Ford selling vehicles with malfunctioning engines. This malfunction is allowing coolant to mix in with the oil causing misfires, which leads to the car consuming all of its coolant which can cause the engine to catch on fire. Ford has known about this issue for years and are not trying to put a recall on the engine. They’re making customers pay out of pocket to fix the engine. the dealer determi
... ned that the failure was a result of coolant intrusion into cylinder #2 #3. Due to the failure, the engine needed to be replaced. There’s been reports of the vehicle engine completely shutting down while people are driving on the roads. There’s been reporting of the car overheating and catching on fire. The vast majority of consumers who bought the 2.3 liter engines from years 2013-2019 are experiencing these problems. While driving on the highway, the vehicles engine misfired causing lost of power. Luckily I was able to move to the side.Read more

📌 NHTSA Complaint Description (Modify as Needed) 🚨 Safety Issue: I purchased a brand-new 2025 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid on March 3, 2025, and within 5 minutes of driving and less than 20 miles, the vehicle stalled three times on a busy highway without warning. 🚨 Component/System Failure: The vehicle suffered a complete power loss, rendering it undrivable in the middle of the highway. The gas
... pedal became unresponsive, and I had no control over the vehicle’s movement. 🚨 Immediate Safety Risk: The sudden stalling on a highway put my family and other drivers at serious risk of a collision. We were left stranded for over 3 hours while waiting for assistance. The vehicle was inspected by Hyundai’s roadside assistance and later towed to the dealership. 🚨 Inspection & Confirmation of the Issue: The dealership and Hyundai’s technical team later diagnosed the issue as a failure in the electric oil pump and the oil pump control unit. Hyundai has not provided a clear resolution and is pushing for repairs, despite the vehicle failing immediately after purchase. The manufacturer and dealership have not provided a pre-delivery inspection report confirming whether the vehicle was defective before delivery. 🚨 No Prior Warning Signs: There were no warning lamps, error messages, or any prior symptoms before the failure. The issue occurred suddenly and repeatedly within minutes of taking delivery of the vehicle. 🚨 Request for Investigation: Given the severity of this mechanical failure and its potential to cause serious accidents, I am reporting this to the NHTSA for further investigation. This issue needs to be addressed immediately before it leads to a fatal accident for another Hyundai Tucson Hybrid owner.Read more

The windshield of my 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn was damaged by road debris and requires replacement. A new vehicle should not have months-long delays for critical safety components. The OEM supplier (Carlex) has confirmed that the windshield is in stock and available to ship, meaning the issue is due entirely to FCA's failure to place the order or manage their supply chain. This demonstrates negligence in FCA/Stellantis' parts supply chain, impacting customers who require essential repairs. This issue is not an isolated incident but rather a symptom of FCA's failure to ensure part availability for new vehicles. A consumer should not have to wait months to obtain a necessary safety component for a brand-new vehicle. I request that NHTSA investigate FCA/Stellantis' failure to supply essential replacement parts in a reasonable timeframe as this represents a potentially systemic issue affecting vehicle owners.Read more

I purchased this Range Rover in November of 2022. The vehicle was serviced once at the dealership for wind noise on June 26, 2023. The vehicle was parked at my home for a week while our family was on vacation before I returned on August 10th, 2023. It was not driven during this time period. Shortly thereafter the Range Rover caught fire under the hood on the passenger side of the vehicle. The vehicle was parked under the soffit of my house and ended up catching my entire house on fire. The car continued to burn under the hood until it was put out by the fire department. The fire department and other investigators traced the source of the fire to the right front portion of the Range Rover under the hood on the passenger side. My neighbor also witnessed the car buring in this area right before he went to get a fire extinguisher and call the fire department.Read more

The car stalled while driving. There were no warning lights or indicators before the failure. The car was unable to be restarted so it was towed to a mechanic. It was discovered the car was out of gas however the gauge read there was still a lot of gas in the tank. We then took the car to an Audi service center and they informed us it was one of the gas tank sensors that was faulty. They replac

We opted not to replace the tank at this time. After further research I found that the sensor we had replaced is recalled on other Audi models of the same year recall #22V155 I believe more investigation and recall is needed to include the Q series Audis as well as further investigation into the gas tanks internal sensor that requires a replacement of the whole system.Read more

I am submitting this complaint to report a significant windshield defect in my 2020 Range Rover Evoque. The issue involves water ingress due to improper windshield bonding, which leads to leaks into the passenger compartment and excessive wind noise. This is a known issue with Land Rover vehicles, as evidenced by Service Action N221, which acknowledges similar problems in prior model years, includ
... ing other Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover Discovery vehicles. Despite the fact that Land Rover has documented and repaired this issue in other vehicles, Land Rover North America has denied responsibility for the defect in my vehicle. They agreed to cover the diagnostic inspection but refused to repair the defect under warranty or as a goodwill repair. Safety Concerns: • Structural Integrity Risk: A poorly bonded windshield compromises the vehicle’s structural integrity in the event of a crash. • Driver Visibility: Water leaks can cause fogging on the windshield, obstructing the driver’s view. • Electrical Damage: Water ingress can lead to electrical malfunctions, potentially impacting vehicle safety systems.Read more

