Brake actuator makes a shriek when I engage the pedal. Problem is ongoing and applies to 2015-2019 Lexus RX450 Hybrid models. Problem is getting worse, and I am afraid of brake failure. Lexus has been repairing this problem, gratis, for owners under their Customer Support Program 23LE04. I contacted Lexus and was told that Hawaii-based Lexus Vehicles are part of the Japan Dealer Network and to con
... tact them. I made an appointment and the car was inspected on April 16, 2026. The outcome was that Lexus of Hawaii/Japan will not repair my vehicle unless I pay $4,000 for a new brake booster pump assembly /labor. Lexus of N. America is covering this repair for 10 years or 150,000 miles, but they refuse to honor it here in Hawaii.Read more

While driving on [XXX] in [XXX] with my young child in the vehicle, my 2023 Lexus RX 350 F Sport suddenly lost acceleration. The vehicle initially would not accelerate beyond 50 mph and then progressively lost power, eventually being unable to accelerate beyond 40 mph. This occurred during rush-hour traffic, with vehicles traveling faster than me and passing closely. I attempted to move farther o
... nto the shoulder because I felt unsafe being so close to traffic, but the vehicle became completely unable to drive. I had to stop and attempt to determine what was wrong with the vehicle. There were no warning lights, dashboard warnings, or notifications through the Lexus app before or during the incident. I had driven approximately 200 miles that day and had not noticed any unusual noises, odors, and nothing sounded abnormal prior to the failure. The vehicle had been regularly serviced every 5,000–10,000 miles. Its most recent service was in late March 2026, four months before this incident, and I was not informed of any transmission problems at that time. The vehicle had 80,000 miles at the time of the failure, and the scheduled transmission service/check was not due until 90,000 miles. The vehicle was taken to Lexus for diagnosis. Lexus determined that the transmission needed to be replaced and is holding my vehicle as transmissions are on back order. Lexus has agreed to cover the replacement transmission and is charging me $1800 for labor costs. I am reporting this incident because the sudden loss of acceleration and eventual complete loss of the ability to drive occurred while traveling on a freeway with a child in the vehicle and surrounding traffic, creating a significant safety concern. This is a common issue on the TX350. The
... windshields are on long back orders for a genuine Lexus part. We are having our second windshield replaced on XXX at the Lexus dealer. I am of the opinion that this issue should be looked into by NHTSA for a potential recall and improved manufacturing process for future original equipment and genuine Lexus replacement. Our TX350 will be available for inspection on XXX at Parker Lexus in Little Rock Arkansas. The approximate cost to replace the windshield is $1850.00. We are not claiming the windshield on our insurance for this replacement for fear of potentially being cancelled by our insurance company. The rain-sensing wiper system in my 2023 Lexus RX has been inoperative since I purchased the vehicle in May 2023 (current mileage: approximately 55,000 miles). The automatic wipers consistently fail to activate in response to rain, requiring manual operation while driving — a dangerous distraction that significantly reduces safety, especially during heavy rainfall when visibility is already comp
... romised. This defect has been present since the day of purchase and is therefore a manufacturing defect, not a wear-and-tear issue. Lexus has since officially confirmed this through TSB L-SB-0025-25, which specifically addresses rain-sensing wiper failure in certain 2023 RX models. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Rather than visiting a dealership, I filed a complaint directly with Lexus Customer Care after discovering through owner forums that multiple dealerships had been unable to diagnose or repair this issue, with all repair requests being turned away. A case number was assigned by Lexus Customer Care, documenting that this defect was reported within the warranty period. No warning lamps or dashboard messages appeared at any point. The system simply never functioned correctly from the time of purchase. Although the vehicle's warranty limit is 50,000 miles, this defect existed from the manufacturing stage and was formally reported to Lexus well within the warranty period. I believe this repair should be covered regardless of the current mileage, and I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this matter.Read more

