I was driving home from work late at night in December 2025. A Signal came on that said pull to safety or something like that and then I lost power steering and brake control and my entire dash in my vehicle went pitch black. I was in the middle lane on route 290 and I was very lucky not to hit any other vehicles, but it was incredibly scary because I had no control of my vehicle and there were
... many cars and trucks on the road around me. I coasted off slowly to the side and I had to sit in 15° temperatures for an hour while I waited for AAA to come and tow my vehicle. They towed it to my home and were not able to get it off the ramp so they had to tow it to the dealership because the battery had died. The vehicle for a couple weeks before was slow to start, which I did not realize at the time was a sign that the battery was being drained. It was brought to the dealer and discovered that the DC DC converter and the BECM was the issue. My vehicle is open for inspection if you need it. The converter and BECM have been replaced after fighting with the dealer and with Landrover. Landrover is aware of the situation because they had to work with the dealer on their systems.Unfortunately, I am out almost $1000 because they made me pay for the replacement of the battery ( and the towing ) . Honestly I am having PTSD every time I drive past the area where I almost crashed. Landrover did not even want to accept responsibility, but the dealer did as we have purchased two vehicles from them that we also maintain meticulously.Read more

Vehicle: 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Sport HSE While driving approximately 65-70 mph, a red battery/charging warning appeared instructing me to pull over immediately. Within approximately 3-5 minutes, the vehicle rapidly lost electrical power and became completely disabled while driving. EVERYTHING in my car started shutting down; no air, no lights, no steering. Steering and vehicle functions beca
... me inoperable and the vehicle required towing. The repair facility diagnosed a charging-system malfunction. Diagnostic notes stated the alternator was only producing approximately 11.2 volts and was not charging the battery. The repair facility also documented that the alternator was saturated in engine oil due to leaking valve covers and oil filter housing components. Repairs included replacement of the alternator, valve covers, oil filter housing, gaskets, coolant-related components, and associated labor under Land Rover repair procedures. I am submitting this complaint because the sudden loss of electrical power while driving at highway speed created a serious safety concern. The only thing that saved me for an accident is the high speed I was traveling coasted my car to the exit as an 18-wheeler truck was on the side and behind me.Read more

My 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is subject to NHTSA Recall 25V-514 (Manufacturer Recall D019), issued August 8, 2025, which remains unresolved as of today. The recall concerns a front suspension upper knuckle joint that may develop a crack, potentially leading to detachment of the upper suspension arm and loss of vehicle control. Despite the recall being issued approximately nine months ago,
... the remedy is listed as "not yet available." The dealer has confirmed no fix or inspection appointment can be completed at this time. No repair timeline has been communicated by Jaguar Land Rover North America. Because this recall involves a potential loss of vehicle controllability and crash risk, the vehicle has been taken out of service and cannot be safely operated. The manufacturer has failed to provide parts or a remedy within a reasonable timeframe, leaving the owner without the use of a drivable vehicle. This complaint is filed to document the manufacturer's failure to make a remedy available for a safety-critical open recall and to request federal oversight of the resolution timeline for Recall 25V-514.Read more

I am reporting a serious safety concern involving my 2026 Chevy Traverse that occurred on May 9, 2026 at 6:46pm. While driving at freeway speed in the carpool lane with adaptive cruise control and gap assist engaged, my vehicle suddenly applied the brakes unexpectedly even though there were no vehicles directly in front of me. The nearest visible vehicle was a significant distance ahead, and ther
... e was no apparent reason for the braking event. This was not a gradual deceleration. The vehicle actively braked. I was passing under or near an overpass at the time, which makes me wonder whether the sensors misread something. Regardless, the sudden braking created a dangerous situation because vehicles were behind me, and the driver behind appeared to think I was brake checking them. This could have easily caused a rear end collision. As a result of this incident, I no longer feel I can trust these safety/driver assistance systems and have since disabled those features because I do not feel safe relying on them until this issue is properly investigated and addressed. I am requesting that this issue be formally documented, that the vehicle be inspected for any malfunction related to adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, or related sensor systems, and that I be advised whether this is a known issue with the 2026 Traverse. If there are any software updates, technical service bulletins, recalls, or corrective actions available, please let me know. This is a serious safety concern, and I would appreciate guidance on the next steps.Read more

