I have received hundreds of intermittent safety faults which state: “Ssfety Restraint System Fault - Service is Required.” These messages pop up randomly and I have taken the vehicle in several times and no faults are seen during the service appointment. Tesla tells me there are at least 9 possible reasons for such a fault but they never provide me a checklist showing all 9 items were investig

The last appointment they never gave me any feedback from the initial service center but transferred my car to another service center not stating why and then saying nothing found no precise timestamp was determined although I gave them a photo of the message and the date/time of the photo. Tesla says nothing is found but they want me to pick up the vehicle and wait for the next fault to occur. I stated that these faults occur intermittently and disappear by the time I get an appointment. They don’t offer to keep the vehicle for longer term monitoring or what is the impact of possible safety restraint malfunctions should I decide to retrieve and drive the vehicle. There is general lack of clarity on what other things could be checked given more time or resources, does this fault occur regularly on other Model X vehicles and what if any safety problems have been identified in any of those vehicles that may have been fixed. Tesla provides diagnosis for 1 hour only at $278 to vehicles not under warranty and they said repairs would be In addition to this. Since no other non-Tesla automotive service center can possibly troubleshoot such a complex electronics and software system I am effectively being charged almost $300 whenever the fault is detected so effectively there is no incentive for Tesla to ever fix my car. They have been sending me emails to trade in my vehicle and purchase a new one so there is many reasons to keep this 7 year vehicle broken!Read more

On first occastions while driving at 60+ MPH on a busy highway, the vehicle beeped for a few seconds and the dashboard went blank, engine died, no brakes, no power steering. The vehicle remains at the dealership now for the past 10 days while they try to figure out the problem. The vehicle is less than 3 months with only 2600 miles. The Service Advisor at my local dealership told me that there have been several similar cases and that LR cannot seem to diagnose or fix the problem.Read more

While towing my boat, the rear frame to which the trailer hitch is a part of, ripped down both side of the frame. Basically, the rear frame of the truck is barley holding on by rust. The hitch and frame section are dangling down. Rust has completely eaten through the entire frame after closer inspection.

June 24, drove car to Honda dealer & explained CMBS seizure and inoperable condition, reoccurring tire pressure indicator & rough ride. Provided written time line of CMBS problem. Upon diagnostics was informed no problem. No charged for diagnosis. June 28, LTP indicator appeared. Drove car to Honda dealer and provided another written time line of CMBS & LTP indicator problems. Mechanic test drove, found a wood sliver in left rear tire, patched tire. Charged $149, service coordinator would not provide receipt & explanation of service, due to cyber attack, but required me to sign form promising payment and he would not provide copy. Managed to press the emergency brake, thankfully we were going at a slow enough speed. I purchased four Bridgestone Alenza AS Ultra tires (255 / 50R 19 107 W XL front and back) from Costco at 2700 Potomac Mill Circle, Woodbridge, VA on [XXX]. These tires were specifically for a 2009 Range Rover Sport HSE. The odometer reading was 105632 at the time of purchase, and the tires were installed on [XXX]. ... our tires are cracked along the bead inside the tire, showing the threads/wire. The tires are all torn in the sidewall at the bead above the inside of the rim edge and are non-repairable. There was no damage to the rim, nor any reason the tire might have been lacerated by the rim. The tire failure appeared to have occurred without provocation, and Costco had just conducted maintenance in April 2024. The tires have an 80,000-mile warranty, so I wonder how all four tires have the same issue on the inside of the tire after only 12,000-mileage has been recorded; it has been only two years. If the tires had failed while driving, this could have been catastrophic for me and my family, which could have ended up in the vehicle losing control and possibly loss of life since all four tires are damaged. The only driving is taking my son to school and driving in the local area for food. I had a tire inspection done with Cosco Tire in April 2024, and Firestone identified this issue during a wheel alignment on all four tires in June 2024. I took the vehicle to NTB and had a mechanic look at it, and the only conclusion they stated was that these were defective tires. This could have been an improper service by Costco, which they said was not there back in April 2024. The only warnings I had were the illuminated lamp of the TPMS, the tire pressure monitoring system, and the low-pressure warning for the tire The vehicle was brought to Costco for two inspections regarding the TPMS, and all the TPMS on the tires were working correctly; they could not determine the cause of the lamp. The main display screen will randomly not turn on upon startup of the vehicle. This prevents me from using the reverse camera, parking aids or any other functions or driving aids that are accessed through the screen. Truck started shifting hard between a few gears and then got stuck in a higher gear and would not move forward even with accelerator to the floor. This was in the middle of the road with multiple vehicles behind me. I am not aware if anyone other than Toyota technicians have inspected the vehicle. There were no warnings, messages, or dashboard lights illuminated when this happened. Toyota dealership also refused to supply a rental car in the meantime while truck is being fixed. Apparently it is a known issue with repair shops. The 5th bow of the convertible top is a faulty part that when bent causes leaks within the vehicle. These leaks bcome massive and could cause mold within the rear floor panel. I've replace the part in 2018 and now 2024. However, the repair shop is now telling me the part is nolonger manufactured and can be located in the country.

