Horns (high and low) have been replaced 5 times under a warranty. This is a serious safety hazard. Vehicle: Kia Carnival (Model Years 2022–2024) Issue: Repeated horn failure / electrical malfunction Owners of 2022–2024 Kia Carnival vehicles are experiencing repeated horn failures that present a safety concern. Reported symptoms include complete loss of horn function, intermittent operation,
... delayed response, and in some cases random horn or alarm activation without driver input. When the failure occurs, both the high-pitch and low-pitch horns are often found to be inoperative. Many owners report that dealerships replace both horns, sometimes multiple times, with some vehicles requiring second or third replacements. Kia has acknowledged this issue through a Technical Service Bulletin (ELE-263), which instructs dealers to replace both horns when one fails; however, the bulletin does not identify a permanent root cause or corrective design change. As a result, the issue frequently recurs after replacement. A non-functional or intermittent horn significantly reduces the driver’s ability to warn other road users and avoid collisions, creating a clear safety risk. Given the recurring nature of the failure across multiple model years, this appears to be a systemic defect rather than isolated component wear.Read more

I had the ICCU unit recall taken care of on my car. While driving yesterday evening, I had a complete power failure. There were warning lights on the dashboard so I slowed down until it finally totally stopped. The warning lights said check electrical system and a yellow turtle light came on. While waiting for the tow truck all electric stopped including the flashers. It was dark, during rush hour
... and 10 degrees outside. I was left stranded, blocking traffic and with no heat. People were honking their horns and fighting to get around me. The street became one lane. It was very dangerous for me, I was a sitting duck. It also became dangerous for pedestrians trying to walk while cars squeezed around my car. Again, all of this happened in the dark in 10 degree weather. I waited all day to get a diagnosis from the dealer but they were too busy. I was not given a loaner car and have been stranded at home and lost a day of work. I had to have my car towed home last night and waited for a tow again to take it to the dealership. I may lose another day of work tomorrow.Read more

I recently purchase my 2024 EV9 from Carvana with 9578 miles listed on 12/12/25. Doing my 7 days to purchase this SUV. I had some concerns about the violent wobble when I drove over a bump. With some concerns about this SUV, I google to see if anyone else had this same issue. To my surprise I founded a lot of complaints and ways to resolved the issue. One consumer stated he had his EV9 aligned and
... reduce some of the wobble but not completely. I drove to Courage KIA in Gastonia NC. When I drove their system performed a per inspection on your vehicle. The alignment was way out of alignment. Had the alignment taken care of however it still a wobble. On 12/24/26 doing the snow and ice storm here in Charlotte, I attempted to make a trip to the store. The roads were wet but no snow or ice was on the roads. However when I hit a bump the rear end violently wobble and the rear end moved to the left and right farther it did before. I thought I was going to spin out of control. Now that I think about the very low mileage on this SUV. This perhaps is why they sold it. ly wobbleRead more

