The main touchscreen (MCU1) and instrument cluster on my 2014 Tesla Model S frequently freeze, reboot, or go blank while driving. Vehicle Information: Year: 2013 Make: Mercedes-Benz Model: C300 (4MATIC) Approximate Mileage: 126,026 Component: Latches/Locks/Linkages – Interior Door Handle Summary of Issue: On October 10, 2025, the interior driver-side door handle on my 2013 Mercedes-Benz C300 broke, making it impossible to open the driver’s door from the inside. The handle broke through normal use upon trying to open th
... e car door from the drivers side. The only way to exit the vehicle now is to roll down the window and reach around to use the exterior handle. On October 14, 2025, I spoke to two Mercedes-Benz dealerships in my area. They both confirmed this is a recurring problem on this model but stated there is no recall. One of them physically inspected the vehicle door problem. I believe the actual broken replacement part costs about $50. However, according to these same authorized Mercedes Benz repair shops I spoke to, Mercedes-Benz REQUIRES replacing the entire door panel assembly, which costs between $950 and $1,480 in labor and parts. This is not a reasonable or safe solution for such a critical component. This poses a serious safety hazard. In the event of a fire, collision, electrical failure, or if the windows become inoperable, the driver (myself) could become trapped inside the vehicle, leading to potential injury or death! I strongly urge the NHTSA to investigate this recurring defect, as it directly affects occupant safety and the ability to exit the vehicle in an emergency. Universal Imports, Rochester, NY – Inspected and confirmed recurring problem, no recall, verbal repair estimate $950, and Mercedes‑Benz of Rochester (West Herr Automotive), NY] – Confirmed recurring problem, verbal repair estimate $1480 Requested Action: Please investigate whether this defect warrants a safety recall or mandatory manufacturer repair campaign. The interior door handle failure on Mercedes-Benz C-Class vehicles represents a clear safety risk to occupants.Read more

In 2022, our airbag light came on. On 5/10/2022 am Airbag recall was issued and it was fixed. The airbag computer/module was fixed. We got into an accident in August of 2022, and our airbags never went off. And the airbag light has never shut off since it was “fixed” May 2022. It’s now October 2025. They said nothing was wrong with it, after bringing the vehicle in multiple times. And now a
... fter bringing it in, again in August 2025, they said the entire passenger airbag unit needs to be replace and isn’t related to the airbag recall. It’s $800+ and Kia won’t do it since the warranty has expired and it’s “not related”. Still fighting with them over it. As the airbags recall in 2022 included a defect where the Airbag Control Unit (ACU) cover can contact a memory chip, potentially deactivating the airbags. This issue affects a range of models manufactured between July 2016 and January 2019 and can result in the airbags failing to deploy in an accident. I am writing to report a recurring and potentially dangerous issue with my Kia Forte. My vehicle has randomly failed to start on multiple occasions, requiring a jump start. More concerning, it has also shut off while I was driving, which is extremely alarming and could have resulted in a serious accident. These incidents have happened several times, and I no longer feel safe driving the vehicle. I
... suspect this may be related to an electrical issue, as I am also experiencing: • Intermittent failure of the backup camera • Headlights, brake lights, fog lights, and daytime running lights failing to operate correctly • General electrical irregularities throughout the vehicle I have checked for recalls related to Kia Fortes and found that other vehicles of the same make and model have had similar issues. However, there are no active recalls for my VIN, despite experiencing the same or more severe symptoms described in those recalls. This situation is extremely concerning and I believe it warrants further investigation. I am requesting that NHTSA review this issue and consider whether additional recalls or safety investigations may be necessary for other Kia Forte owners experiencing similar electrical and engine issues. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I would appreciate any guidance on next steps or how to ensure my vehicle is properly inspected for these safety concerns.Read more

