I am submitting this complaint to report multiple unresolved safety-related issues involving my 2024 Kia Telluride that have not been properly addressed by either the authorized dealership or Kia corporate. Issue #1: Front Bumper Sensor / Mounting Bracket Failure The front bumper sensor mounting bracket failed and detached without any impact, collision, or customer-caused damage. I did not strike
... anything, and there is no evidence of accident-related damage. This appears to be a manufacturing defect. This component is part of the vehicle’s front driver-assistance and safety sensor system. Because the bracket is damaged, I am concerned the sensor may be misaligned, inoperative, or providing inaccurate data, which presents a potential safety risk while driving. Issue #2: Unrepaired Safety Recall – Door Belt Molding I brought the vehicle to an authorized Kia dealership (Fred Beans Kia of Langhorne) to have recall work completed, including a recall involving the door belt molding. After the service visit, I received conflicting information indicating that I may need to bring the vehicle back in for the same recall, and to date I have not received confirmation that this recall repair was completed. This recall involves door belt molding trim that can delaminate and detach from the vehicle, creating a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash to myself and other motorists. I am concerned that I may currently be operating a vehicle with an open and unresolved safety recall. Despite multiple attempts to obtain clarification and direction from both the dealership and Kia corporate customer care, I have received no clear confirmation of recall completion, no resolution of the sensor bracket failure, and no assurance that my vehicle is safe to operate. These unresolved issues raise serious concerns regarding: •The integrity and functionality of safety-related sensor systems •Proper execution and documentation of safety recall repairs •Manufacturer and dealer responsRead more

There wasnt anything in front of me. 2 week

Carmax, Kia and Daniels Tires NO ONE can tell me what is wrong! I have driven a 2024 same make and model and the car drove beautifully. Something is wrong with my particular vehicle. This is becoming frustrating. Please help. I drive often, I hike a lot. We are always on winding roads. I can't afford to sell it as I still owe. The oil filter housing cracked on the car, causing all the oil to leak out. In researching this, I have found that this is a common problem with the Kia Telluride and Kia Sorrento. The problem is that the oil filter housing is made of cheap plastic and not durable material such as aluminum or steel. This allows the oil filter housing to easily crack under stress. In speaking with the dealership, t
... his is not an uncommon problem. I feel that this should be covered under the Powertrain warranty or through a recall. A quick Google search will show that the problem is widespread in the Sorrento and Telluride models. This repair cost me a total of $425. The OEM projector halogen headlights on the 2022 Kia Forte provide insufficient illumination for safe nighttime operation. The argument for the warranty claim to be honored and the work to be completed is as follows. Kia Inc may not want to take responsibility for the engine. They may want to shy away from their duty by claim negligence on the part of the owner. Kia will ask the car owner to produce every receipt and service record you can scrape together just to prove that one was not done at an “authorized” cent
... er of some sort. Or they will argue the distance between intervals of oil change down to the smallest of detail to claim you abused the engine. An engine they know has a flaw. An engine with a ring flaw across multiple lines, years and models. That in multiple lawsuits they have in fact taken responsibility for and lost in cases so they are aware of the issue. But my argument is not necessarily these things. My argument is the oil warning light. That light is the real danger when combined with this fatal engine flaw. For a **3.8L V6 gasoline engine** (like that of the 2020 Kia Telluride) using **SAE 5W-30 motor oil**, you can theoretically determine the oil loss level that would trigger a warning indicator based on the overall oil capacity and typical safety standards. Oil Capacity and Warning Indicator Calculation Specifications of My 2020 Kia Telluride according to Anthropic AI. - **Oil Capacity**: 6.9 quarts - **Typical Safe Operating Level**: Generally, engines are designed to alert drivers when oil levels drop to about **1 quart** below the full capacity, which is critical to maintain proper lubrication. Oil Loss Threshold- - **Full Capacity**: 6.9 quarts - *Warning Threshold*: -*Safe Level*: 5.9 quarts (6.9 quarts - 1 quart)Safe Oil Level - The warning indicator would typically come on when the oil level falls to approximately **5.5 to 5.9 quarts. This range ensures the engine continues to operate safely without risking damage due to inadequate lubrication.Key Aspects of FMVSS 101 Regarding Oil Pressure Warning Lights. Vehicle manufacturers have certain basic rules and procedures that must be followed. When a vehicle manufacturer sells a vehicle, it has a duty to ensure that the vehicle functions properly and safely for its advertised use and is free from defects. When a vehicle manufacturer discovers a defect, it must explicitly disclose the defect and make it right or cease selling the vehicle. When a vehicle
... manufacturer provides a warranty, it must stand by that warranty. I believe Kia has breached its duties and rules as follows. Specifically, these Class Vehicles (Tellurides and Others) have malfunctions regarding their incorrectly manufactured piston oil rings which can result in engine damage and failure, and even potentially cause a fire known internally and secularly as an ("Oil Ring Defect”). Now, I purchased this car in January of 2023. Based on Kia’s active and persistent promotions touting the quality of its vehicles and my partners admiration of Kia vehicles, we considered Kia a quality company with a strong reputation for producing reliable vehicles. In addition to Kia's reputation through its marketing and promotion. We decided on the 2020 Kia Telluride because we believed it was a high-quality vehicle, after a salesman convinced us that the vehicle was highly reliable and came with great technological features. Since purchasing this vehicle it has only taken the vehicle to the certified dealership for its routine maintenance as recommended by both the vehicle alert system and the Service Department at Courtesy Kia. However, through all our consistent visits to dealerships, we had never been told of any recalls or defects related to his vehicle’s oil ring system. Since 2015, KIA has designed, manufactured, distributed, sold, and leased the Class Vehicles with this problem. As discussed earlier and in more detail below, the Class Vehicles contain a defect that causes a serious safety concern. The unresolved defect with the Telluride engine is an attack on owners.Read more

