Ever since purchased new in 2019 the rear brake goes away after riding. Dealer bleeds to fix and it goes away again after riding. By going away I mean rear brake pedal travel becomes very long with no positive stop when the brake finally works. Very soft feel thru the brake activation. Vehicle does fill gas tank to capacity of 17.2 gallons. It only fills about 12 gallons. It has a 2.6 gallon reserve so only fills about 14.5-15 gallons. The reserve is not included in range est on dash. Vehicle gets 230-270 miles per tank. You have to pull gas nozzle half way out to even get this 12.9 gallons - gas almost overflows to get this done. The defective fuel pump control unit was discarded upon replacement and is not available for inspection. I believe the failure of this fuel pump control unit is a direct result of the recall not being complied with. I believe the manufacturer; Mercedes Benz USA is responsible for my costs expended in repairing this defect under the recall campaign because they did not notify me of the recall. I purchased this vehicle from an authorized Mercedes Benz USA dealer, my personal contact information is a matter of record of the sale, and I believe Mercedes Benz USA had a duty to contact me concerning the NHTSA recall campaign #2023010002 concerning this vehicle.Read more

In 2021, I had the Blue Ox tow bar, 10k rated along with the Blue Ox base plate installed at a RV dealer in Mead, WA. We have had no issues at all with this tow system during the last 4 years, we have never drove "off road", backed the unit up with our Jeep attached or abused the two system in any way. We had
... driven 6 hours from Pensacola, FL heading to the Mayport Naval Station. While on a secondary road approaching the base, I felt a tug on the motorhome. I checked my mirrors and saw our Jeep tracking to the passenger side and now not directly behind our motorhome. I pulled over and luckily there was no damage to our motorhome, our Jeep or any other property. I saw the passenger side base plate had failed. While examining the piece that had broken off, I noted the area where the "weld" was supposed to be didn't look right. It almost looks like the entire area that should have been welded to the base plate was spotty at best. I have reached out to Blue Ox Customer Service requesting they reimburse for a new set of base plates and the normal labor now to install them. I'm being quoted 4 hours labor which is more that the base plates. I'm glad the remaining base plate held, or our Jeep would have detached completely and even with the emergency break away attached, the likelihood of damaging persons or property would have been high. I took photos of the failed base plate and will keep both parts in the event they need to be examined by a competent person.Read more

The dealer informed the contact that the crankshaft was damaged due to a faulty recalled catalytic converter being installed on the vehicle during the previous repair. The dealer informed the contact that the previous dealer should have repaired the vehicle under NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V120000 (Engine, Engine and Engine Cooling), free of charge. The dealer determined that the catalytic converter and the crankshaft needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. ... cupant) would need to be ordered with a dealer-provided ETA of October 17, 2024. I paid $752.77 for the parts ordered on October 1, 2024. I was called back to the dealership for the repairs and was told the wrong parts were shipped and that I would have to come back when the correct parts arrived. They had no ETA for the correct parts arrival. I have reached out to the dealership and the Nissan National Consumer Affairs department. I have had six interactions with the National Consumer Affairs department. Each time I'm told there is NO ETA for the OSA sensor. I believe this is a safety concern. In one conversation with the Consumer Affairs Dept. I was told there is not enough demand currently to actually manufacture the part. I would think that customer safety would constitute adequate demand. I also worry that the cost to manufacture the part will increase by the time it is actually manufactured. I will still need to pay approximately $750.00 for labor to install the parts when they are finally manufactured and delivered. At just a little over 58k miles the vehicle started making metal noises while driving. The vehicle will jump into neutral while driving and this was very scary! Drove the vehicle 3 weeks ago, the noises and the shift in neutral happened again and I had to pull off the side of the road. This time gearbox fault light came on. This is very scary, this vehicle should be high tech enough to show error codes or warning lights and absolutley nothing from diagnostic check. Now, I am nowhere close to a land rover dealership, called the manufacturer several times about recalls and or problems. I was brushed off and told there is nothing they can do. This is not only frustrating: This is dangerous! I had my family in this car and we could have been in a terrible accident due to no warning. The local mechanic still shows no stored error codes or issues. This is a danger and I have found this same issue in many forums. The rear axle bolts - both - were sheared. Specifically, the bolt head and a portion of the bolt shaft were loose within the small hub cap that covers the axles. I was unaware that either bolt had failed. The failure was discovered on [XXX] when I took the vehicle into a Ford dealership for an oil change tire rotation. ... ia, approached me and informed me that one of the rear axle bolts had sheared, and the vehicle was unsafe to drive. At my request he returned with one fairly large bolt head with a shaft that had clearly sheared. He said that this was not the subject of a recall, but that it was covered under warranty. When the vehicle was returned to me on Saturday, December 14, 2024 I learned from the invoice that both rear bolts had failed. The invoice states that both rear "axle shafts" were replaced. The vehicle was manufactured in July or August of 2024 and falls outside of the recall that exists for 2023 Ford F-150 with the Trailer Tow Max Package, Ford reference No. 23S65. A simple internet search reveals Ford has struggled with this same defect for years. The rear axle bolt is a critical component, and it is absurd that in 2023, Ford is struggling with using a bolt of sufficient strength. As I am reminded every time I start the vehicle, the Ford F series was in its 75th year in 2023. One would think that developing an axle bolt of sufficient strength after 75 years would not be hard. I have towed a camper approximately 10 times since the purchase of the vehicle in August 2023. The camper, fully loaded, weighs at most 3,600 lbs. The sheared bolt was retained by Covert Ford in Austin, TX. I felt no change in the handling of the vehicle at any time, there were no warning lamps, etc., and heard no noise.Read more
