This 2017 ford escape titanium with ecoboost engine suffers from coolant intrusion into the engine. The known design flaw allows coolant into the hot engine which causes cracked heads and eventually a cracked engine case. It also blows oil into the turbo and intake system that leads to engine fires. Our current recommendation from mechanics is to replace the engine, the turbocharger assembly
... and the valve cover with decontamination of the intake system. This is a known engine design flaw and ford does not recall or fix so we are out the entire value of the car. Our car currently has ~60k miles on it. So is rendered inoperative at very low mileage and has a high risk of engine fire.Read more

On XXX, my vehicle unexpectedly activated its automatic braking system while driving, resulting in a rear-end collision. My infant daughter was in the vehicle at the time. The other driver may also have sustained injuries as a r

Given the circumstances, I am deeply concerned that the condition addressed by the recall contributed to the collision. What is particularly troubling is that this was not the first time I raised concerns regarding the vehicle’s braking behavior. On February 23, 2026, at approximately 11:00 a.m., I spoke with my dealership, North Bay Hyundai in [XXX] regarding unexpected braking behavior that I was experiencing with the vehicle. My concerns were not escalated, and I was not advised that a potential safety issue might exist. Several months later, I was involved in a collision involving the same system that is now subject to recall. I am also deeply concerned by the manner in which this recall was communicated. I received only a text message regarding a defect involving a critical vehicle safety system. Given the potential consequences of unexpected braking events, I do not believe the seriousness of this issue was adequately conveyed to affected customers. This vehicle was bought brand new and has received proper maintenance from one dealership since purchasing. I had to replace the thermostat and radiator before owning the vehicle three years. Within two years of owning the vehicle, my battery went out, which I thought seemed a little early. Then shortly after, I noticed that my locks weren’t engaging when I took my car out of park. Then my ca
... r wouldn’t even lock. When I tried to do it on the door control, nothing happened, then when I used my key to do it, it caused the alarm to go off and I couldn’t get it to stop. This resolved after a day, and then it rained again, and it started again. This time, my car wouldn’t unlock and I was trapped in my vehicle and had to open the trunk to get out. This is a known issue according to GMC with no fix. I took it to the dealer, and the codes were saying BCM and told it was being replaced but instead was “serviced”. This issue has begun again, and now I’m being told the locks are the issue and not the BCM, and that may not be covered under warranty. Not being able to get out of your vehicle or not being able to lock your car is a safety issue for passengers leaving them vulnerable to theft, someone entering their car while they’re in it and hurting them. I have had so many issues out of this vehicle and I do not believe I should have to pay for a repair that is a safety issue KNOWN TO THE COMPANY. I feel unsafe driving this vehicle now and it doesn’t even have 60k on it. So I’ve estimated on the date of the first incident and the new one just Happened this week. The information about this issue can be obtained from my dealership and GMC as it is a known issue with no real fix.Read more

While parked in my driveway, the rear window exploded/shattered. I had local Ford rep come look at it, take pictures and submit to Ford for warranty coverage. The vehicle was purchased in January 2025 and has 28,888 miles - so still under warranty. Ford has denied warranty coverage. I believe this to be a safety issue and am reporting it.

I am filing a safety complaint regarding my Nissan Murano due to a recurring water leak caused by clogged sunroof/moonroof drain tubes. This problem has now happened for the third time, even after prior repairs by an authorized Nissan dealership. Water repeatedly enters the interior of the vehicle, soaking the carpets and interior areas. I am very concerned about mold and mildew developing undern
... eath the carpeting and inside the vehicle because of the trapped moisture. This creates potential health concerns for passengers and affects the safety and air quality inside the car. I am also concerned about possible electrical damage from repeated water intrusion near wiring and electronic components. The ongoing leaks have caused major inconvenience, repair expenses, and concern about the long-term reliability of the vehicle. The first repair was completed by a Nissan dealership at my own expense, yet the same issue returned multiple times afterward. After researching this problem, I found that many other Nissan Murano owners have reported similar recurring drain clogging and water intrusion issues. I believe this may indicate a design defect or inadequate drainage system that should be investigated further. I respectfully request that NHTSA review this issue for potential safety risks related to mold exposure, electrical failures, and recurring water intrusion affecting Nissan Murano vehicles.Read more

