I was using the full self driving feature of the vehicle. At an unusual intersection, there was a flashing do not turn right light because of a train. The car turned right ignoring the do not turn sign And headed for the railroad tracks. I had to slam on the brakes because the car was not going to stop. If a driver is not paying attention they will die. I have video of the whole thing.

I'm writing to express my disappointment and frustration with my recent car purchase. The salesperson's failure to clearly explain the contract has left me with unexpected expenses and a higher payment than anticipated. Furthermore, the car's persistent malfunctions have caused me significant stress and anxiety. The manager told me he was not inclined to help me because he did not like my survey a
... nswers so he wouldn't help me like any other customer and I made sure he clarified this . The first day I had it at 40 miles I tried to take it back because I could not get the car to get out of traffic it would not go in any gear it just wouldn't Now, thr R flashes red, the backup camera stays on while driving forward for a while, zero rpms when your going 75, then so fast you can't see #s, window fluid comes right back in your face, something new all the time. Went hunting and had to back down a small hill and get a running start to make it. It's a brand new car. Should not be having problems. Despite my efforts to address these issues, the dealer's lack of cooperation, and Kia Customer Care, have only added to my distress. I just get passed from one person to the next. I ask to speak to a certain person and they won't let me or look into my notes. They told me they were kia property and i could not. This car is going to get me killed or badly hurt. I hope that you will take my complaints seriously and take immediate action to rectify this situation. Car will not go into gear after backing up go to put it in drive. Nothing. Stuck in traffic for 10 minutes. I took the car back to them within 36 hours the car had 40 miles on it I told them it was a brand new car and this should not be happening already and I asked if I could just get my truck back which I knew was dependable. They refused I took it back two more times they never asked to get it looked at they had a kid the first time get in my car with me and drive from one side of the building to the next soRead more

Both B-pillar camera housings on my 2023 Tesla Model Y Performance become extremely hot even when the vehicle is parked in a closed garage and not in use. On the morning of the incident, the garage temperature was approximately 78°F. The car had been parked overnight for over 12 hours, plugged in, and charging to 80%. While the vehicle was preconditioning, no defrost features were active. Despite
... this, both pillar surfaces measured 156°F with an infrared thermometer—hot enough to cause skin burns within seconds according to standard burn-threshold data for human skin (~155°F). Both sides heating to this temperature simultaneously suggests an electrical or control malfunction keeping the pillar camera assemblies energized. These components sit near the seatbelt anchor and side-curtain airbag area, raising concern of fire, electrical, or occupant-safety risk if the condition persists. Continuous heating while parked could also degrade wiring insulation or camera electronics used by the vehicle’s driver-assistance systems. The vehicle and affected components are available for inspection upon request. The issue has not yet been inspected or confirmed by Tesla, but a service appointment request was submitted immediately after the event. Tesla repeatedly rescheduled the appointment, delaying it by more than six weeks despite the described safety concern. No diagnostic alerts, warning messages, or notifications appeared in the vehicle or Tesla app. This abnormal heating has occurred more than once under similar conditions and does not appear to be caused by ambient temperature or sunlight exposure.Read more

Dear Sir or Madam, My car was hit by another car when I tried to switch to the next lane. I did give a turning signal and observed before switching. However, a car sped past and hit my car. If the detection system had sounded an alarm at that time, I wouldn't have changed lanes at that moment. Unfortunately the Lane Assist and Blind Spot Detection System was not functioning correctly and failed t
... o provide a warning. This malfunction didn't occur only once, it happened again after this accident(no consequences though).I gave feedback to Kia and I believe my detection system is not working consistently. I requested an inspection on my car. Kia refused to repair the damaged areas for inspection purposes, instead, they pushed OTA updates into my car, and they pushed twice within two weeks without informing me. I asked Kia if the existing issue still could be detected as they pushed the OTA updates. They didn't answer despite me asked twice. Feeling quite helpless, I searched and noted another person's Kia had the same issue: detection system not working consistently. I realized that I will be unable to prove that this vehicle had pre-existing issues due to the OTA updates. I'm worried that Kia might use this as an excuse to refuse to repair the damaged areas. I understand I cannot totally rely on the detection system, but this feature can enhance safety if it works well, at least I would pause and not act if it provides warning properly. Thank you.Read more

It had happened regardless of which phone is connected or what operating system version is in use - that is, this issue has persisted across several different iPhones and versions of iOS, so it does not appear to be related to the mobile device. When this issue occurs while driving it is very jarring and can be disorienting, as any navigation or other audio ceases. The issue has not been reproduced by a dealer, and the components have not yet been inspected. There were no warnings or other symptoms of this problem. The problem first appeared within 1-2 months of purchasing the vehicle.Read more

The dealership has confirmed that my car requires a complete engine replacement, but Kia has refused to address the recall issue, claiming that other unrelated recalls were not performed. When I previously contacted dealerships to schedule recall repairs, I was told that parts were not available, which prevented me from completing them. In addition to the engine failure, the fire also caused my starter to fail. I was forced to purchase a replacement starter out of pocket, which has added to my financial hardship. I believe I am owed compensation for this expense, as it was a direct result of the safety defect. This situation has caused me severe financial strain, as I relied on my vehicle for work and currently have no income due to its inoperability. Kia has not provided a timeline for repairs, towing coverage, or written confirmation that they remain obligated to remedy this federally mandated safety defect. Subject: Assistance Request – Vehicle Engine Failure Shortly After Purchase I am reaching out for assistance regarding a serious issue with a vehicle I recently purchased. The dealership has informed me that I am responsible for the repair cost even though vehicles of the same year, make, and model have an active engine recall for this exact issue. Despite this, the dealership and manufacturer have refused to cover or assist with the repair, and there is currently no estimated time for replacement parts or a loaner vehicle. I have documentation from Greg Hubler on there diagnosis. I believe this situation may involve a warranty, recall, or consumer protection concern, and I would like to know what steps I can take or if your office can assist with resolving this matter.Read more