In August 2025, my Kia dealership serviced my 2021 Kia Telluride and billed me for 7 quarts of oil as part of the repair. The dealership diagnosed the failure as a collapsed timing tensioner and stated the engine required complete replacement. Kia Techline agreed with that diagno
... sis and used it as the basis for recommending a new engine. Despite acknowledging that engine replacement was necessary, Kia denied warranty coverage, leaving me responsible for an estimated $11,000 repair. I then obtained a second opinion from an independent, reputable repair facility. After inspecting the vehicle, the shop concluded the engine failure was not caused by a timing system failure. Instead, they found the engine contained only about one quart of oil and determined the damage resulted from oil starvation. They further stated that, in their professional opinion, the dealership had misdiagnosed the vehicle and that the low oil level was consistent with the possibility that the dealership failed to add the oil for which I was charged during the August 2025 service. What is especially concerning is that the dealership never documented or informed me that the engine was critically low on oil. Because the timing components rely on engine oil for lubrication, I believe it would have been impossible to properly inspect and diagnose a timing tensioner failure without recognizing and documenting the severely low oil level. Based on the independent inspection and the dealership's failure to identify or disclose the lack of oil, I believe the dealership either failed to perform the service as billed or failed to correctly diagnose the true cause of the engine failure. I am concerned that this incorrect diagnosis diverted attention from possible negligent workmanship during the prior service and led to an unnecessary recommendation for an $11,000 engine replacement.Read more

THROTTLE LAG With the 2026 Mercedes CLE 300, throttle lag is driven by a combination of software programming, transmission behavior, and turbocharger dynamics working simultaneously. The following situation is when it usually occurs:Transitioning from a slow roll up a ramp (like the parking ramp at my condo) or pulling away from an intersection or traffic light or stop sign, you can catch the power
... train in its most vulnerable window for lag.:At low speeds, the combination of specific mechanical and software factors makes that hesitation much more pronounced:or a dead stop, the 9-speed transmission is usually sitting in 1st or 2nd gear. When you need a sudden burst of power to climb a ramp or clear an intersection, (or the pedestrian I alluded to in our conversation), the transmission has to evaluate the demand, disengage the current gear, shift down or match revs, and re-engage. That mechanical shuffle takes a second, but it feels like an eternity. (It’s much more than a second because I will have to put the accelerator all the way down to the floor in order to get a response from the car.•:Torque Converter Slip and Creep Logic: Modern automatic transmissions use torque converter slip to keep low-speed crawling smooth and prevent the car from lurching. When you "goose" the throttle from a crawl, the system has to transition from slip-and-creep mode to locked-up acceleration, which dampens the immediate bite of power to the wheels.:Here are the primary causes behind the hesitation: •Drive-by-Wire Throttle Calibration: Modern Mercedes models use an electronic throttle pedal tuned heavily for fuel efficiency, low emissions, and smooth passenger comfort. The computer deliberately dampens initial pedal inputs to prevent aggressive power surges, creating a physical "dead zone" at the top of the pedal travel. This the precise problem I have. Not enough space to write more. This has been refused by MBUSA,Alerted to me by theNCDS.Read more

Live data captured at idle in park shows 7.98 Nm of driver steering input with 0.00 Nm of assist torque and 0 amps of system current draw, confirming assist was fully inactive. Battery voltage was steady at 14.1 to 14.2 volts throughout, ruling out a supply or ground fault. The module also reports an implausible internal temperature reading while drawing no current, indicating an internal electronics fault rather than a genuine thermal event. This is a non-hybrid, front-wheel-drive vehicle. Intermittent loss of steering assist at speed presents a crash risk. I purchased a brand new 2025 Lexus with only 3 miles recently I had a nail in my tire and took my vehicle to a local tire shop who could not removed the tire to put a patch because I did not have tire lock key; we searched the vehicle from top to bottom one was never given to me at the time of purchase. I contacted Lexus of Palm Beach several times and left a message for my service advisor BK
... and texted BK no response and several messages for the service manager who to this date has never called me back, finally BK told me that “Lexus had a new system and he didn’t received the messages” I reside in [XXX] and BK promised to coordinate with the dealership I provided him for me to obtain a tire lock key, this was June and I never heard back from BK. Last night I had issues with a different tire late at night and because I could not remove the tire I had to have my vehicle towed. However upon requesting Lexus tow company I had to wait 198 hours in for help by myself in a closed business parking lot for AAA called by the Lexus Roadside Assistance. Lexus has placed me in a life endangering situation. I am now stranded at my house with an inoperable vehicle and cannot go to work; the local dealership in Tampa does not have any appointments; this could have been avoided if not for the negligence of Lexus. Review the roadside service ticket which has my contact information I am requesting an immediate call from the dealership of Lexus of Palm Beach 5700 Okeechoobee Blvd West Palm Beach FL 33417.
