The rear undercarriage of this vehicle shows heav
... y structural corrosion on suspension brackets and mounts. The condition produces clanging noises during normal driving, and an independent licensed mechanic has refused to work on the vehicle because the suspension integrity is unsafe. When I returned the vehicle to the dealer, I observed additional brackets being attached under the rear subframe area, suggesting reinforcement of compromised structural points. This confirms that the corrosion directly affects suspension geometry, alignment, and stability. This corrosion is not cosmetic. It is advanced structural deterioration affecting the mounting points for trailing arms and lateral links. These components are critical to safe turning, stability, and control. The corrosion compromises the ability of the suspension to keep the wheels aligned, creating serious risks of loss of control or wheel separation. What makes this more alarming is that the vehicle passed a New York State safety inspection on 07/13/2025, yet within days a mechanic refused to perform unrelated service because of the undercarriage condition. This raises questions not only about inspection validity, but also about the underlying durability and corrosion. Hello, I own a 2015 Lexus NX200T. On 9/13/2025 I was pulling into a spot to park, going slow at maybe 4-5 mph, my vehicle suddenly violently accelerates on its own. I had to slam multiple times on the brakes to avoid killing two pedestrians right in front of my vehicle. I was in seconds of killing them and pinning them between the vehicle that was in front of me. I did everything in my power to ke
... ep hitting the breaks as hard as I could until it stopped within inches of the two pedestrians. This was extremely dangerous and could have killed a mother and daughter in that split second. This appears to be a case of unintended acceleration, which I understand is a serious safety issue. I've been told by both the dealership and Lexus that because no damage occurred, it's not their problem. But this is clearly a safety defect, not just a maintenance issue. I would like Lexus to take this very seriously. I was shaken and very scared. I have NEVER had this happen before. Lexus suggested that the floor mats may have got caught - NO absolutely not. I have the mats locked in place with clips. I did not hit the accelerator instead of the breaks as that is what is assumed. No external damage occurred, but the unintended acceleration was violent. This incident took control away from me. Even though no accident occurred this time, the potential for injury or death is very high. I contacted Lexus and the dealership, but both declined to inspect the vehicle, stating it was not their issue because no damage occurred. I believe this a very serious safety defect that should be investigated. I am requesting NHTSA to investigate this potential defect in the Lexus NX200T model. If other owners experience the same, this could indicate a widespread safety problem. I was very lucky I did not kill anyone; it would have changed the day's events forever for the lives of two innocent people and myself. I don't feel safe to drive the vehicle after this incident in fear that it could happen again.Read more

Recently took my vehicle in to get the brakes check and inspected. Technician at Mercedes Benz noticed a fuel leak in the upper fuel line. But it seems that my vin wasn’t in the recall. I contacted Me

I ordered this van brand new and picked all the options. I have no doubt that my van some how missed this recall due to Mercedes absolute incompetence as I have had to deal with their incompetence to the full extent to the point where corporate actually awarded me a $1000 check to compensate for my bad experience And now they are trying to charge me over $1000 for this fix when it is clearly a recall.. please help. I had actually noticed the gasoline smell in the cockpit and when I exit the vehicle for over a year. When I asked the Mercedes technician about this they told me it was from installing the new fuel pump that had been recalled and that it would go away. I purchased my 2019 Ford Expedition Max Limited on [XXX]. When we purchase the vehicle we signed a notice that we would have the recalls completed within a reasonable time. I took my vehicle for the recall to Feyer Ford in Edenton, North Carolina on May 30th. Prior to the recall I was having no issues at all with the vehicle. Once I pick the vehicle up on [XXX] and started my traveling home. Withi
... n 10 minutes of leaving, the vehicle made a loud screeching noise. The wrench light came on, and the vehicle seemed to not accelerate forward. I was able to pull off the road and turn the vehicle off. I called Feyer Ford to make them aware of the problem and they told me that it was because the PCM had been reprogrammed and would need to relearn how I drive. I had the same issue happen again further down the road, this is a very serious safety hazard that my vehicle suddenly stopped moving forward in traffic. I called Feyer Ford once again and was told that I had to drive the vehicle 1,000 miles before the PCM would relearn my driving patterns. I took the vehicle in on June 4th to have it checked out and was told that I would need a valve body replacement and torque converter replacement. That essentially my transmission was bad. Since that date the vehicle has gone into reverse numerous times when I put it in Drive, it will also get stuck in 4th 7th or 10th gear when you are trying to drive it in a parking lot or going slow on the road. When it gets stuck in those gears the vehicle will not go forward it will only allow you to go backwards. My car has been at Feyer Ford since July 29 trying to have the warranty cover the fix, but it was denied for warranty coverage because they stated the vehicle was broken by the recall. We were told we could pick up our un-fixed vehicle on Aug 27. We got the key and proceeded to leave only to find the car not put back together from a different seat belt recall. It is still at Feyer Ford today, September 6th 2025. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA),Read more