The contact owns a 2018 Ram 3500. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle, the ABS warning light illuminated on the instrument panel with a beeping sound coming from the vehicle. The contact stated that the cruise control feature was inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed that the hydraulic control unit (HCU) was defective and an estimate for the
... repair was provided. The contact was also informed that the vehicle would soon be placed under NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V896000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) and that the vehicle would be covered for free once parts were available. After waiting for approximately one year for parts to become available, the contact returned to the dealer and requested to pay out of pocket for the repair. The contact was informed that the repair was unavailable due to the part being on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. Will be driving when it switches to EV mode it will have no power and go into limp mode. Can't go over 30 mph. This is now the second time this has happened. Dealership tried to say it was because of temperature. Come on.

See attached document for complaint. I am writing in regard to an open recall on my Ford Explorer. In February 2024 I received a letter from Ford about a safety recall notice, 24S02/HNTSA, explaining that A-pillar applique trim clip attachment was improperly assembled. Then, another letter from Ford in October 2025, marked “Important Safety Recall”. The driver’s side A-pilar applique trim
... fell off while driving on interstate I-64 in Virginia. Fortunately, no accident resulted. I have been to my dealership in Williamsburg, Virginia several times for service for this problem and I am always told there are no parts available. Over time I have purchased 5 ford vehicles and always was satisfied with them. This brings me to ask when may I expect proper resolution for this problem?Read more

While charging at a level 2 charger (6 kW) the car stop charging at 61% for no apparent reason. I was unable to restart charging. Within 2-3 minutes of starting the car and driving, received a warning to “check the vehicle electrical system” and then within another minute or two, another warning to “stop vehicle and check power supply.” I was traveling under 20 mph the entire time.

The check engine light came on 12/29 and was driven approximately 50 miles. On Jan 3, 2026 vehicle was driven app. 5 miles and left parked at a friends. There was a little smoke coming out from under the hood, but this is not unusual as car had small oil leak for at least 3 years that no one could find to fix but burned off on engine and gave constant oily smell. Under 10 minutes later driver was

Upon starting the vehicle, it flashed several warning lights that were not on the day before. Including popping codes up on the infotainment system and urging me to schedule a service with KIA. Upon looking up the codes it states HVAC issue, when calling to dealership to schedule a service for it (while it is still barely under warranty) they let me know it might not be covered. That’s when I fo
... und out there is a recall only for certain VIN #’s for the exact same issue. My car won’t even drive because the electrical system is being affected. Windshield wipers going crazy, lights not working, AC/heat not working, the emergency braking system braking out of nowhere, the lane departure pulling the wheel while driving without cause. I don’t even feel safe driving the vehicle anymore. Kia needs to have a recall on this that alerts the vehicles owners because I had no clue that there was a potential fire hazard due to faulty wiring.Read more

The most noticeable things wrong are the RPMs and the oil consumption. The RMPs fluctuate at idle, hinting at a misfiring of the pistons, which you can hear when it sits at idle. The second thing is I top off the oil with a quart of oil every gas fill up. The engine light keeps popping on even after engine repairs are done. The exhaust manifold and catalytic converter had to be fixed and that didn
... 't solve the problem. The pistons' psi was tested and one piston had a psi of 70 while the other 3 tested to 125 psi. This is low for all the pistons with a possible broken seal on the one or something else. Chevy recommended 7500 miles between oil changes, but it should be 3000 to 5000. I think in the car's early life, oil changes were not as frequent as they should have been causing damage to the engine that is showing problems now. Having to add a quart of oil at every gas fill up can cause serious damage to the engine and other parts of the car as well, and already has. I will attach a recent repair at Chevy and screenshots of what Google said Chevy recommended for these cars at first. Now realizing that 7500 miles is more than twice as long as it should be for an oil change, Chevy will say 3,000-5,000 for an oil change. But now the range is 3,000 to 7,500. This is not reliable information for these cars. I don't trust my vehicle to go over 3,000 miles due to the oil consumption. The RPMs still fluctuate and the engine light came back on. I suspect something deeper in the engine is wrong, which if it is not fixed, more damage to the engine and car is inevitable.Read more