... aving the vehicle towed to the dealership, they informed me the engine was seized. It took 3 months to get an engine from GM, they finally got the engine in, started it up in the shop, it apparently ran for about 15 minutes before losing oil pressure. At that time they shut the vehicle off, pulled the oil filter, found metal shavings in it and GM told the dealer to order another engine. But there were no engines available. The dealership finally notified me 3.5 months later that they finally received an engine and were working on installing it. I finally got my vehicle back after more than 6 months at the dealership and it was on its 3rd engine. I drove the vehicle for almost 2 years before the Same thing happened, the vehicle locked up on the highway and I had to have it towed. It has taken the dealer over a month to diagnose the problem and called to inform me the engine had seized up again. This will be the fourth engine in a 2022 GMC Yukon AT4. Besides the issue of the engines going bad, it is a severe safety issue that the vehicle will completely lock up on the highway with no way to move it. Twice I have almost been in a serious accident because of this.Read more

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding ongoing issues with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V499000. I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the OTA (Over-the-Air) update process for my vehicle. I received on OTA update to address 24V86500 Regen Braking Issues; some 4 weeks later my car is not operable. My high voltag
... e battery shows 100% state of charge, but my range mileage eventually dropped to zero and remains there. Even after replacing the car's 12v battery, I cannot open the car let alone drive it. While I had a technician to my house to address my bricked car, I had her do the work for 24V49900 (water pump recall). As planned, the recall part was made available to her (and then to me) at no charge. However, the fee to replace it was $345 dollars, as seen in the attached itemized invoice. 1) I had to pay this out of pocket and there is at present no way for me to be reimbursed for the recall work. I am told a portal is coming to submit a claim for reimbursement from the bankruptcy trustee's designee, American Leasing. 2) The amount currently approved for water pump replacement is $175, meaning I will have paid an extra $170 out of pocket for work that was to have been covered at no cost to owners, as mandated by NHTSA. Additionally, I have had a Lane Departure Warning Failure indicator light that has remained on for about 6 months. At best, this is a distraction while driving. At worst, the system has not been operable for 6 months.Read more

I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Specifically, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in my vehicle, which has become increasingly distracting and, frankly, dangerous due to an incomplete or failed 2.2 Over-The-Air (OTA) update is a huge concern. As a responsible driver,
... I value the safety of not only myself but also those around me, and this situation and others we constantly hear about make me question the process of the recall. Every week, a number of vehicles are reported as undrivable post-OTA updates, with statistics indicating that approximately 2%-5% of owners experience this issue. With 48-hour update windows, my vehicle becomes unusable for an extended period, which is highly inconvenient and concerning. Moreover, I've noted that partial updates are expected, potentially extending this downtime by another 48 hours. I have had a partial update that has left my vehicle in worse shape than before, what could happen if the process is tried again? This inconsistent performance is not only frustrating, but also poses a serious inconvenience to scheduling and executing such a process. Owner surveys suggest that comprehensive updates, which should resolve these issues, have been successfully completed in under 30% of vehicles which were attempted. Additionally, the alarming figures shared indicate that only around 10% of the fleet has been updated in over five weeks, despite submitting over 800 Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs). This inefficiency raises serious questions about the reliability of the process. Furthermore, the fact that there are only approximately 20 service personnel available nationwide, with a mere five traveling to assist customers whose cars are rendered undrivable, is simply unacceptable. This lack of support exacerbates an already troubling situation. Given these circumstances, I urge you to address theseRead more

The vehicle has a fault in the ABS system that is causing the ABS light to stay on, as well as the traction control light and the Brake light. This means the brakes will lock up, causing the vehicle to slide, the vehicle has no assisted traction control, and the cruise control will not engage. In a vehicle like this (a pick-up truck) the back end is notoriously light and will easily loose traction
... during emergency braking and without traction control, can easily lose control on wet roads. The part needed to repair this issue, the ABS Module, is unavailable anywhere...and has been for years now. Some can still be found in old junk vehicles, or for sale out of used vehicles, but these have no guarantee and are no safer or less susceptible to failure than the stock product. No to mention they can only be found at exorbitant prices since they are in such high demand on an obviously sub-par part. Why does this part have so many issues and why is it impossible to fix? The vehicle is unsafe without this fix! The tires absolutely slide on wet roads now with loss of steering control and the rear end easily breaks free of traction on wet roads! The vehicle also will not pass inspection anymore because of this issue. This has been a problem for a year at this point.,Read more

While driving my children home from an evening activity, there was a strong odor of gas inside the cabin. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership the next morning for diagnostics and repairs. The dealership 's technician was able to reproduce the issue and upon further inspection discovered a small leak in the fuel line. It was determined that the fuel line had been rubbing against the coil pack
... , which created a small hole. The fuel was leaking onto the coil pack. This puts both the driver and the passengers at risk because the coil pack is in close proximity to the spark plugs. When there is a spark and gasoline, fires and/or explosions tend to be the result. The technician stated that there had been no tampering with the components and that the gap between the fuel line and the coil pack is very small. I believe that the gap is too small because normal operation of a vehicle should never cause a hole to be rubbed into a fuel line due to it's proximity to the coil pack. Prior to the smell of fuel, there were no other warnings. I have included pictures of the faulty part.Read more