Vehicle: 2017 Honda Pilot VIN: [XXX] Mileage at failure: 111000 Summary of Issue: My 2017 Honda Pilot suffered a sudden engine failure diagnosed by a Honda dealer as internal damage due to a failed connecting rod bearing. This is the same failure mode documented in Honda TSB 23-097 / Safety Recall for other Pilot model years (2016, 2018–19), but my 2017 VIN was excluded. Circumstances of Fail
... ure: While driving, I first noticed a loud knocking/tapping sound from the engine, followed by reduced power and rough running while getting on the freeway. Within a very short time, the vehicle became difficult to drive and stalled. It had to be taken to a Honda dealership. The technician confirmed a failed rod bearing causing internal engine damage. The failure occurred without warning lights or prior indications, and if it had happened at highway speed, it could have led to a sudden loss of power and increased crash risk. Details: Dealer diagnosis: rod bearing failure requiring engine replacement. Repair estimate: over $13,000 (engine replacement + related service items). Vehicle has been maintained meticulously (full synthetic oil every 5–7K miles, AT fluid every 20K miles, recommended timing belt service). Honda America declined goodwill assistance, citing lack of Honda-dealer service records, even though independent/self-service maintenance records are available. Safety Concern: Rod bearing failure is a serious safety defect that can cause sudden loss of engine power while driving, posing a crash risk to the driver, passengers, and others on the road. Context: In Nov 2024, NHTSA opened an investigation into expanding the recall to include additional model years (including the 2017 Pilot) after more than 170 similar failures were reported outside current VIN coverage. My vehicle appears to be another case of this same defect, not yet included in the recall. Request: Please investigate and consider expanding the recall to include the 2017 Honda Pilot. Unknown which component exactly as it does not throw a fault. I believe it to be transmission related as the behavior seems like a clutch to me, but dealership has not been able to confirm. Vehicle rolls freely in directions other than what is selected and does not respond to throttle input. Described the issue to dealer numerous times and they claim to have seen it. I do not believe they actual
... ly have. It is currently at the dealer for the fourth time about the issue. Currently claiming engine issues but the engine isnt even on when it experiences the problem. (PHEV) Has been occurring since purchase but very intermittent. Could not reproduce until enough trial and error when it did occur that I could reliably reproduce it. During my own testing and diagnostic is how I found it can roll freely in the wrong directions and is much more dangerous than just shaking was. Description: Within the first few minutes of the vehicle being turned on it can shudder against the brakes when stopped. It can stop responding to throttle inputs and roll freely in directions other than the selected gear while throttle input is ignored. It will start responding again after some time, I dont know what makes it start responding again. Does not show errors or messages. Reproduce: Plug in car, let it charge all the way to 100%. Unplug and immediately start car, move forward or backward a few feet at a time. Shaking against brakes will start, and at that time if you let off brakes and attempt to move car it can shake loose of clutch and roll freely. It does happen outside of this specific scenario and I have recording of such, but most of my recordings are in this scenario as it is difficult to catch such an intermittent issue Some recordings at: [XXX] More detailed here: [XXX] And many more stored locally because they're very large, available if desired. I was at the gas station, in line waiting for one of the three gas pumps to be available. I put my car in reverse to back up and pull around another car in order to go to the open pump in front. When my car was in reverse motion, I stepped on the brake pedal, but the car did not stop. I stepped on the brake pedal numerous times, but the brake did not function. My car backed into the front of
... the car in line behind me damaging both vehicles. The automatic emergency braking system did not activate, and there was no rear collision warning sound or message. I switched my car from Reverse into Park to stop its movement, but it was too late to avoid the collision. I had a passenger in my car who corroborates this description. Fortunately there were no pedestrians behind my car, so the only damage was to the vehicles. My vehicle has not been inspected by anyone since the accident, but will be soon. I have owned this car since April 2021 and previously had a few similar situations when moving in the forward direction. Previously, the brake problem occurred while moving forward at very low speed pulling into parking places. The brake failed to activate, and I had to throw the car into Park to stop it, but this was the first time I had experienced this problem traveling in reverse. When this situation occurs, I am pressing on the brake pedal, but the car is not stopping and the brake pedal seems to go to the floor. On March 5, 2025 I took the car to a Lexus dealer and reported the brake failure problems. They inspected, road tested, and checked for codes, but could not identify the problem. I believe that the collision back up system should have prevented this accident, but it did not function. I suspect that there may be some kind of computer issue that prevents the brake from actuating. The car will be going in for repair soon, and I have requested that a complete diagnostic review be performed of this brake problem.Read more

