On November 19, 2021, I purchased a vehicle from cars Lane on Hanover Road in Annapolis Maryland. Upon driving back to my residence in Gaithersburg I noticed that there was significant shaking when the vehicle was driven over 60 miles an hour. I notified the dealership and seemed helpful at first. I took the car to a good year facility and pay to have an alignment. That seem to fix one of the issu

It also made a loud whining noise. I contacted the dealership again and told them of this problem. I have been out to the dealership several times upon realizing they do not have a mechanic on duty and whoever passed inspection on this car should be investigated. There is no way that this car should've passed inspection. The last time I went to the dealership upon talking with the owner I was told to bring the car in and they would take a look at it. Looking at it was all they did. I noticed that [XXX] was on the phone with the warranty people trying to determine if the items that I complained about were covered under the warranty. The woman on the phone informed him that they only covered a certain point of the cost. Now I have come to find out that this car has over $17,000 worth of work to be done. I would like to make a formal complaint about this dealership, its representative [XXX] and the mechanic that allegedly passed this vehicle for inspection. I welcome the opportunity to speak with you and supply you with all the necessary documentation concerning this matter. I have included a copy of the estimate from the Lexus dealership in Rockville, Maryland. The Power steering had started to feel hard and squeaking some time ago. I was driving day before yesterday and I noticed a few times that the steering was very difficult to turn which could have been dangerous. Also, when stopped at a stoplight and resuming acceleration, the rain sensor does not pick up rain at low, medium, or heavy rain and does not engage the wipers. Again, the user must re-engage the wiper system by turning it on and off again multiple times while driving over and over again, multiple times during a trip. I went in and they say they look at it. so it turns out that they have to order the part. I forgot what the part was called. I waited for my warrenty check up and I even called them the day before I went in to the shop to have it fix and the people that fix car told me over the phone that yes the part for my brakes are in. So I went in and after they were done with the car I ask the technician or who was fixing my car to see if they got my brakes fix. He told me that he didn't even touch the brakes because they have fix it last time I was there. I try explaining my whole suggestion with him but all he said was they fix it last time and that's it. I came home again with same problem. I live in la crosse wi and I go to Madison. So they been dodging me about my brakes. Now it's 2022 and I'm stuck with the same problem but now it don't happen on cold start only. Now it's every time when I press on my brakes that the nosie comes on. I try changing my brakes pads but same thing happen. I haven't try buying new rotor. But EVERY time I press on my brakes it squeeks now. Even in the summer. Lexus won't do anything about it. I read online and alot of people have the same problem like me. And turst me it's not the brake dust I'm 200% sure about it. You guys should really take a look into this and help me out. I am writing about my 2022 Lexus ES300h. This pertains to the Auto Radar Cruise Control system and also the Lane Keeping Assistance function. First, about the Auto Cruise. On several occasions I have found that while approaching stopped vehicles at a stop light and I am about 300 yards away, driving 35 to 40 mph, the car maintains speed and approaches the stopped vehicles in a dangerous manner. ... shows no sign of slowing down. Twice I let the auto cruise do what it was doing till about say 100 yards before the vehicles, and it still maintained aggressive speed so I had to hit the brakes. It seems like the vehicle is oblivious of the stopped vehicles in front, and in my opinion, behaves recklessly. And yet at other times it does sense those vehicles and starts slowing down. There is no consistency. Someone at Lexus said that while the car seems aggressive, it will surely stop in time and not get into a collision when the Auto-Cruise is on. Well, I am absolutely not willing to experiment and put my life and that of others at risk. Surely this radar cruise system is primitive. I also own a 2018 Tesla Model 3, and feel extremely safe and secure with its Auto-Cruise function. The second issue is regarding Lane Keeping Assistance. Again, with the Tesla, the car stays rock steady in the middle of the lane with AutoPilot. Whereas with my Lexus, the car behaves like it has had a couple of drinks, wanders around in the lane, even gets on yellow lines in the center of the road and then buzzes me about it like it was my fault! When we first bought the Tesla it used to weave around in lanes especially when a lane suddenly widens like when two lanes merge, but with progressive software updates, the early problems have been corrected. I find it ironical that Lexus is a few years behind Tesla in this technology. I realize of course that it is only an assist system and I am responsible for steering the car.Read more

