The main rear shock shaft seal has failed on two separate occasions causing shock oil to spill all over the catalytic converter posing a huge risk for fire. The second shock seal failure occurred when I was transporting the motorcycle to Moab for a riding trip and the temperature dropped down to -6 degrees Fahrenheit during transport. KTM completed the first repair under warranty, which only lasted about 9 months when the shock seal failed the second time. I had to pay nearly $600 to get the second failure repaired by a KTM dealer using KTM parts. Both shock seal failures caused shock oil to spill all over the catalytic converter posing a huge fire risk. I have a concern about the Motoz Tractionator Dual Venture 90/90-21 (54Q) front tire I recently put on my 2022 KTM 890 Adventure motorcycle. I purchased a set of Motoz tires this summer (2022) and ran them all summer without issue. I've probably put 600 miles on them. It is now winter in Utah, and I decided to take my bike for a spin the other day when it was about 40 degrees (F) outside. I didn't
... check my tire pressure, but by visual inspection they looked just fine. Tires usually drop a few PSI when it gets cold. I drove up the street and noticed nothing abnormal until I rounded the first corner. Then I noticed that my front end felt odd. I looked down and saw that I had a flat tire. It had come completely off the bead. These are tubeless tires. I got the bike up on a jack and pumped the tire up to 36 PSI, and then it ran fine. It has maintained its pressure since, so I know that it does not have a leak. I started reading on some FaceBook groups the other day that others have reported issues with their Tractionator Dual Venture front tires breaking bead and losing air on their rims. It apparently isn't an uncommon occurrence and has me a bit worried. I'm sure my tire wasn't extremely low on pressure because as I mentioned it has maintained its pressure since I put air back in it. My concern is that these tires don't maintain a good bead when they drop a little in tire pressure. That could be a major safety issue. The component has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police or others. It did not cause an accident, but I'm afraid it could if these tires truly have an issue with keeping a bead when they drop a little tire pressure.Read more

TFT Speedometer gets severe condensation under normal operating conditions making it unsafe to operate the motorcycle and almost caused me an accident on multiple rides in the mountains. This is very dangerous as it can get so bad that I can't see the information in my dash and can cause me to operate the motorcycle in an unsafe manner. Additionally, the condensation has made the onscreen animations very laggy which indicates significant damage to components inside. The condensation under the screen can potentially block any information the TFT has to display about what gear the motorcycle is in, when stopping I'm unable to see when the motorcycle is in N or different gears. This can potentially cause me to hurt myself or others making the motorcycle unsafe to use under normal conditions. I tried to get this address with KTM under warranty and they refused to address this as well as other parts of the motorcycle having a quality issue that can cause me to not operate the motorcycle in a safe manner.
