The braking assembly failed during operation, resulting in loss of proper braking capability and causing a collision. The vehicle has not yet been inspected by Nissan Motor Corporation Consumer Affairs for this issue but has been reported. I then had it towed to the dealer and they are currently in the process of repairing it. My son and I were in the car at the time of the [XXX] incident and were very fortunate that we did not hurt anyone or ourselves when the brakes didn’t work. As of today, the Hyundai dealer (Roseville, CA) says they are repairing a brake component that was defective but they missed this on the 2/28/26 inspection. I received the recall notice July 2025, took the vehicle to Covert Bee Cave in Austin, TX July 2025. They told me it passed inspection and put the new oil cap on. ... ues. I left the truck with them for three weeks and they could not do anything about the transmission. The transmission issue did not reappear until a couple of weeks ago. I took it to Capitol Chevrolet and they replaced a shifter rod in the transmission, but I am not convinced that was the issue as it still shifted rough. Just a couple of days later, before I could take it back to have Capitol look at the transmission, and while driving on an Interstate south of San Antonio, TX, the engine slowed down, flashed a warning "Oil Pressure Low Turn Vehicle Off" and it continued to slow. I was barely able to exit the Interstate, the truck stopped and would not restart. I had it towed to Vara Chevrolet in San Antonio ($440 tow expense) and it still would not start. The technician finally inspected it a few days later, said the engine is seized, and they will need to replace the entire engine, and that it is covered under warranty (there was plenty of oil in my engine). He did not say anything about the transmission. I believe this is an example of my vehicle passing the recall inspection, changing to the new oil, and the engine still failing - and at a very dangerous time on the interstate.Read more

I bought this vehicle because I thought it would be a safe family vehicle and boy was I wrong.

The recall describes a defect in which contamination of the brake fluid system may cause the master cylinder seal to swell and reduce braking pressure, allowing the brake pedal to travel

When braking, the brake pedal travels significantly toward the floor before the vehicle stops, which raises serious safety concerns regarding the ability to stop the vehicle in normal traffic conditions. I began contacting Acura dealerships in December 2025 after receiving the recall notice. I was informed that the required recall repair parts were not yet available and that I would be contacted when parts became available. Multiple dealerships in Massachusetts and Connecticut provided the same information. As of March 2026, I have not been contacted by any dealership regarding repair availability, and the vehicle continues to exhibit the braking condition described in the recall notice. Because the defect affects the braking system, I do not feel the vehicle can be safely operated while awaiting the recall repair. The vehicle remains financed and insured and is relied upon for daily transportation. This complaint is being submitted to document that the recall defect appears to be actively occurring in the vehicle and that the recall remedy has not yet been made available after several months. I'm filing this because both issues together make me uncomfortable driving this car at speed. The rear camera comes “loose” and does not register all the time. It seems to be a simple electric issue; possibly an electrical short. UNKNOWN However multiple times the front end of the vehicle starts shaking when I try to break up especially on the highway. The dealership claimed to have repaired it once and shortly after it happened again. The other issue was the check engine light just popped up check engine while driving on the highway, when I take it in they are stating that I may have left the gas tank open which is absolutely false.
