I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT NOTHING HIT MY VEHICLE OR MY SUNROOF AS I WAS TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE WITHOUT ANY CAR OR TRUCK AROUND ME AT THE TIME OF THE EXPLOSION. I AM FILING THIS IN ORDER TO GET IT DOCUMENTED AND TO SEE IF ANY OTHER LEXUS OWNER HAS HAD A SIMILAR ISSUE WITH THEIR LEXUS SUNROOF. MY CONCLUSION IS THAT MY BODY WAS FORCED UPWARDS AND TORQUED TO THE LEFT DURING THE ACCIDENT WITH A FORCE EQUAL TO 20 TIMES MY BODY WEIGHT. I CONCLUDE THAT THIS CAUSED THE INJURY LEADING TO THE HERNIA. WHEN I FIRST CONTACTED LEXUS LAST NOVEMBER, I INDICATED THAT I BELIEVED THERE WAS A "SAFETY GAP" IN MY VEHICLE. MY ENGINE, WHEN IN USE, BURNS OIL. IT WILL BURN ABOUT 5 QUARTS OVER THE TIME BETWEEN OIL CHANGES. I HAVE CONTACTED LEXUS ABOUT THIS ISSUE, AND ALTHOUGH THEY (AND TOYOTA) HAVE A SERVICE BULLETIN REGARDING THE 2ZR-FXE ENGINE (THE SAME ONE FOUND IN MY CAR AND VARIOUS PRIUS MODELS) THEY'VE TOLD ME THAT THIS IS A VERY RARE ISSUE.