Code p1098 with engine light on my truck.
Incident date: Sep 24, 2025
The dual clutch transmission on my 2020 C8 Corvette has a diagnostic code of p1955. This was determined after the service light on the vehicle illuminated and it was taken to service at the dealership. Other codes that stored included p0868 and p0869 which indicate low hydraulic pressure and high hydraulic pressure respectively. The p1955 code is an internal fault that requires complete replace
... ment of the transmission according to GM service bulletins. This bulletin also advises that no repair attempts are to be made except for complete replacement. The vehicle has not shown any symptoms currently. Gears shift normally, there are no vibrations, etc. However, the dealership advised the transmission can go into limp mode, fail completely, or damage other components of the power train at any point. This issue is known to GM. They have investigated the matter since 2021 or earlier. There have been no recalls on the transmission despite the safety risks of sudden loss of power, being stranded, or catastrophic destructive failure without warning. These pose risks to occupants inside the vehicle and other vehicles or people on the road. My repeated questioning of this matter to the dealership and GM customer service have been ignored. They only advise the cost to replace is with the owner of the vehicle despite the root cause being at the level of engineering of the part. They are unwilling to admit this failure is at the level of a manufacturing/engineering defect as a financial cost mitigation strategy. The Issue with sudden failure of the transmission in these vehicles are widely known, investigated, and occurring at a high rate, especially in early model C8 Corvettes.Read more

I am submitting this report regarding a serious and potentially fatal unintended vehicle acceleration incident that occurred immediately after my vehicle was returned from repair. I originally brought the vehicle to the dealership’s body shop following a collision. The repairs included the replacement and repair of cracked grille covers, sensors, rear damage, and the rear camera system. The veh
... icle remained at the repair facility for approximately one month during the repair process. After finally picking up the vehicle, I drove and tested it for many miles without noticing any obvious issues. I then parked in front of a shopping center. The vehicle was fully stopped, and I shifted the transmission into PARK. After engaging PARK, I removed my foot from the brake pedal. At that exact moment, the vehicle suddenly and violently lunged forward on its own without any warning or driver input. The vehicle accelerated into a concrete pillar located less than two feet in front of the parking space. The impact was severe enough to deploy two airbags and caused a very loud, explosive sound inside the vehicle. The force of the collision shocked the interior seats and coverings, and I was left disoriented and briefly unconscious. This incident could easily have resulted in a fatality if a pedestrian or another person had been standing in front of the vehicle at the time of the unintended acceleration. I am requesting a full investigation into the cause of this sudden forward movement after the vehicle had already been stopped and shifted into PARK, especially considering the recent repair work involving sensors and collision-related components. This was an extremely dangerous incident and raises serious concerns about vehicle safety and possible malfunction before or after repair.Read more

However the same issue has not started again. leading me to believe that was not the cause of the issue. Like before trying to roll the windows down from either the drivers master switch or any of the passenger door switches results in no operation conditions. randomly it will start working for a bit but than go back to inoperable. This problem has been occurring since i got the car and will be calling the dealer back again to express the dissatisfaction and failure to repair what they claimed to have fixed. It has already spent just under 2 months in the shop out of the 3 months that i have owned the vehicle.Read more

On April 17, 2026, my 2026 Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe experienced a sudden and complete electrical failure while operating on a public roadway in Texas. The vehicle lost propulsion and became completely disabled in active traffic during dusk/nighttime conditions. All electrical systems failed simultaneously, including lighting and hazard lights. The vehicle could not be restarted, moved, or recharged r
... oadside and was effectively “bricked.” This created a serious safety hazard because the vehicle was stranded in traffic with no hazard lights or electrical warning systems available to alert surrounding vehicles. Police officers responded to protect the vehicle and occupants due to the dangerous roadway location. Due to the low ride height/body configuration of the vehicle, a specialized tow truck was required, causing the disabled vehicle to remain exposed in traffic for more than five hours. The vehicle was finally removed around 11:00 PM and transported to a Mercedes-Benz service center. Mercedes-Benz service documentation confirmed: Internal failure involving the 12V battery system Consequential overload/failure of the 48V system Multiple diagnostic trouble codes Vehicle shutdown conditions The vehicle and components are available for inspection upon request. The condition was confirmed and inspected by Mercedes-Benz technicians and police officers at the scene. Prior to the total failure, dashboard warning messages and malfunction alerts had appeared. After repairs including replacement of the 12V and 48V systems, the vehicle again displayed warning messages on May 7, 2026: “Cooling System Malfunction – Reduced Drive Power – Service Required.” Because this warning resembled the precursor symptoms before the original total shutdown event, the vehicle was immediately returned to the same Mercedes-Benz service center to prevent another dangerous roadway failure.Read more

