I am filing a complaint regarding an unresolved safety recall on my Land Rover vehicle that has remained unrepaired for over seven (7) months. The recall was issued in or around August 2025. Since that time, I have repeatedly attempted to have the recall repair completed through an authorized dealership, Jaguar Land Rover Buffalo. On March 6, 2026, at approximately 1:25 PM, I contacted the deale
... rship at (716) 831-3100 and spoke with a service representative. I was informed they are still “waiting on instructions from Land Rover” and are unable to perform the recall repair. As of today, more than seven months have passed since the recall notice, and no repair, interim remedy, or timeline has been provided. The dealership has not offered: •A temporary repair or mitigation •A loaner or alternative transportation •Any estimated timeframe for resolution This delay appears unreasonable under federal safety recall requirements and leaves a known safety defect uncorrected.afety Risk: The vehicle continues to be operated with an unresolved safety defect, increasing the risk of malfunction, accident, or injury.Read more

On March 11, 2026, the vehicle's DC/DC Converter failed completely without warning. It was towed to the Land Rover of Monmouth (NJ) where this failure was confirmed. The failure of the DC/DC converter resulted in the vehicle going completely "dead" while driving with my wife and children. There was no warning. Fortunately for my family and I, it occurred on a side street by my home and did not
... occur on a highway or other busy road. Had this occurred on a highway or busy road, this would have absolutely put our lives in danger. As noted, the failure of the DC/DC converter was confirmed by the Land Rover of Monmouth (NJ) authorized dealership (I have a video from the dealership stating and confirming the failure). There were zero warnings at the time it occurred; it just lost power and shut down. Based on my research after this incident, it appears to be a pervasive problem with Land Rover and while there appear to be active recalls for certain Land Rover models, inexplicably, there is no current recall for this particular model. My wife and I are very concerned that even if/when it is repaired, this will happen again. This is the primary vehicle my wife uses for transportation with our young children and I am extremely afraid of the risk that this poses to their lives. I've notified the dealership from where I purchased it and was directed to contact Land Rover USA. I have not heard back from Land Rover USA. This well-documented, pervasive defect puts lives at risk and is extremely dangerous. As an attorney, I find Land Rover's knowledge of this frequent and extensive issue -- while only having a limited recall and not providing any information to owners of other Land Rover vehicles -- is a reckless disregard for the safety of others and creates an unreasonable risk of harm to others, like my family.Read more

My vehicle has stalled several times in the last couple of months. I go to accelerate and the vehicle suddenly stops out of no where. This has almost caused me to get into an accident. I see there have been several recalls on ford escapes and this issue should be looked into for my 2023 escape.

The systems that failed included the shifter, which causes the car to lock so that it cannot shift out of park . This is most likely due to a shifter assembly and/or sensor malfunction. Several months prior to this event occurring (i.e., the car would not start, despite a new battery and consistent scheduled maintenance), this operator of the vehicle complained to the dealership that the car start
... ed to feel tremulous, along with the gas gauge reading 30-40 miles below the expected fill on a full tank. The dealership "checked the sensors" and determined nothing was wrong. The driver has been noticing shaking and continued problems with this vehicle shifting in and out of lower gears (1st through 3rd in an automatic V6 engine). The culmination is now this car will not start, and states both 'service shifter' and 'brake sensor service' lights illuminate upon attempting to start the engine. From reading, it is likely to have a transmission range sensor failure, a faulty shifter module, or wiring corrosion. Also, Stellantis (software manufacturer for these sensors) has admitted fault of these sensors in the past, and had extended warranties for some, but not all vehicles. Unable to operate a nonfunctioning vehicle now stuck with towing to a dealership I've not had good results with since the purchase of this vehicle.Read more

I am submitting a claim regarding a major repair needed on my 2018 Honda Accord. The vehicle was recently diagnosed at an authorized Honda dealership, where technicians determined that the engine requires a head gasket repair. I was quoted approximately $7,000 for the repair. Based on the research I have done, premature head gasket failure appears to be a known and recurring issue reported by ot
... her owners of this model, often occurring around 100,000 miles or even sooner. This type of failure at this mileage is unexpected for a properly maintained vehicle and raises concern about a potential defect or design issue. Additionally, the vehicle showed no clear warning signs prior to the diagnosis. There were no dashboard warnings or indicators that would have alerted me to an imminent failure, which made it impossible to address the problem before significant damage occurred. Given the nature of the failure, the relatively low mileage for such a major engine issue, and the high repair cost quoted by the dealership, I am requesting that this matter be reviewed and that assistance or coverage for the repair be considered.Read more

A recall was issued for a roof leak defect that allowed water intrusion into my vehicle. I had two codes on my 2022 Forester over last two weeks. First one u0284 was for the Active Grill Shutter. This happened because for some reason Subaru decided to put the fog lights on the same fuse as the AGS. Fog light blew, shorted out blew the fuse, this caused every safety system in the car to turn off. By default these are open so why does loosing 1-2MPG, or longer time to warm up a
... car cause every safety feature to turn off. Answer is they kill everything so you have to come in and pay hundreds for $15 bulb. This week had a o2 sensor go bad while I was driving. Had lane assist on , adaptive cruise, etc. Check engine went on and car start to rapidly decelerate, and again all safety features where turned off for something that is not fixed would potential cause reduce MPG, damage the catalytic converter, cause black smoke. None of this should require all safety features to be turned off. This is going to kill someone. I know your not suppose to have your hands off the wheel when using lane assist but people do it. I was in bumper to bumper traffic on 40 going 65 MPH. Not only would I have been at risk but everyone around me. Worse case is I do not have my hands on the wheel, the o2 sensor fails, car pulls into the car beside me and someone dies because Subaru wants money more than safety.Read more

