I will be accelerating or driving through traffic (coming on and off the gas), the car will lurch several times, and then the gas pedal will stop working and the car loses all acceleration. I have had all other required maintenance performed, checks performed, etc. I have taken it to the dealer where I leased the vehicle twice. They have not been able to replicate the issue. I'm not sure what this means, "is it available for inspection upon request" but if someone wanted to inspect it, absolutely it's available. The car completely stops accelerating, foot to the floor on the gas pedal and no acceleration happens. This happened to me on 4 separate occasions at 5-10mph, 30mph, 40mph, and once at 60mph at exactly the busiest and heavily trafficked highway in my area that has accidents on a daily basis. It's extremely dangerous. I have taken the car in twice, am scheduled for a third visit. They've kept it for multiple days both times and haven't been able to replicate the issue. The vehicle/component has NOT been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others There were no other warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. When the car is driven over 35/40mph the vehicle now shakes along with it stopping to function while driving. Even with chevrolet verifying that the transmission is bad(which is the recall on Tahoe models from the same year of production) they refuse to acknowledge it is all models unless it's on a specific list of vin numbers. They refuse to replace the transmission recall at no cost according to the current recall that was done already for this year make and model. I've had all engine tune up maintenance requirements done and have not missed any vehicle scheduled maintenance this vehicle year make and model is on the recall list and I've attached the copy of it to show proof of the record. The record was provided by chevrolet, along with the record of NHTSA recalls to show this is the same year make and model but the vin isn't included, as well as the recalls they listed to show that zero apply to this vehicle when this is clearly the same exact symptoms listed on the recall but this vin isn't listed when it should be if the same exact symptoms are failing on the vehicle with maintenance kept up.Read more

Lexus Dealer/Service Shop advised a charge of $145 to look for diagnostic codes C1391, C1252, C1256, C1253. If they find these codes, then they will check the extended warranty to determine if they will charge you or not under their customer support program which really doesn't tell the car owner one way or another. The service adviser said only a Lexus authorized dealer can check for the diagnostic codes and can't be obtained from a traditional code reader at retail outlets such as Autozone, or OReilly, etc. The issues with the Brake Booster and Brake Booster Pump Assemblies sounds like a critical issue with deadly affects if not looked into. Model 2507S Trailer, Suburban 6gal Gas/Elec Water Heater. Has been out 4 times since new last summer. Last trip lasted 5 weeks. When setting up at camp, open up trlr and operate Water heater on Gas, with any kind of winds from Drivers side rear quadrant, The CO - Propane detector goes off, and readings of up to 350ppm of CO (no gas odorant noted). Gas heater is shut off as unit is emptied of
... personnel, and ventilated (upper bath vent fan, and external fan in door), for 20 minutes. This is NOT a gas leak as soapy water on joints do NOT bubble on all exposed joints and no odorant smell in or around unit. The Water heater sits about a foot aft of the one slide out. Seals are in good shape on the slide out. Inspection of the Water heater body and trim cover, shows a few gaps that could very well allow exhaust gases into the interior. Note that DIRECTION of Wind is important here. Any winds from the Front or passenger side DOES NOT cause the CO Detector to sound. Winds from 90 deg on Driver side to 180 (back) causes CO Detector to sound. Levels seen on Detector are 5 to 7 times the OSHA 8hr weighted maximum exposure of 50ppm. Feel this is a design defect as the slide out may be causing a blocking of exhaust (lack of draft) out of the front cover, and the exhaust is getting blown internally. Trip lasted from 3-22-24 to 04-25-24. Electric side of Wtr Htr was used exlcusively after noting problem. No injuries occured.Read more

The vehicle was not repaired but was driven back to the residence. The contact's son who is an independent mechanic was able to bring a special machine needed to remove the lug nuts and repaired the vehicle. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the failure was a known issue. The manufacturer also advised the contact to bring the vehicle to the nearest dealer which was 60 miles away from the residence for the service. The failure mileage was approximately 49,620.Read more

... aneuver the car over 2 lanes in heavy traffic to the rumble strip between 4 lane highway and a 2 lane acceleration entrance ramp. We came within seconds of being hit which could have been a very serious accident. Since the car had no power we weren't even able to get to the right shoulder. We had to sit in the vehicle over 2 1/2 hours waiting for a tow surrounded by high speed traffic on both sides. The cause of engine failure was a defective Thermo Control Valve, diagnostic code P26A6. Subaru recently issued an extended warranty in April for the TCV which is present in many of its vehicles. It should be a RECALL and not just an extension of the warranty since failure can be quite serious resulting in the engine completely shutting down. We had NO previous warning that the car was at risk for unexpected stopping. Car is well maintained with only 34,608 miles (2019 model) and had been in the shop the DAY before the incident getting routine car service. The service manager knew what the problem was by description before even performing the necessary interrogation for diagnostic codes. He was able to get the vehicle to start and drive it into the dealer repair shop by simply removing the TCV before starting. We were the 3rd vehicle in that day for replacement of TCV. He stated they replace 5-10 a week although most present with a check engine light and some with other warnings such as eyesight disabled. The factory original TCV has been replaced with a reportedly revised TCV. Risk of engine failure without warning as result of faulty TCV is putting lives at risk.Read more

The dealership service center confirmed that the ABS Module is bad, and requires replacement. The component is still under warranty, so the dealership ordered the module. The dealership stated in December that the component is "on backorder," but should be available by March 2024.