There are parts in the engine that malfunctioned and have caused fluids to leak into the engine. This is causing the engine to fail and requiring replacement. This issue started last year for me personally. The car has been to 2 mechanics and they both have diagnosed the issue , and to fix it requires full engine replacement . It’s a safety issue because the engine can lock up and stop the car.

I was driving home after dropping my kids off at school and when I was almost home my dash lit up with the traction control light, check engine light, ABS light, red break light, service ESC message, forward collision system unavailable message and break system failure 62 MPH top speed ( was switching between 43 MPH top speed and 62 MPH top speed ), I went to slow down and I had no brakes at all.
... The pedal sunk to the floor with zero resistance no matter how many times I pushed it. I live on a dead end road and thank god I had already crossed the major highway before my road because it would have been an incredibly bad accident. I finally got it to switch into neutral to stop and into park where I sat with my foot on the brake in park until someone could come out to me. I called my local dealership whom had it towed to them. My vehicle is a 2021 Tahoe with 23,014 miles at the exact moment this happened. The dealership said it was the master cylinder/brake module which is not covered under the power train warranty I still have. This is a major safety issue and it seems it is not isolated due to a simple google showing reports on other forums of other newer chevy/gms in different models have this same issue with brakes going out while driving.Read more

... had occurred 3 times. When attempting to start the vehicle one day, the vehicle failed to start. The tow company came and provided a jump-start, and then advised the contact to drive carefully, but if it failed to go in reverse. The next morning, the tow company's mechanic came again and confirmed battery failure, then recommended the vehicle be taken to the dealer. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who stated that the battery had not failed, but had not provided a diagnosis for the failure. The vehicle had not been repaired. The dealer had driven the vehicle back to the contact's home. After the vehicle was returned, the failure occurred again. The manufacturer was informed, and a claim had been filed. The failure mileage was 9,787.Read more

On the first day of receiving the car the windshield looked clear by day but it had little specks and lines like dust when driven at dusk and night of the first day it was driven. I brought it back to the dealer, they replaced it with a new one, and the problem persists. A clear windshield is much safer than one with specks.

Vehicle: 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E Component: Image Processing Module A (IPMA) / Front Camera / Forward Collision Avoidance System The IPMA and front camera system have failed, disabling Pre-Collision Assist, AEB, forward collision warning, and adaptive cruise control while driving. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Warning messages "Front Camera Fault Service Required" and "P
... re-Collision Assist Not Available" first appeared August 24, 2022 and have recurred consistently over nearly four years. No accident, physical damage, or obstruction was present at any occurrence. This failure puts safety at risk by silently disabling AEB and forward collision warning during normal driving — systems a driver may depend on in an emergency braking situation with no advance notice they are unavailable. The problem was confirmed by a Ford dealership in February 2026. Their repair order documents: "RAN IPMA SELF TEST AND FOUND DTC SET U3000-49... HARDWARE TEST FAILED... FOUND TSB RELATED REC REPLACE MODULE." The dealer contacted Ford, who authorized 50% off the module replacement only, characterizing it as a "loyal customer discount" rather than a warranty or goodwill repair. I declined to pay for the fix. NHTSA Campaign 11028164 (superseding TSB 25-2156) covers this exact failure. Ford's own TSB acknowledges the defect and the dealer confirmed it applies to my vehicle, yet owners are being quoted up to $8,000 for a known safety system failure. I'm requesting NHTSA investigate whether this warrants a recall. First occurrence: August 24, 2022 (mileage not recorded) Service visit: February 17-18, 2026 at 80,029 miles Current mileage: 83,988 Attachments: photos of both fault messages, dealer invoiceRead more
