And that I discovered the defective seal, I also sent pictures detailing the claim. They however refuse to except responsibility for the problem. Note as the windshield cracks further it can weaken the integrity of the glass. This could become very dangerous if left unattended.Read more

It seems as this comes in as a common issue with heated seats. The wiring harness Carrie’s only 1 ground wire to transmit connection to the heated seat module. Woke up the next day, took it to the dealership and the car is working fine. I showed one of the service reps the video and he stated they cant fix the car because there is no issue coming up in the computer. At the time the mileage was 46,313. After this incident it didn’t happen again. However after 60k miles when I drove over 6-7hrs the problem came up again. I almost got in an accident because the car didn’t slow down and stop. I called the lexus headquarters and they communicated with the same dealership to look into it. My car is at the dealership right now and don't know if they will find the issue and if it will get fixed. I don't feel safe driving this car because of the close encounters Ive had to an accident. ... state-mandated annual inspection, the inspector immediately notified me something is wrong with the steering rack and wouldn't pass inspection, and I should take the car to a mechanic. Manual examination of the car revealed no issues with physical parts, and alignment check also had no issues. So I had another appointment for the electrical system, which diagnosed that the EPS (electrical power steering) sensor is failing, giving inaccurate readings, pulling too much to left and "skipping" on right. They informed me this was a known issue with all 2013/2014 Honda Accords, and I have to spend $3000+ to replace the entire steering rack. Upon further research, I became aware that there have been thousands of complaints filed with NHTSA regarding the same issue, and there is a service bulletin 15-056 extending the EPS sensor warranty to 13 years. So I took my car to a Honda dealer. The technician and the service advisor both recognized the exact same symptoms as described by bulletin 15-056 and recommended the same $3000+ repair to replace the steering rack. However, they said this will NOT be covered by the extended warranty due to lack of DTC codes. She suggested maybe driving around more until I get a code, which according to the technician, only happens upon a catastrophic failure of the torque sensor. I contacted American Honda, and my request for coverage was out-right rejected. Only 41k miles on the car and had been so scared driving since issue started. At about 165-170,000 miles Lexus dealer advised leaking oil from timing chain area. Apparently it is a known issue from this engine (both CT200h and Prius) suffer from this issue. Didn't realize there is a TSB but since way out of warranty and not a recall they offered to fix for $3500. The danger is especially severe if the reversing vehicle needs to turn to the driver's right side, where the left front tire will travel in a larger radius than the left rear tire, potentially striking or crushing any small pedestrian standing next to the vehicle's driver's side. According to Lexus service representative this is a known defect and has been upgraded by Lexus to a solid metal line at failure only but only for a specific amount of time. (Evidently the vehicle was manufactured with a part metal and part rubber coolant line that split on the rubber portion of the line.) Seems to me that this should have been a recall to prevent major damage to the vehicle and during driving hazard to consumer as the vehicle would stopped completely as oil would be blown out completely. My cost was estimated and paid for at $695.00. I think this should have been a recall.Read more

Oil poured out under vehicle under right side passenger side from oil cooler line overnight in my garage. Lexus stated that I was lucky that this did not occur while driving as oil would have blown completely out due to the pressurized line and damaged the engine. There was no warning lights on.