The infotainment display on our 2019 Subaru Outback for the past 10 months has been inoperable and poses a distraction to the driver. One time this display distraction caused a near miss incident. We have contacted Subaru of America countless times and after three call attempts and multiple emails, we received a call saying the part is shipped but were not given any tracking information. We have been told false information by multiple Subaru representatives and have had extreme difficulty getting help with this matter. ... foot when it does it to avoid damaging the engine), I have clanking and a metallic clicking sound coming from the bell housing, tranmission casing and bell housing radiate heat from under the vehicle hot enough to be uncomfortable climbing out of the vehicle after a 30-45 minute drive (my youngest recently started asking me to pick her up out of the truck cause it "burns" **is hot** on her leg, where she used to love climbing and jumping off my steps), my avg milage dropped from low to mid 20s to avg 14-18 miles per gallon since the initial onset, and the dealership and toyota customer service keep telling me there's nothing wrong with it, they all do that, and they're just "Vehicle Characteristics" of the Tacoma.. I've driven friends and family members tacomas of the same generation that did not do it, and mine DID NOT DO IT NEW! They told me at first it was just the transmission learning my driving habits and I told them I would give it time.. Last interaction with dealer, who hinted they would buy it, toyota told me that I would have to pay for a transmission service in order to check it properly (manually/not with an OBD scanner) and IF there was a confirmed issue that I could TRY and apply for reimbursement. This vehicle has 22k miles on it and has been serviced as instructed everytime. Originally only very slight surging felt between 40-50mph, now it is at any speeds and significantly more violent at lower speeds or when trying to merge on interstate (truck loses traction to rear end occasionally during 55mph shift in moist or foggy weather while merging)Read more

Less than 2 hours before my car completely shut down while driving, I received an error message stating "Stop safely. Electrical fault detected." I immediately reached out to the service department who told they didn't think the car would have any additional issues and that I should bring it to the shop on Monday (the incident happened on Saturday). ... highway, my car shut completely off leaving me with no steering, brakes, emergency brakes, hazards or anything--completely dead to the point where absolutely nothing worked. I had to do my best to steer a dead car down an entrance ramp and onto a grassy area on the side of the highway as to avoid being hit by another vehicle or crashing into a vehicle or tree. The safety of myself and my family was put at risk because the car completely shut down leaving no emergency equipment for me to use. I had cars behind me, in front of me, and beside me on a busy highway with a speed limit of 70 mph. I was also going down a ramp with no brakes. At first I thought it was the battery as did the dealership, then they suspected the generator, then they said it was the converter. They were able to produce the same problem after the generator was replaced and the car only ran for 15 minutes. Unfortunately we sold the car within 2 weeks of the incident because we no longer felt safe, and the manufacturer has been replacing one part at a time with the most important part being on back order with no indication of when it will arrive.Read more
