THE THIRD TIME THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY WITH A NEW ER HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY WITH UPDATED INTERNAL CIRCUITRY FROM MY CONVERSATION WITH THE FORD DEALERSHIP THIS HAD HAPPEN IN THE HIGHER END MODELS OF THE LINCOLNS THAT ARE A FEW YEARS OLD. WHY DID I HAVE TO WAIT FOR IT TO HAPPEN THREE TIMES BEFORE THEY TOLD ME IT IS AN INTERNAL DESIGN DEFECT OF THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. THE COST OF THE REPLACEMENT ASSEMBLY FOR BOTH SIDES IS AROUND $2,300. I GOT CAUGHT WITH THIS TWICE LATE AT NIGHT, I ORIGINALLY THOUGHT IT WAS THE HEADLIGHT BULBS. FORTUNATELY, I WAS STILL RELATIVELY CLOSE TO HOME, AND NOT HALFWAY INTO MY 180 TRIP I WAS STARTING OUT ON.
