Upon purchasing the vehicle on September 26th, 2024, my brand new Dodge hornet started experiencing critical failures between the gas engine, the hybrid electrical system, and various safety features in the vehicle. At just 1,800 miles, the vehicles auxiliary coolant pump needed to be replaced along with several other components within that system. The vehicle was at the dealership for 2 months fo
... r the repair. Shortly after that, there is electrical systems started to malfunction including the blind spot monitoring system and other safety features. A few months ago, the entire engine blew and needed to be replaced. It was in the shop for over a month for that and the day after I got the vehicle back, it experienced more electrical failures causing the car to brick. The car has been in the shop for a few weeks now with no root cause provided. This vehicle, meets all of the Lemon Law criteria. Also, just a few days before the electrical system failed, the headlights went out while I was driving at night. This was actually the second time this happened. The dealership said they couldn't find any issues the first time but I am waiting to hear what they discover with it now. With the headlights shutting off in the middle of the night, I was unable to see the road ahead of me and almost crashed into a car in front of me. All of these issues have put my son, my friends and myself in danger. Dodge has been having consistent problems with their electric vehicles including their plug-in hybrids over the past 2 years and many of them are still sitting in dealerships bricked. Various recalls have already been issued for the Hornet although none seem to pertain to the powertrain or the hybrid systemRead more

Description of Crash: On [XXX], I was involved in a front-end collision while driving my 2024 Kia Sportage. Despite the impact, the airbags did not deploy. Additionally, the Forward Collision Assistance system did not engage or warn me prior to the crash, even though conditions were normal and the system was active. Safety Concern: •The airbags and collision assistance are federally regulated
... safety systems. Their failure put me and any potential passengers at serious risk. •I am very concerned this indicates a defect in the airbag and/or collision avoidance system. Damage/Injuries: My front end of my vehicle is completely destroyed, and so is my engine. As for myself I am experiencing some soreness and discomfort Requested Action: •I request that Kia and NHTSA investigate this failure as a potential safety defect. •I want confirmation that my case has been documented and reviewed for possible recall or repair action. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The Full Self-Driving (FSD) system malfunctioned. While traveling northbound with the flow of traffic in the middle lane of a surface street, the vehicle initiated a sudden right turn onto a freeway on-ramp at excessive speed and without adequate steering input. This resulted in the vehicle colliding
... with the left-side barrier. The vehicle is currently in the custody of State Farm Insurance and can be made available for inspection upon request. Dashcam footage of the incident has been preserved. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The unexpected maneuver caused the vehicle to lose control and strike the barrier, placing both the driver and other motorists at risk. The driver had no time to react to this unexpected action. The driver sustained a whiplash injury along with left shoulder and right chest pain. If another vehicle had been present in the adjacent lane, a collision could have occurred. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No. The issue has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or service center at this time. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The vehicle has been inspected by State Farm Insurance for collision damage. A request has been made to Tesla to preserve and provide all electronic data logs, event data, and over-the-air communications. No law enforcement or EMS responded at the scene. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning lamps, messages, or alerts were displayed prior to or during the incident. The maneuver occurred suddenly and without any indication that corrective driver action was needed.Read more

My 2013 Toyota Prius has a failed inverter/converter assembly, including the Intelligent Power Module (IPM). This component is critical for vehicle operation and designed to last the life of the car. Premature IPM shorting and inverter failure is a known defect acknowledged by Toyota through multiple recalls and service campaigns for other VINs with the same part number. My vehicle is giving codes
... P0A94 and P0A1A which are also listed in the recalls for other Prius models of similar age. My vehicle experiences the same failure, yet Toyota has denied goodwill coverage, claiming “insufficient service history.” Routine maintenance like oil changes and brake inspections does not affect this component, making the denial unreasonable. There is nothing to service on the inverter. This defect poses a serious safety risk, sudden inverter failure caused total loss of power while driving and loss of power steering, it was difficult to pull my car off the road. This poses a danger to drivers, passengers, and others on the road. Toyota’s exclusion of my VIN from coverage leaves me financially responsible for a known safety defect. I request NHTSA to investigate Toyota’s handling of inverter/IPM failures, the denial of goodwill assistance for affected VINs, and ensure that Toyota addresses this life-threatening defect consistently across all affected vehicles instead of narrowing the scope on who gets coverage when this is a dangerous electrical malfunction.Read more