Two days ago a warning popped up on the Tesla screen saying to schedule service for something the car had detected. It said the car could still be driven. I submitted a service request in the app, and in the meantime researched the error. Per Google, it said this was a potential issue with suspension / steering components that needed to be looked at. The next day, a Tesla technician called and

He told me I was wrong, and that it was only for low tire pressure. The car did not have low tire pressure. He said the appointment wasn't needed, cancelled the appointment, and told me to drive 30-40 miles to clear the error. Literally 5 hours later, after my wife driving my kids down the freeway, when parking on the street in front go my house the car made a giant pop and the front left sank. We looked under the car and the front drivers side control arm had completely disconnected, popping straight down towards the road. More concerning, two bolts popped out, not broken, but just clearly loose and had finally unscrewed. You will see them on the ground in the pictures. If this had happened 5 minutes earlier while on the freeway I don't want to even think about what might have happened. These cars should be recalled, this is super dangerous. The first repair on this defect was covered under a recall. This issue is a safety concern as it causes the rear light bar to flicker on and off and
... it has disabled the back up lights. There was no warning lights or alerts, I was pulled over by law enforcement and given a verbal warning to resolve the issue. The vehicle is currently at Red McCombs Ford in San Antonio, TX and Ford is denying any issue with the vehicle.Read more

Coolant system
Incident date: Aug 26, 2025
My 2019 Ford Escape 2.0 Titanium has a KNOWN coolant intrusion issue where it is leaking into the engine. This began as my car shook on startup, then the check engine light would come on. Drove it a little ways, check engine turned off. Took my car into the repair shop and they looked up the stored code and it was P0301 cylinder #1 misfire detected and P0316 misfire detected on start up first 1
... ,000 revolutions. Car seemed ok, so took it back. Happened again, 2x, check engine light on, off, then on again when I brought it back in. Same codes again. Mechanic said coolant low, removed cylinder #1 spark plug and sent camera into cylinder, found coolant leaking into cylinder. They said I need an entirely new engine, as this has been occurring a LOT with these EcoBoost vehicles. Ford had an open recall but only acknowledged a small amount of vehicles, mine not one of them, and there is currently a lawsuit against Ford because this has been happening to so many people. We are getting nowhere with Ford, they won't acknowledge the issue on the EcoBoost and now we have to come up with nearly $10k to replace an entire engine when the car isn't even worth $8k. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS! Some people are having this issue at 50K Miles!!! This is not ok!!Read more

On multiple occasions, the car has flashed an error on the dash stating there was a problem with the hybrid system. It immediately slows down without time to merge over causing extreme danger on a busy highway several cars swerved to miss the Kia because there was nothing I can do. this has happened several times and Kia is well aware as I’ve had multiple communications with them.

Driving down the 99Freeway at speeds approx. Up to 72mph, my abs, traction, and brake lights illuminated at the same time on my dash. I pushed on my brake pedal in order to slow down and pull over, my brake pedal was extremely hard to push in and no matter how hard I pushed it didn't appear to be slowing the vehicle down. I pushed on the emergency brake slowly to help slow down safely and was able
... to get pulled over. I turned the car off and proceeded to call a friend for help. My friend suggested that I start the vehicle back up and see if I was comfortable enough to continuing to drive it to get myself off of the freeway, which I did. Then when I got off the freeway, I noticed all the lights had gone off and the car felt like it was driving normal again. I proceeded home. The following day my check engine light came on saying to check hybrid system. After being informed to clear the check engine to reset everything my car seemed fine. Then approximately 3 weeks later the abs, traction and brake light came back on and I had difficulty braking. This time and alarm started beeping inside my car as well, the check engine light saying traction battery is not charging and my vehicle does not want to stop. I've been researching different forums online and I'm seeing a numerous amount of other Toyota and Lexus owners with very similar complaints with their cars as well. I've replaced my brake pads, replaced my 12v battery and key fob battery as well. So far I still have no brakes and this is my only vehicle so I'm really hoping this turns out to be a recall or something cause I can't afford to do the repairs .Read more
