THE VEHICLE'S OIL CONSUMPTION IS BECOMING GREATER AND GREATER. I AM NOW AT A POINT WHERE I NEED TO ADD 2 QUARTS OF OIL EVERY 3 WEEKS, WHICH IS ABOUT 1000 MILES DRIVEN. WHILE WE INITIALLY THOUGHT THIS WAS A COSMETIC ISSUE, SOON THE DASHBOARD BEGAN MELTING AND STINKING UP THE CAR. WHEN WE BROUGHT IT TO OUR LOCAL LEXUS DEALERSHIP FOR INVESTIGATION (LEXUS OF KENDALL), WE WERE TOLD THAT THERE WAS A WARRANTY ENHANCEMENT
... PROGRAM RECENTLY LAUNCHED TO REPLACE DEFECTIVE DASHBOARDS. WE WERE PLACED ON THE WAITING LIST TO GET A NEW DASHBOARD AND WERE TOLD WE WERE #1 IN FEBRUARY 2016. WE HAVE SOMEHOW MOVED TO #2 ON THEIR LIST AND HAVE SEEN NO PROGRESS ON LEXUS REPLACING OUR DASHBOARD. ADDITIONALLY, IF YOU CALL THE PARTS DEPARTMENT AND ASK TO ORDER ONE THEY CLAIM IT WILL ARRIVE IN 5-7 BUSINESS DAYS. THAT SEEMS UNFAIR. I HAD THE ECU REPLACED AND STEERING CALIBRATED A FEW DAYS LATER AS I TURNED IN TO MY SCHOOLS PARKING LOT I HEARD A POP BUT WAS NOT VERY ALARMED ABOUT IT UNTIL THAT AFTERNOON I WAS HEADED HOME AND THE STEERING

LEXUS CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLD ME THEY HAD TO INSPECT IT BEFORE THEY COULD DO ANYTHING. THEY PAID FOR THE INSPECTION AND ADMITTED THE PART REPLACED BY THEM PREVIOUSLY HAD FAILED AGAIN BUT WOULD NOT BE COVERED AGAIN. THEY THEN QUOTED ME A PRICE OF AROUND 3,600 DOLLARS. AFTER SPEAKING WITH MULTIPLE CASE MANAGERS AND SUPERVISORS THEY TOLD ME THE CASE WAS RESOLVED ON THEIR END AND I NEEDED TO CONTACT THE NATIONAL DISPUTE SETTLEMENT.