The vehicle has stalled on multiple occasions while driving/shortly after driving, creating a serious safety hazard. On one occasion, GMC arranged towing because the truck stalled down the road and would not restart. GMC and the dealer have been notified each time. Since June 2025, I have repeatedly sought completion of Recall L87 and repair of the stalling condition. The dealership has declined
... or failed to complete the recall/repair, citing staffing issues and later claiming they did not have the correct oil. This recall was announced in April 2025 and my truck has been to the service center many times since, at one point it was there for 2 weeks and yet no one can help me with the issue. The truck was in the dealer’s possession for approximately two weeks without repair of this in July of 2025. GMC Customer Care initially indicated a buyback could be considered, then later stated they cannot review for repurchase due to a stop/sell hold on L87. see attachments! The stop/sell hold now prevents me from selling or trading the vehicle, leaving me with an unsafe and depreciated truck that GMC and its dealer have not repaired. The truck is also approaching three years in service, which heightens my need for prompt resolution. These facts satisfy “substantial impairment” and “failure to repair within a reasonable number of attempts/period of time” under Louisiana Lemon Law (La. R.S. 51:1941 et seq.) and constitute breach of warranty under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. The repeated stalling establishes a safety defect, and the extended time out of service and inability/refusal to complete the recall meet statutory standards for relief. This put my son, myself and other in direct risk and is continuing without the proper resolution.Read more

1.What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The vehicle exhibits trembling while idling and previously showed erratic behavior during hard stops. Possible issue with the engine control software or powertrain system. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. 2.How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The trembling
... at idle and inconsistent braking behavior compromise vehicle stability and driver control, especially in heavy traffic or emergency situations. These symptoms raise serious concerns about a potential underlying defect. Mazda has issued recent software-related recalls involving loss of drive power—though not for my model—which heightens my fear that similar risks may exist. I should not have to wait for a catastrophic failure or breakdown to validate my safety concerns. By then, it may be too late. I do not feel safe driving the vehicle. 3.Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. Mastria Mazda in Raynham, MA acknowledged the issue and performed a software update. While braking behavior improved slightly, the trembling at idle and other concerns persist. 4.Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No formal inspection has been conducted. I mailed a detailed letter to Mazda’s corporate office in Hiroshima in July 2025 and received confirmation of receipt, but no response or inspection followed. I also mailed a letter to Quirk Mazda, the dealership where I purchased the vehicle, and received no reply. When I attempted to discuss the issue the service manager at Quirk Mazda dismissed my concerns and stated it would be “impossible to recreate” the issue. No one from Mazda or its representatives has contacted me to inspect or address the problem. 5. No warning lamps or dashboard messages appeared. I own a 2021 Honda CR-V with approximately 47,011 miles. I’ve noticed that when I hold the steering wheel perfectly straight, the vehicle pulls slightly to the right. It seems like the vehicle is fighting agai

I took the vehicle to an authorized Honda dealership, and they diagnosed a failing steering rack, which they say needs to be replaced. The repair estimate is $4,478. This seems unreasonable for a vehicle with under 50,000 miles and no accident history or modifications. The steering rack is a critical safety component, and its failure at this mileage suggests a potential defect. I am filing this complaint to report the issue and urge NHTSA to investigate whether this is an isolated case or part of a wider problem. If others are experiencing the same failure, I believe a safety recall may be warranted. I also request that Honda be required to assist affected customers.Read more