NHTSA SAFETY RECALL DELAY COMPLAINT Complainant: [XXX] State: Illinois Vehicle: •Year/Make/Model: 2023 Toyota Tundra SR5 Crew Max •VIN: [XXX] •Current Mileage: approx. 16,000 miles Recall Number: Toyota Safety Recall 25TB06 Dealer Holding Vehicle: Romeoville Toyota 684 S. Weber Road Romeoville, IL 60446 ________________________________________ Description of the Safety Issue and Delay I a
... m filing this complaint to report an excessive and unreasonable delay in remedying a safety-related recall on my vehicle. My 2023 Toyota Tundra SR5 Crew Max has been out of service at an authorized Toyota dealership (Romeoville Toyota) since June 18, 2025 due to Toyota Safety Recall 25TB06. As of today, the vehicle has remained unrepaired for 224+ days with no confirmed completion date. Despite repeated inquiries, neither the dealership nor Toyota has provided a definitive timeline for completing the recall repair. While a rental vehicle has been provided, I remain without access to my own truck and have experienced an extended loss of use far exceeding what would be considered reasonable for a safety recall remedy. A manufacturer safety recall is intended to correct a defect within a reasonable period of time. A delay exceeding seven months leaves the consumer without their vehicle and raises concerns about Toyota’s ability to timely and adequately remedy safety defects once a vehicle is removed from service. This prolonged delay undermines the purpose of a safety recall and places an unfair burden on the consumer. I am requesting that NHTSA review this matter and intervene to ensure Toyota Motor North America provides a timely and appropriate remedy, including repair completion or alternative relief. The situation I’m about to explain has happened twice—once in December 2025 and again on January 22, 2026. In December, the roads were very icy, but there was no snow on the ground. As I made a right turn into a Walmart parking lot, I heard a loud metal-breaking sound while turning. I immediately got out and looked underneath my 2018 Hyundai Tucson SEL but didn’t see anything unusual. Afte
... r finishing my shopping, I started the SUV to pull out of the parking space. The car was trying to move, but the rear tires were not moving at all. A man waiting for my parking spot noticed this and told me one of the tires wasn’t turning. As I drove home, I heard extremely loud metal noises coming from the back of the vehicle—sounds like metal twisting, breaking, and falling to the ground. At no point did any warning lights come on. I took the car to a highly rated mechanic, Premier Car Care, where they did a thorough inspection and found nothing wrong. After being reassured that the vehicle was safe, I continued driving it. Then on January 22, 2026, the same issue happened again. I was driving to my internship, and the roads were slushy. Suddenly, the Tucson became unstable, slid unexpectedly, and I heard the same metal twisting and breaking noises. This time, the ABS light came on briefly and then went off. The vehicle felt unsafe and unstable, even though I was driving very slowly—around 15 miles per hour. I was terrified and nearly hit someone. I had the car towed through Triple A back to the mechanic, but once again, they were unable to find the cause after inspecting it, and it is sitting in my driveway. I am reaching out because I am on disability, I have three children with autism, and I am also currently in school. I rely on this vehicle, and I truly need help investigating what is happening so this issue can be properly identified and fixed before someone gets seriously hurt.Read more

The sudden engine failure caused a loss of propulsion while the vehicle was in use, creating a potential safety hazard for occupants and surrounding traffic. During the incident in question, the vehicle’s lane‑assist system malfunctioned in a manner I have never previously experienced. When the steering suddenly released and became limp, I attempted to correct the trajectory, but the response window was too narrow to avoid impact. The vehicle struck a wooden signpost, resulting in damage to the right headlight assembly and the complete detachment of the right fog light. No lane‑departure warnings were issued at any point. Under normal circumstances, the vehicle provides audible alerts regardless of whether lane assist is active, and I am familiar with the areas where such alerts typically occur. Additionally, the forward‑collision warning system failed to activate, despite its usual tendency to trigger even in non‑hazard situations. This inconsistency has been present since I acquired the vehicle. Prior to this event, I had also been experiencing intermittent electrical issues. I attempted to seek service at the nearest Kia dealership; however, reaching it requires traveling through a national forest during winter conditions, which is unsafe unless absolutely necessary. I attempted to file an incident report with local law enforcement, but was informed that a report could only be taken if another motor vehicle was involved. I then attempted to file a report with the DMV, but the online system requires an Oregon‑issued driver’s license. I currently hold a valid Oklahoma license and have been unable to update it due to financial constraints and an anticipated move later this year. I have < 60K on this Edge. The transmission needed replacing (out of warranty barely). This is my wife’s vehicle. She’s been retired for three years and hardly drives it. This is not a fair wear and tear replacement. It jerked and bucked between 15 and 40 miles an hour. There is even a Ford service bulletin on it. That’s not elevated to a recall. I worked with the dealership and Ford gave me
... $2000 off the final bill, but they should’ve given me a new transmission for nothing and I would’ve paid for labor. That seemed fair. You would think that if there is a major service bulletin on it, then Ford would work with you or at least get extend some Goodwill. I believe the Ford rep gave me $2000 off but they should’ve supplied the transmission because it was a quality control issue not a use issue. It’s very disappointing. I have two other vehicles that are 15 and 14 years old, so I take care of my vehicles. This one however, surprise me out of the blue with the bad transmission with less than 60,000 miles on it. I spoke with Ford and I worked with the dealership, but the best they could do was take a little off the bill. That was Ford’s doing not the dealerships. I thought Ford would take care of their people better as it’s my fourth Ford. Just disappointing as hell.Read more
