I own a 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe (VIN [XXX]) that is subject to a federally mandated safety recall involving the high-voltage battery system. I attempted to have the recall performed by an authorized Jeep/Stellantis dealership, Carson Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in Carson City, Nevada. During communications with the dealership’s Service Manager, I was informed that the dealership would not pe

The dealership further stated that if their evaluation determined the hybrid battery required replacement, they would retain (“quarantine”) the vehicle for an extended period and would not provide alternative transportation beyond a limited initial period, requiring me to pay for a rental thereafter. I objected to being required to pay transportation costs caused by a manufacturer safety recall and to signing waivers as a condition of recall service. I made clear that I was requesting that the recall be performed. The dealership then refused further service and removed me as a customer, stating that because I would not agree to their conditions they would not perform the recall and recommending I find another dealer. I subsequently sent written notice to Stellantis / Jeep corporate headquarters explaining the situation and requesting assistance to complete the recall. Stellantis did not respond to either of my written notices. As a result, my vehicle remains subject to an unresolved safety recall despite my good-faith efforts to have the recall performed by an authorized dealer. I’ve been told time and time again that it has already been repaired and the 2 years warranty is has expired since. Because lack of help to resolve this issue I have paid out of pocket to have these issues repaired. However again the same issues keep happening leaving me and my family in very dangerous positions time and time again at the mercy of other drivers paying attention. What am I to do? I Cannot afford to keep replacing something that isn’t fixing the problem and leaving us in dangerous positions. "The vehicle is experiencing an intermittent, loud popping/crackling noise coming from the speakers and infotainment system. This is a known symptom of a failure in the MOST (Media Oriented Systems Transport) bus network, specifically related to defective FAKRA connectors and coaxial cabling. Safety Risk: "When the MOST bus network loses connection for more than 20 seconds, the infotainment screen freezes or goes black, causing a total failure of the rearview (backup) camera image. This failure occurs unpredictably while the vehicle is in reverse, significantly increasing the risk of a back-over accident or collision. Additionally, the loud, sudden popping noises are a severe driver distraction." Dealer/Manufacturer Response: "The Honda dealership confirmed the issue is consistent with the known MOST bus failure (TSB 23-047). This vehicle is a 1 year old (2025) Honda Odyssey with roughly 11,000 miles. On two separate occasions now, the auto start-stop feature has caused the engine to die altogether. On both occasions, the vehicle stopped at a red light in a busy intersection, the auto start-stop feature turned off the engine (intentionally), but when the light turned green and my foot came off the brake and onto the ga
... s pedal, the vehicle died entirely. A number of lights and an error message illuminated on the dash board. From my online searches, it seems as though this is a very common issue. 1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Auto start-stop / engine. No not available. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Having your vehicle die at a busy intersection or stop sign is a huge risk. It can cause others to try and swerve around you, or it can cause someone not paying attention to rear end you. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The vehicle will be brought to the dealer in the coming days. Unfortunately this is my only vehicle and I cannot afford to lose it for an extended amount of time, therefore I have to prolong inspection and servicing. The issue has happened to me twice, and has happened to countless others online. According to others on the internet, the dealers are typically slow to address this issue, and even when "addressed" the issues seem to continue. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No, see #3. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warnings prior to the engine cutting out altogether. Only a message after the failures. In both cases I do not remember what the messages said because I was scrambling to restart my car in a busy intersection.Read more

On February 28, 2026, while preparing to leave our home with our two children in the vehicle, we experienced a critical vehicle malfunction. Upon attempting to start the car, all dashboard warning lights illuminated, including transmission error, “service needed,” and “automatic emergency braking system needs service.” The battery warning light was also on. The vehicle would not start init
... ially. After eventually starting the car, we temporarily placed it in neutral and pushed it out of the garage, during which the brakes functioned normally. The vehicle was briefly driven and appeared operational, but due to ongoing safety concerns and multiple recalls, we parked it at the top of our driveway. On the following day, the vehicle would not start again. We arranged for it to be towed to the dealership. On March 2, 2026, when the tow truck arrived, the car’s position prevented loading onto the truck. Multiple jump-start attempts failed initially, then briefly started the vehicle, but it immediately shut off again. We placed the vehicle in neutral using the manual override and tested the brakes, which initially showed stiffness but were operational. While attempting to move the vehicle to allow tow truck access, the brakes suddenly failed. Despite pressing the brake pedal fully and brake lights being illuminated, the vehicle did not stop and rolled uncontrollably into our garage. Consequences: •Garage property damage: approximately $11,000 •Personal injury: my father-in-law fell while the vehicle rolled out of control •Vehicle remains at dealership with an open case, but the situation remains unresolved Safety Concern: This incident raises serious safety concerns regarding the reliability of the braking system and vehicle electronics. The vehicle became uncontrollable while brakes were applied, posing a direct risk of injury or death to occupants and others. We fear that similar failures could occur under normal driving conditions, including highway speeds.Read more