I strongly believe this exclusion is unfair and irrelevant—my vehicle has the same defective part and is experiencing the same failures. Ford now recommends replacing the torque converter because the lock-up clutch broke apart, which means metal debris already entered the transmission. This is not a minor issue, and I do not want a temporary or partial fix. I am requesting a full replacement of the transmission—not a refurbished unit—as this damage is systemic and not my fault. These problems have created unsafe driving conditions and have already cost me approximately $7,000 in repairs. About September 6th I was driving my vehicle. It is a blue Kia forte 2017. I just had cleaned it at a local car wash. Prior to this 1-2 weeks before my ac had just started to blow hot air. So I recharged it with some recharge that I purchased a recharge can and my buddy Scott helped me put it into my low pressure air conditioning valve area. Soon after like I said when I was leaving a car wash. An
... d I drove down to a gas station and as I start braking my car started running a lot slower. Then finally it almost halted and all the dash lights all illuminated everywhere. And I had to turn the wheel super slow as I approached the left turn into the gas station. And then I noticed my car had shut off completely. I screamed to the men that were at a gas pump feet away to help me push the car into the station. They finally ran over and pushed it into the station. Soon after we attempted with one car, and one truck we tried to jump start my car with the batteries. It didn’t start or turn the engine over fully either few times we attempted jumping it. I finally called it quits and took a ride home. The next day my buddy tried to “ fix it “ he said it didn’t really work as properly and the battery isn’t probably the problem. He said it might be the ac compressor due to my air going out weeks before. But he was afraid to tell me it wasn’t gonna be a cheap or easy fix. He suggested I go to a mechanic. Months prior I received a few notices in the mail that stated my name and my vehicle info. I never really paid them any mind until now but I am thinking I should open them soon. I’m assuming that this info would be in there about a recall. I hope that this will be a substantial amount of evidence for my recall. The websites I reviewed and researched say the there’s a lawsuit and recalls involving my Kia forte 2017 as well. But the vin didn’t match it up fully? So I’m not completely sure why. ... d that is against the law. Even though auto dealers are selling these defective vehicles. They should recall them and pay the customer high retail market value, so consumer may purchase another vehicle with minimal cost to him. The problem listed below. Improperly seated input shaft snap ring in the two-speed PowerTransfer Unit ("PTU"). An input shaft snap ring that is not fully seated may allow uncontrolled movement of the input shaft inward. Uncontrolled movement leads to the potential for wear to the range shift sleeve, spline damage, and / or range fork damage which can cause an unexpected loss of motive power or loss of PARK function while stationary. A loss of motive power can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. A loss of PARK function can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning and/or injury to others outside the vehicle. I then drove to the other side of the store and parked next to the building to take advantage of the lighting as I scanned my phone app for alternative chargers in the area. SUDDENLY,
... within the blink of an eye, my car lunged forward at MAXIMUM speed. It came to a sudden stop , prior to hitting the glass and brick wall of the building. I was stunned. My first reaction was to try to go into reverse to back away from the building and then I noticed people coming toward me. I rolled the window down and heard them ask if I was ok , if I needed help calling 911, and then they began to insist that I climb down out of the car as they feared it would catch on fire. I did not understand what they meant initially, until I realized I was LOOKING DOWN at them. With assistance, I got out of my car and realized it was impaled upon the metal barrier post located in the middle , front of the parking space. The local sheriff dept responded and after putting me through all the DUI tests/exercises realized that I , indeed , was sober and not responsible for the incident. The deputy called Clem's Garage/Towing who arrived 30-45 min latter with a standard tow truck - I tried to explain that tugging at my car from the rear would not release it from the pole ( the rear of the car pointed toward the pavement while the front pointed toward the sky) and that continuing to tug would only do more damage (I wanted to prevent my car further damage). He eventually called another company who arrived with a large crane-like vehicle that lifted my car off the pole. The top portion of the pole was missing and apparently stuck in my car . My car was then towed to Clem's holding yard.Read more

First issue, the entire screen went black while driving. Couldn't see navigation, speed other critical information. Was at the dealership a few weeks got it back and the hazard lights no longer worked but they did before it had gone to the dealership. Screen went out again and took it back. Dealership had it a few weeks fixed hazards and started a ticket with Kia engineering. Screen still goe
... s out randomly. Electrical is messed up and car won't start randomly while screen blinks on and off. Been in the shop multiple times for weeks at a time for this issue and they say there is nothing wrong because they can't duplicate it while they have it. They have had to pick it up from my home because it wouldn't start and still say there is nothing wrong with the vehicle.Read more

I own a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport that has had repeated premature failures of critical components. At ~52,000 miles the water pump failed and was replaced along with coolant and belts. Less than 21,000 miles later (at ~73,000 miles) the water pump has failed again, with coolant leakage and a burning coolant smell. Ford has issued TSB 23-2104 acknowledging coolant leaks at the water pump/hose connecti
... on, yet no recall or extended coverage has been offered. This is not the only issue. My alternator has also failed twice and required multiple replacements in under 4 years of ownership. Having two major components (water pump and alternator) fail repeatedly within such a short period clearly shows a systemic defect, not normal wear and tear. Safety risks: coolant leaks can drip or vaporize onto hot engine components, creating a fire hazard. Alternator failure risks sudden loss of power and stalling in traffic. Both are unacceptable in a vehicle this new. The dealership confirmed the latest water pump diagnosis and quoted over $1,000 in labor alone, placing an unreasonable financial burden on the owner. This is the second water pump and second alternator within 73,000 miles. Ford and its dealers know this is an ongoing issue in Bronco Sports, as confirmed by widespread owner reports and TSBs, but continue to deny responsibility. A recall or customer satisfaction program should be issued to address these repeated failures.Read more

The back-up camera seems to only work in cold weather. This has been an on-going problem since 2019. This creates a safety issue when backing up as you cannot see directly behind the truck. The back-up camera seems to be a problem in other Ford models.

We were driving this weekend and the headrest components failed and blew it apart. It shoved my husbands head forward really hard. We pulled over and tried to fix it but all the pieces are snapped inside of it. From our understanding that is a safety feature that is supposed to happen in a crash but we were not in a crash, just doing 55 mph down the road. It was not inspected by anyone yet but fro