My car automatically sets itself into Neutral mode and I was rolling on the bridge at 35mph, no shoulder and no brakes or gas to move properly. I called the police but they won’t dispatch a officer unless I am in a accident or about to cause on, but they heard I am rolling at 35mph and they said from her words herself “I can’t send a officer over for your reason ma’am, are you a threat to others or about to crash? Can’t you just brake?” My car system never turned back on, I stepped my foot on the brakes all the way praying something will work as I existed the bridge onto a small shoulder. The emergency brakes came on as I keep swerving onto the grass. As everyone was going 65mph I don’t know why I wouldn’t impose as a threat if I have no control over my car from oncoming traffic. This is a very dangerous situation, and my service shop said we try to retest the issue/diagnostics but couldn’t replicate the situation and told me that my car is fine. But this isn’t the first time that happened and it also wasn’t the last. I don’t know what test they’re running but telling me it’s a simple system malfunction error every time is playing with my lifespan. Do not recommend.Read more

Formal Consumer Complaint Statement — GM / Crivelli Buick I am filing a formal consumer complaint against Crivelli Chevrolet Buick GMC and General Motors/Buick regarding what I believe was discriminatory and unfair treatment in connection with a warranty-covered vehicle repair. The vehicle had recently passed Pennsylvania safety and emissions inspection on April 30, 2026. The turbo-related diagnostic code appeared on or about [XXX]. Crivelli completed the minimum turbocharger warranty repair but then informed the customer that additional intake/manifold-related repairs were needed and would not be covered. The customer disputed this because the additional failure appeared during the same repair sequence and appears directly related to the covered turbocharger failure. A written request was faxed asking Crivelli to review the invoice, compare the repair to GM’s covered parts list, and submit the related intake/manifold issue to GM for collateral coverage, goodwill review, or warranty consideration. Crivelli did not respond to the fax notice and did not return the customer’s calls. When the customer attempted to follow up with the service department, Scott from the service department refused to review the concern, refused to provide further service, and refused to contact GM regarding the related warranty issue. Based on the conduct, tone, refusal to review the documentation, refusal to escalate to GM, and refusal to provide equal service, I believe the customer was denied fair consumer service because of race. The customer is not asking for special treatment. Incident date: May 10, 2026
Description of Defect: When the vehicle is shifted into reverse, the rearview camera display freezes for several seconds before going black. This malfunction creates a direct and serious safety hazard — during the period the display is frozen, the image shown does not reflect actual real-time conditions behind the vehicle. Any pedestrian, child, or object that moves into the path of the vehicle
... after the display freezes will not be visible to the driver. This significantly increases the risk of a backover collision. Dealership Inspection Outcome: I brought the vehicle to an authorized Ford dealership for diagnosis. Upon inspection, the technician was unable to detect the diagnostic trouble code associated with Recall 25S89, and as a result, the vehicle was deemed to have passed inspection. However, the malfunction continues to occur. The failure to trigger the recall code does not resolve the underlying issue — the camera display still freezes and blacks out during reverse operation, leaving the driver without a functioning rearview safety system. Safety Concern: A rearview camera is a federally mandated safety feature. A display that intermittently freezes and then goes dark is functionally equivalent to having no camera at all during those critical moments. This is not a minor inconvenience — it is a safety system failure that puts pedestrians and other individuals behind the vehicle at risk every time the vehicle is put in reverse. Requested Action: I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether Recall 25S89 adequately captures all failure modes associated with this defect, and whether vehicles that present with this symptom but do not trigger the associated diagnostic code are being improperly cleared at dealerships. A remedy should be identified and applied to all affected vehicles regardless of whether the recall code is detected during inspection.Read more