Copied this from a forum and it's the same thing for me. I'm editing to fit my unique situation. This is an $800 repair at my dealer for a $40 part! 5 day backorder so I'm without a vehicle. The upper radiator hose on some huge percentage of these trucks fail (mine has failed at 37500 miles). You can check the Colorado Chevy forum, youtube, etc., et al, and find plenty of instances where this has
... failed. As this is the cooling system, it can cause the engine to overheat and potentially ruin the engine. The flaw seems to be an engineering issue with the rubber seal they use (instead of a high quality o-ring) to seal the upper hose to the radiator. Additionally, since this can cause engine failure it should be addressed immediately. Instead, my local Chevy dealer, since its not a recall item, said they could schedule a time next week for me to LEAVE the truck and then they would get to it in 7-10 days. This is extremely unfair to the consumer who depends on these vehicles. This should absolutely be a recall item. You can find 1000's of examples online and if you can pull GM repair data, I'm sure you'll find 1000's more.Read more

Paint failure and delamination on a 2021 Kia Telluride with Snow White Pearl (SWP) paint. The paint on the roof above the windshield and the hood has begun peeling in sheets, exposing the underlying layer. The vehicle has not been in any accidents and has never been repainted. The paint failure appears to be a manufacturing defect involving the adhesion of the factory paint. The issue began aroun
... d year 4–5 of ownership at approximately 60,000 miles. The affected areas continue to expand as the paint separates from the vehicle surface. The vehicle is available for inspection. A dealership inspection appointment has been scheduled. This appears consistent with other reported cases of paint delamination on Kia vehicles with Snow White Pearl paint.Read more

Everything working properly and just fine until Monday 3/2/26 when I started the vehicle to go to work, the main radio multimedia screen was black and did not display anything. No sound was playing either along with when I placed the car in reverse, there was not the backup camera display as well. Everything was pitch black. I then proceeded to drive the car to work and then decided to take it to
... the Toyota dealership near my house at the earliest convenience which was today (3/4/26). In the mean time until I brought the car to the dealership, I researched information and videos on how to diagnose it myself and try troubleshooting my self. Also, when car is running, I got a message stating malfunction with AEB/FCW. Tried the fuse route and tried disconnecting the negative battery terminal for 15 minutes and tried holding the main power knob for 30 plus seconds. All of those did not work. I then took into dealership and once I got there, the service technician saw the screen working and then also saw the screen acting up and turned on but had lines in the middle of the screen. The technician had me turn vehicle off and once we turned back on it went back to the black screen. So once I went the route of having them diagnose it, they said they could not duplicate concern that we saw with the lines in the screen etc., therefore the technician gave the vehicle back with the screen not working still until we do have it working with the lines. I was about to leave and then the issue with the screen and lines cam up on the screen and I was able to have the technician look at it and diagnose. That is when advisor came to me and said the radio head is completely not working and cannot be fixed or saved. Repair is $2,769 with labor for a new radio head per the advisor. Car is not under warranty because of how many miles are currently on vehicle so I cannot get this fixed for free under warranty. Would have to be out of pocket and I denied that. Please help me get this fixed.Read more

Powertrain/engine performance (acceleration control): vehicle struggles to accelerate when pressing the gas. Transmission / drivetrain (gear engagement / shift control): vehicle drops from Reverse into Neutral without driver input (unintended gear disengagement). Water intrusion: ongoing water intrusion, power tailgate was already replaced due to water erosion, when it rains or snows water gets in
... to vehicle resulting in a musty/moldy smell and driver side mat soaking wet. Yes — the vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The loss of acceleration / hesitation / jolting creates a risk of being unable to merge, cross intersections, or accelerate in traffic when needed. The unintended shift from Reverse into Neutral can cause loss of intended vehicle control/movement while reversing (driveway/parking lot risk), increasing collision risk with nearby vehicles, pedestrians, or property. Reverse → Neutral: Reported to dealer multiple times; confirmation varies by visit (intermittent concern) Stellantis Customer Retention states they spoke with the service manager and confirmed the repair history and dealer visits, not necessarily a physical engineer inspection.Read more