While traveling from Los Angeles, California to Tucson, Arizona with one passenger, the vehicle experienced a sudden and dangerous loss of multiple critical systems while driving at highway speed. Earlier during the trip the vehicle stopped in Quartzsite, Arizona. When attempting to re-enter the vehicle, the key initially did not unlock the vehicle. The driver contacted Range Rover roadside assist
... ance and asked for guidance, but no explanation or solution was provided. After several attempts the vehicle eventually unlocked and started. Approximately one hour later, while driving eastbound on Interstate 10 at highway speed after dark, a yellow battery warning light appeared on the dashboard. Shortly afterward a red battery warning and a red triangle warning appeared. Within minutes of these warnings, the vehicle suddenly lost propulsion and the transmission shifted into neutral. Immediately afterward, the vehicle lost electrical power and the dashboard and exterior lights went dark. At the same time, steering assistance and brake assist were lost, making it extremely difficult to control the vehicle. The driver had difficulty steering the vehicle and slowing it safely while traveling on a busy highway with heavy truck traffic behind. Because steering assistance and brake assist were lost, the driver had very limited ability to maneuver the vehicle safely. The driver was able to slowly reduce speed and move across several lanes of traffic to the right shoulder of the highway, stopping near Exit 109 (Sun Valley Parkway) on Interstate 10. The vehicle stopped approximately 300 feet before the exit ramp. Because the vehicle had lost electrical power and exterior lighting, the vehicle was difficult for other drivers to see in the dark. Several large trucks passed close to the stopped vehicle. The driver used a mobile phone light to signal the vehicle’s presence and reduce the risk of being struck. I am submitting this complaint regarding a safety-related recall on my Audi Q7 involving the alternator. The wording of the recall is significantly underplayed, written off as an emissions issues. When in reality this is a life threatening flaw in the alternator. It is highly concerning that Audi isn’t being transparent with people who are driving these cars and risking their lives while doing s
... o. This is not simply emissions, in reality, the car can totally malfunction while in operation. The entire electrical system fails and the car completely stops responding to the driver, fully stops and dies no matter where you are driving or at what speed. While driving on the highway, my vehicle experienced a catastrophic electrical failure caused by the recalled alternator, which caused the car to completely stop and it would not restart in any way. This created a life-threatening situation for my family and me. As a result of this electrical failure, the vehicle’s battery was damaged, and Audi has acknowledged coverage of 90% for the battery repair. However, the voltage converter, which is part of the same charging system, was also damaged during the same event. Audi is refusing coverage for the $1,600 repair of the voltage converter, despite the damage being caused directly by the alternator failure. I believe this represents a significant safety risk, as the vehicle’s sudden loss of power could lead to serious injury or death. Additionally, the recall itself caused secondary damage that is being denied coverage, which is unfair and unsafe. I am requesting that NHTSA review this matter as a safety defect/recall-related failure, and ensure the manufacturer addresses all consequences of this recall-related defect, including coverage of secondary damage like the voltage converter.Read more

The police arrived and could not find any sign of foul play but noted a comment report to document the incident. We had to drive the car home with shattered glass falling into our car as we drove very slowly home. We were shaken and very confused as to why and how this could have happened. When I got home I Googled, "RDX" and before I could type in anything else, HUNDREDS of customer complaints including news coverage of the very same incident I experienced showed up. Acura/Honda KNEW about this and had issued Service Bulletin (22-014) on 10/28/2022 but never directly informed customers that this could happen. There is no recall, no light indicators, no warning. I was in the car with my son. We could have been on the highway or anywhere when our windshield shattered. I contacted an Acura Dealership and they indicated that I was responsible as the customer. Now, I am having to pay $500 out of pocket in order for my insurance to cover the damages. This may also cause my insurance rate to increase. DC-DC Converter failed, battery light came on mid-drive and I continued to drive to try and make it to my destination. Car systems started one by one shutting down, first my seat heater then eventually my steering and gas petal. The Vehicle then died and left me stranded in the middle of the road while cars were passing me leaving me unsafe and blocking the road for more than an hour untill a to
... w truck could arrive. I could have easily been in an accident if I was on a different road do to the steering assist and gas pedal not continuing to work. Making it unsafe for me and many people on the road. The car would also not turn on or go into neutral so I could push it off to the side. Making it a hazard blocking a major road. I took it to Land Rover dealer and they mentioned that this is currently a common issue among Defenders, they have a bunch of them sitting on the lot waiting for this part and it is currently back ordered for several months. Leading me to believe this isn't an isolated incident and that Land Rover should address it before someone gets hurt on the road.Read more

Vehicle experienced sudden and complete shutdown while driving immediately after crossing railroad tracks. Dashboard warning displayed “battery failure.” Vehicle would not restart and would not shift into neutral, leaving it immobilized in traffic. Police department called and traffic was managed by 2 police officers. Vehicle was stuck on roadway and required manual override procedure (unknow
... n to owner) to shift into neutral before being pushed off roadway. Vehicle was towed 250 miles. Dealership has indicated hybrid battery/system failure and ordered replacement battery. Concern: Sudden total loss of propulsion and inability to shift into neutral creates serious roadway safety hazard. If this had occurred seconds earlier, vehicle could have been immobilized directly on railroad tracks. Request investigation into hybrid battery/system failures causing sudden total shutdown without safe-mode capability.Read more
