocket. It is deeply concerning that Honda is expecting customers to bear the cost of repairing a defect that is both widespread and clearly rooted in manufacturing or design flaws. Given the scope and severity of this issue, I urge Honda to take immediate and responsible action by issuing a recall or providing an extended warranty repair for all affected vehicles. I am requesting a formal response regarding how Honda plans to resolve this matter in my case and ensure the safety of its customers moving forward.Read more

... d both places stated that the symptoms are mirroring the earlier recall problems. One said the spark plugs are ruined from some other issue. When I called the manufacturer they stated that it had previously been repaired on recall. I contacted the dealership where I purchased it and they told me the car was sold "as Is". The problems only got worse. The battery would go dead all of the time. I replaced it and still had the same problem. Windows wouldn't go up and down properly, sun roof would not open and close. Every time I used the blinker to turn right, the windshield wipers would turn on. Now they will not turn off at all. It also turned out that the tires had dry rot. When i went in for an oil change i was told that oil was back flowing into a part of the car that it shouldn't. Now I have to pay $300+ plus towing to have the dealership do a diagnostic so that I can ask the manufacturer to cover the cost of repairing it (again) because the first repairs done when the previous owner had it, did not work. The car is a death trap. At this point the car has been sitting until I can afford repairs because Ive been scared to death to drive it. Too many near misses, once with a semi, when the car shut down while doing almost 70mph. It should be illegal to sell this car to anyone new or used.