The problem is with the rear camera alerts. Sometimes, when I am backing up, it does not alert me when a person is walking in back of my car or sometimes it is a moving vehicle, and I am in reverse and slowly backing up. ... has been happening for a few months now. I forget about it, until it happens again. Today on News Break on my phone, it was informing people with 2016-2018 vehicles that there is a recall on some of these vehicles. So I called Luther Ford in Fargo and told him what happens sometimes, but not always. He told me if there was a problem with the rear camera, there would be a message in my dash warning me of a problem. Then he ran my VIN number and told me there were no recalls for my vehicle. He never took in account, that there might be something wrong with my rear camera. I don’t know if he intended to talk down to me because I am a woman, but that is the way I felt. I will never take my vehicle there again. I had stopped taking my car there before because their oil change and inspection took about 20 minutes. No one can do a thorough inspection and oil change in that time. I ended up telling him twice that “you aren’t going to help me, are you. The second time I hung up on him.Read more

On [XXX], [XXX] sat in the left rear-seat of a Cybertruck that was involved in a solo-vehicle collision. [XXX]'s impact injuries were minor. The truck caught fire. The right rear door remained mechanically openable, but its ordinary operation depended on low-voltage electronic buttons located inside the cabin and on the exterior pillar. Those buttons failed after the crash. A man tried to rescue t

The mechanical backup releases for the rear doors are concealed beneath the map pocket liner at the bottom of the doors — not feasible to find or use in the smoke, heat and chaos of a post-crash fire. This obscure release left the rear seat occupants with no practical means of egress. [XXX] died of smoke inhalation and burn injuries because he was trapped inside the Cybertruck. ICCU Failure — Severe Safety Risk and Repeated Incident The ICCU in my Hyundai has failed twice. Both times, the car suddenly and completely lost power while I was driving — no warning lights, no gradual slowdown, just total loss of control. This created an extremely dangerous situation that put me, my passengers, and everyone around us at risk. When the ICCU fails, the vehicle shuts down in

When the tow truck finally arrived, the driver instructed me to shift the car into neutral. The moment I did, the car died again and became stuck in neutral, preventing the driver from towing it. He then left, unable to assist, leaving my disabled vehicle parked on a public road — on a hill — where it posed a further safety hazard. Hyundai’s response to these failures has been temporary at best. This issue continues to reoccur, making the vehicle effectively unsafe to drive at all times.Read more

Vehicle: 2018 BMW X3 VIN: [XXX] My 2018 BMW X3 has had continuous oil and coolant leaks for several years. Major parts have already been replaced including the turbocharger, oil cooler, water pump, turbo lines, radiator hose, thermostat, and valve cover gaskets. The dealer recently confirmed my crankshaft seals are leaking. These issues are consistent with a defective Positive Crankcase Ventila

BMW issued an Extended Limited Warranty for PCV/valve cover defects on other models but said my VIN isn’t included—even though I’m experiencing the same failure pattern. This creates potential fire and safety hazards from oil leaking onto hot engine components, as well as the risk of sudden engine failure and environmental hazards from oil dripping onto roads. This has not set a DTC code as far as I know; I think the following may be related to the skipping. Once, while coming to a stop, the engine stopped or almost stopped; it bucked when it happened, but continued to run. All warning lights came on for a second or two, then went off, except 3 warning lights and the warning triangle. Although the engine was running, the tachometer and speedometer read Zero. The engine bucked as I slowly drove into a parking lot, then I restarted the engine; it seemed ok, then. About 3 weeks later, while driving at slow speed, just as I took my foot off the brake and was about to accelerate, the engine quit. When the engine quit, the audible Crash Alarm went off with a message saying the engine was not running, press the start button. I started the engine, it did not have normal power. I stopped, restarted the engine and it seemed ok. I have been to the dealer several times because of these problems; dealer is still troubleshooting the last incident. This could cause an accident, especially if it occurs at a higher speed.Read more

Unfortunately, the system will not work without the eye scanning system as it says it does and the sales rep says it will. The car has non-working safety equipment. The eye scanning system is very sensitive and constantly yelling at
