WHILE ON A TRIP FROM OHIO BACK TO CHARLOTTE, NC I WAS DRIVING THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS AND GOT A REDUCED ENGINE PERFORMANCE WARNING WHILE ON AN INCLINE WITH A TRUCK BEHIND ME AND THE ENGINE WOULD NOT PICK UP SPEED AND I BEGAN TO LOSE POWER AND ALMOST GOT HIT BY THE TRUCK BEHIND ME. PLEASE MAKE FORMAL NOTE THAT THE 2005 LAND ROVER LR-3 I PURCHASED NEW IN 2005 (VIN # BELOW) FROM THE DEALER AT LAND ROVER NORTH SCOTTSDALE HAS AN ENDEMIC AND SYSTEMATIC DOOR LOCK SAFETY FAULT PROBLEM. SINCE MY PURCHASE OF MY LR-3 I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE PASSENGER DOOR [2 TIMES], REAR PASSENGER DOOR, REAR DRIVER DOOR, AND NOW THE DRIVER DOOR LOCK HAS FAILED. THESE DOORS FAIL TO LOCK WHEN ENGAGED.

WHILE OPERATING MY LAND ROVER LR3 AT NORMAL HIGHWAY SPEED, APPROXIMATELY 55-65 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST ALL POWER TO THE EAS (ELECTRONIC AIR SUSPENSION). WHEN THIS HAPPENED THE VEHICLE LOST ALL PRESSURE IN AIR SYSTEM WHICH MAINTAINED A SAFE RIDE HEIGHT AND STABLE HANDLING. THE SAFETY ISSUE AT QUESTION IS IF THIS SHOULD HAPPEN TO A YOUNG OR INEXPERIENCED DRIVER OR THE IN DASH WARNING SYSTEM FAIL SIMULTANEOUSLY AN INDIVIDUAL COULD FIND THEMSELVES IN A VERY DANGEROUS OR POSSIBLY LIFE THREATENING POSITION.
