I’ve had to get three oil changes in just five months of owning my vehicle. Honda of Brandon sold it to me with a clean Car-Fax report, but I’m now facing a possible manifold and catalytic converter replacement costing $4,200. When the service department called the warranty company, they claimed it was a catalytic converter issue, but it turned out to be an O-2 sensor, which would cost about $
... 460. One month after purchase, I had to replace the ignition coil and requested spark plug replacements, though I wouldn’t have known if a spark plug was bad. That repair bill alone came to $802.17, just a month after buying the car. Problem with battery. Oil has to keep being replaced and no one knows since not on ground has to be going in the engine. service rpt are Aug/19, 2025, jan 20,2026Read more

Toyota has recalled vehicles (24V-381) with the exact same motor that I have, but my truck has not been recalled simply because it is a hybrid. Their reasoning is that the hybrid motor will allow you to still move if the internal combustion engine does not work. Many hybrid owners have stated when their motor died they could not move. Toyota needs to include ALL the motors in this recall, includin

Had just turned out onto a major road and started to accelerate. At approximately 30 mph forward collision system alerted and applied automatic emergency brakes even though the next car was several car lengths ahead of me and there was absolutely no risk of forward collision. The vehicle immediately behind me had to slam on their brakes to avoid rear ending me. Thankfully, this was coming out of s

During the time that the automatic brake system was activated I could not override. I used gas pedal but car would not accelerate until the system stopped, perhaps 2-3 seconds later. Car was purchased used within last month and had an inspection by seller then, but I am not aware of any inspection by manufacturer/ dealer.Read more

Component/System: Original equipment tires – Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season, size 255/40 R21, installed on a 2026 Volvo XC60. The affected tire is the front passenger-side tire and is currently available for inspection upon request. Description of Failure and Safety Risk: At approximately 2,500 miles, the front passenger-side tire developed a visible bulge on the sidewall. This bulge indicate
... s a structural failure of the tire (broken internal cords/belts) and creates a risk of sudden blowout while driving at normal highway speeds with my family in the vehicle, including my young child in a car seat. Because a sidewall bulge can lead to catastrophic tire failure without warning, I consider this an immediate safety hazard and stopped using the tire as soon as the defect was noticed. Pattern / Recurrence: This is my second Volvo XC60 lease equipped with Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season tires in size 255/40 R21. On my prior XC60 lease, two of these same model tires experienced severe, premature tread wear and had to be replaced at low mileage due to safety concerns. In researching this issue, I found numerous other Volvo XC60 owners reporting similar problems with Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season tires, including tread chunking, premature wear, and sidewall bulges at relatively low mileage. Volvo service advisors have stated to me that this is a “known problem” with certain Pirelli tires on Volvo vehicles. Reproduction / Confirmation by Dealer or Service Center: The problem has been observed and confirmed visually by my Volvo dealer’s service department, which documented the sidewall bulge and recommended immediate replacement of the tire for safety reasons. They advised that Pirelli treats this under a prorated warranty, which would require me to pay a portion of the replacement cost, but they did not dispute that the tire is unsafe to drive on. No independent tire specialist inspection has been performed yet.Read more

While my husband was taking our daughter to school on 01/05/2026 around 6:00am, a warning message flashed on the radio screen: "EMISSIONS SYSTEM PROBLEM: The engine is not operating properly. Avoid high speeds and visit your dealer as soon as possible. If the indicator is blinking, stop in a safe place where there are no flammable objects. Turn off the engine for 10 minutes or more to let it cool.
... Restart the engine. If the indicator continues to blink, immediately have your vehicle checked by the dealer. " This was a safety at risk for my husband, my child, and the public - anyone driving near the vehicle. My husband pulled over and called me to let me know what was happening. He called AAA to have the car towed to the dealer. And called the dealer to let them know we were having the vehicle towed to them. They diagnosed it with "a unit in need of engine replacement." The car was purchased as a certified pre-owned vehicle in 12/2021. It is a 2021 Honda Pilot and had a few hundred miles over 8000 at the time of purchase. The dealer is not taking responsibility as the miles 62,007 are just over the 60,000 mile powertrain warranty. And over the 5 years by weeks - 11/2020 to 01/05/2026. I was advised to contact American Honda. They basically told me I was not eligible for a goodwill assist as because: 1.) I was not the original owner 2.)I did not have my service done at Honda. However, I did have documents of all of the service that had been done and sent those receipts to the Honda dealer. The engine failed. The dealer confirmed engine failure. The vehicle did stall out - at a stop light and took several minutes to start back up around October or November 2025. There were also some engine noises, including loud noises while accelerating, especially in Sport mode.Read more