The vehicle has experienced recurring suspension, drivability, and pulling issues associated with the 4-corner air ride leveling suspension system since early ownership. The first major incident occurred at approximately 4,600 miles when the vehicle displayed suspension warnings and would not accelerate properly past highway speeds. Since that time, the vehicle has repeatedly experienced pulling d
... uring acceleration, unstable ride behavior, suspension/leveling concerns, alignment-related issues, and drivability instability. The problem has been reproduced multiple times and documented through approximately 16 repair visits and roughly 74 cumulative days out of service. Dealership service records include repeated suspension inspections, drivability evaluations, wheel alignments, and related repair attempts. The issue remains unresolved and the vehicle is currently back in service again for the same concern. The recurring pulling and instability create safety concerns because the vehicle does not consistently track properly during acceleration and normal driving conditions. Suspension warning messages and drivability symptoms first appeared early in ownership while the vehicle was still under factory warranty. I have also found many similar owner complaints online involving the same suspension system in comparable GM full-size SUV models.Read more

I just bought a new Ram Rebel X 2025 in September. I have 7K miles and the front tires are shot due to factory misalignment! Local dealership South Hills Dodge is ZERO HELP. I opened a case with RAM. They said…“You have to drop off your truck at the dealership before we can escalate your case to a case manager”. My truck has been sitting outside the dealership since I dropped it off on Monda
... y 4-27 and hasn’t moved!! The dealership initially said they would cover an alignment under warranty free of charge but not cover 2 new tires which were caused by the misalignment. They then told me I would have to open a case with RAM in order to get the tires paid for. In the meantime, I asked the service manager if he could get me the current alignment readings. He then lied to me and told me they weren’t able to take the current alignment measurements due to the fact that the front tires were so badly worn. I then took it to my local mechanic to get the current alignment readings without fixing anything so I could have this sheet for my records. It not only shows the toe being out of spec on both front tires but shows the Caster being out of spec. Therefore it was set that way when I purchased the vehicle brand new back in September. I talked to my case manager who was never able to get ahold of the dealership!! I was also never able to get a response to multiple questions through their text service. Finally they reach out after my vehicle sat for 4 days and say I have to pay 19.95 for a tire rotation in order to do the alignment. I then chose to take my vehicle to Jim Shorkey and they fix some recalls and RRTs but “needed to talk w case mgr about tire coverage” So then I have it out with this case manager about the amount of time and money I’ve wasted so far and in a nutshell he tells me that the first dealer said tires were not covered under warranty so they can’t cover them! Basically I was sent in a circle of wasted time by RAM corporation “customer service”!!!Read more

My 2021 Tesla Model Y HW3 experienced complete failure of all cameras, GPS, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Adaptive Cruise Control following the installation of software update 2026.8.6.1 — the OTA remedy update issued by Tesla for NHTSA Recall 26V283000. The vehicle was fully functional prior to this update. The failure was confirmed and reproduced by Tesla's authorized service center. The s
... ervice advisor confirmed in writing: "During the update, the computer failed to reboot properly. We attempted to perform a 12V reset but unfortunately it is still stuck in the boot loop state." The Autopilot ECU (Primary/Turbo A) is stuck in a permanent boot loop and cannot be recovered by software means. Safety impact: All cameras including rearview camera are completely non-functional. Automatic Emergency Braking and all ADAS features are disabled. The vehicle cannot safely detect obstacles or pedestrians. GPS navigation is frozen. Tesla has confirmed the computer requires replacement but is classifying it as a customer-pay repair citing expired warranty, despite the failure occurring during Tesla's own recall remedy software deployment. This vehicle meets every technical criterion of Recall 26V283000 — HW3 hardware, 2021 Model Y, software version 2026.8.6.1, complete camera failure — but does not appear in the recall VIN database. I am requesting NHTSA review whether this VIN should be included in recall 26V283000 or a related investigation.Read more