INABILITY TO OPEN THE TRUNK FROM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE (THERE IS NO EMERGENCY TRUNK RELEASE IN THIS VEHICLE, POWER ASSISTED TRUNK RELEASE DISABLES MECHANICAL DOOR OPENING AFTER BATTERY FAILURE). 2. ENGAGED CHILD LOCKS DID NOT RELEASE WITH BATTERY FAILURE, SO PASSENGER DOORS WERE ALSO NON

WHILE CLIMBING INTO THE BACK SEAT, I INADVERTENTLY SLID THE CHILD LOCK LEVER ON THE SIDE OF THE DOOR PANEL INTO THE LOCKED POSITION. I REMOVED THE HEADRESTS TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE TRUNK BECAUSE THE TRUNK DOOR COULD NOT BE OPENED FROM THE EXTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE. I THEN NOTED THAT THERE IS NOT EMERGENCY TRUNK RELEASE LEVER IN THE TRUNK AREA. ONCE THE PASSENGER DOOR CLOSED, THE ONLY EXIT FROM CAR WAS THE FRONT DOORS. WORSE STILL, THE CAR HORN IS DISABLED WITH BATTERY FAILURE, ELIMINATING THE POSSIBILITY OF SIGNALING FOR HELP. Luckily, I was able to move to the left-hand lane and avoid a collision. This occurred on February 13, 2022 AutoZone pulled the following codes: C1241, C1252-Hydro-booster pump motor malfunction, C1253-Hydro-booster pump motor relay malfunction, C1256-Accumulator low-pressure malfunction, C1311-Open circuit in main relay 1, and C1391-Abnormal leak of ACC PRESS (All except C1241 are related to the braking system) No one has inspected the component. I was able to locate NHTSA Recall Bulletin Reference #10V039000 (SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:ANITILOCK:CONTROL UNIT/MODULE) that references Lexus HS250h models manufactured up to February 2010, yet my VIN doesn't pull up this bulletin when searching the database even though it was manufactured in February of 2010.Read more

... Lexus of Bellevue. They told us that there was an issue with the driver side airbag harness. Something about tension on it or it Deteriorating. The dealership is now saying that my car is not safe. That none of the safety features airbags or seatbelts will work due to this light being on. They will not be covered because there is no recalls for this harness. I have done much research online this is a common well known issue with Lexus. Now my car is a paperweight. I do not feel safe driving my family or disabled family member in this vehicle. This part is located under the dash and has absolutely nothing to do with how me and my husband maintain or take care of our vehicle. This is Lexuses issue and should be addressed and recalled. Any help in where or how to address this further. Or any help and how to take this higher would be appreciated. At this point is my car totaled? Safe to be on the road? Ok to be insured? They are charging us 200, just to tell us the issue. Not to fix it, didn’t even take the dash apart. How do they know even know what the issue is without taking it apart? My Lexus GS430 has a fuel rail leak that is leaking into the engine bay and has a strong smell of fuel into the cabin of the car. It is especially strong in the cabin when the heat or air conditioning is utilized. It is extremely dangerous and after researching I have found that it a problem with several of the Lexus lines of cars built around the 2006-2008 models.

About 1 year later, the vehicle started having serious mechanical issues related to the power of the vehicle and put my life in danger on 3 different occasions. The vehicle has a serious problem with losing power. The very first time that this problem occurred, I was in the left only lane attempting to make a left turn. When it was safe to do so and t
... here was enough distance between me and the nearest vehicle driving in the opposite direction, I pressed on the accelerator to make a left turn and my vehicle suddenly lost almost complete power. I had the accelerator pressed all the way to the floor and the vehicle was barely moving like 3-5 miles per hour. Me and the other vehicle that was coming kind of fast in the opposite direction almost got into a head on collision. I would have very easily and safely, without even rushing, cleared the intersection and completed the left turn had this not happened. After collecting myself from the terrifying experience I just went through and having my life flash before my eyes, pulled over and called Lexus Roadside. They came and towed the vehicle to the dealer. The dealer kept the vehicle for some time, but was not able to duplicate the problem and told me that there is nothing with the vehicle. Regardless of how much I insisted that they do further tests, they refused and told me that the mechanic he driven it home at night and back in the morning and could not duplicate the issue and that if I didn't come to pick up the vehicle, they would park it on the street where it would be subject to tow. After picking it up and literally after about 20 minutes of driving it, almost the same thing happened while I was on the freeway on my way home. The vehicle lost power again and I almost got into an accident. A similar incident occurred the third time. Took the vehicle to service 3 times. Brand engagement has not done a single thing. Lemon Law Department denied the case. Been paying.Read more
