Upon this failure without any warning peice of the braking system connected to the engine shoots shrapnel into my engine and causes the cam to be destroyed. They worked on the car all day and we were called in the late afternoon to pick up. It was explained to us that GM advised their mechanics to restart the computer that controls that component and that the problem should be fixed. We were also told they were going to go ahead and order a replacement part in case "it happened again." This comment did not leave us with much confidence. Then, as we were checking out, the employee noticed there was no explanation of what had been done to the vehicle. He called the mechanic and said he refused to hand over the keys until notes were added explaining what was done to address this serious issue. So notes were made, copies were handed over, and off we went. The truck drove perfectly until exactly one week later when the dash lit up again with all kinds of alerts and lights stating, "Brake System Failure" and "Service ESC." That's right, no brakes again. We had the truck towed back to the dealer this time and we have been told they have ordered "the part" and it will probably be 3 weeks. That was one week ago and we have not heard anything yet. Fuse box has a defect causing the AC blower motor to intermittently not work. Appears to be the result of loose connections between the fuse box and the fuse itself. The receptacle for the fuse is clearly burnt/melting, and appears to pose as a fire hazard as a result.
