When you turn on the car, all warning lights come on, ALL error messages that can be displayed are displayed, and safety features become disabled. The systems resets after you turn the car on & off at least 5 times but the issue always reappears. Error codes P0172 & P219C have been detected during the issue. The dealer replaced the fuel injectors to remedy the issue.

The software in the vehicle occasionally clears (or resets) customized driver settings because the software is defective/incomplete. One of these "driver settings" appears to be the engagement of the child safety lock.

I contacted my dealership and showed my salesman the issue and he acknowledged the glare and spoke with the service manager (Patriot Chevrolet in Limerick, PA). The service manager did not leave his office to personally look at the glare. The dealership offered no solutions but told me to call the Chevrolet Customer Service number (800-222-1020). I had an extended conversation with the rep but no meaningful solutions were offered. I have owned many cars in my life but I have never experienced such severe glare and obstructed visibility. I am writing to raise a serious concern regarding a issue with my 2018 Lexus RX450hL involving the brake actuator. Since purchasing the vehicle at 63,000 miles, I have noticed hissing, clicking, and squeaking noises when applying the brakes. ... ood latch, both of which present safety concerns. For a vehicle under 5 years old , I believe these problems do not reflect the quality I expected, particularly given the premium price I paid. According to Lexus' Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) #L-SB-0032-23 Rev, issued in October 2023, which addresses squawk or knock noises from the engine compartment when the brake pedal is pressed or released, affecting models like the RX450hL. My vehicle exhibits symptoms similar to those described in the TSB. The vehicle was regularly maintained by the previous owner at Lexus of Thousand Oaks and Woodland Hills. Despite this, the major part like brake actuator has failed prematurely. Given Lexus' reputation as a luxury brand, it is unacceptable that such a critical component would fail before the vehicle is 5 years old or has reached 100,000 miles. The combination of the brake actuator defect, the shaky mirror, and the rusting hood latch is disappointing, especially for a vehicle of this caliber. When I initially contacted Lexus Customer Service, I was also dealing with rusting parts and a failing brake booster. Lexus of Cerritos provided a repair estimate of around $5,000 for brake actuator. I was advised to reach out to Lexus Customer Service after my request for a good faith repair was denied due to the inability to obtain the complete maintenance history. However, I have since confirmed with the previous owner and Lexus that the vehicle was regularly serviced. My park aid sensor fault comes on without cause and a picture of a car blocks the view to the screen that displays directions from google maps. It comes on suddenly and sporadically and has almost caused an accident several times as I don't know where I am going when this happens. I took my car to the dealership to get this fixed. In other words, when a vehicle is approaching, the lights on the mirrors flash on but the noise does not present. They then told me that to stop the dangerous flashing of the car blocking my view of the map, that I would be charged almost $800 to repair. I told them I couldn't afford it and asked if they could just stop the random car display from happening and covering my map. To me, this is much more dangerous than the main quality defect preventing the sounds. I was told that they were not allowed to disable this malfunction and that it was not considered a quality defect or recall issue. After starting and backing the car out of a parking spot, I noticed the instrument cluster display screen behind the steering wheel was completely blank, except for the letter of the gear I was in (P, R, or D) in the bottom center of the screen. In fact, many audio notifications did not work. I had no ability to see my speed as both the speedometer and Heads Up Display were not working. I also could not see what mode of regenerative braking was being used, or any other vehicle status that normally appears on the status display. This is dangerous situation for multiple reasons: 1) I can not see how fast I was going 2) There were no safety indicators, visual or audio, that the seat belt is not used. 3) I can not tell if my turn signal was on, which could result in an accident when changing lanes if it wasn't working 4) I can not see how much range is left, potentially resulting in a situation where I get stranded. 5) I could not see what mode of regenerative braking I was in. This is important to ensure the car can be stopped in a safe manner, as each mode affects the stopping distance required. The problem can be reproduced. I am unable to get the display cluster screen to reappear. I have turned the car off and on and it still remains blank along with the heads up display. I have also changed settings for the display cluster in the main menu, but it does not work. I have not had an oppty to have this car inspected yet, but it is available upon request. I plan to call Kia to schedule an appointment. There was also no warning this could occur. I have not had an issue like this appear before.Read more

Within the first three weeks of ownership and with less than 900 miles on the odometer, I experienced multiple instances of the vehicle entering "turtle mode" while driving at high speeds on the freeway. Incident Details: While driving at 80–85 MPH on a California freeway with my family, my 2024 Kia EV9 LLR suddenly entered "turtle mode" without warning, drastically reducing speed to 30–40 MPH. I had to quickly activate hazard lights and navigate to the shoulder. At the time, the battery level was around 15%, and I initially thought it was a low battery issue. However, the following day, after fully charging the vehicle, the issue recurred with approximately 82% battery remaining. Over the next few days, this happened a total of four times while driving at freeway speeds. On the fourth occurrence, the vehicle shut down completely after coming to a stop and would not respond to acceleration until multiple restart attempts. Current Status: The vehicle has been towed to the dealership by Kia Roadside Assistance. The service team is currently investigating the issue and has opened a case with Kia corporate, but no diagnosis has been provided at this time. Given the severity of this recurring issue, I have also opened a buyback/refund request with Kia corporate. Safety Concerns: This defect presents a severe safety risk, as the sudden loss of speed while driving at high speeds on a freeway could easily result in a rear-end collision or other accidents. The inability to accelerate or maintain control over the vehicle creates an extremely dangerous situation, especially in high-traffic environments. This report pertains to the lighting system of the vehicle, specifically the parking light mode of the lighting system. When stopped at a dark, unlight turn out, with the engine turned off, I turned the head light control switch from "automatic" to the parking light position to ensure visibility of the vehicle to other drivers approaching/entering the turn out. I confirmed via reflection that the
... lights had turned on. Later, when I exited the vehicle to retrieve belongings from the back, I noticed that the lights were no longer on. I switched the light control to the off position, and back to the parking light mode, which activated the lights. I noticed an indicator on the dash. However within a few minutes, the lights were again switched off by the vehicle, the only notification being the absence of an indicator light on that dash. This unexpected, automated behavior put myself and others at risk, by reducing the visibility of my vehicle to other drivers near (but not on) a dark highway. This specific issue has not been brought to the attention to service personnel, as it appears consistent with other non safety critical lighting behavior which has been reviewed and deemed functioning as designed. It idles very roughly and overall has been the worst vehicle mechanically that I have ever owned. The dealerships always say they cannot find anything wrong with it or cannot reproduce it but it happens on a daily basis and keeps getting worse. I have had the transmission updated, changed the cool packs, and changed the plugs which has not helped at all. I want to know why the 2020 Expedition is not included in this recall? This is the most expensive vehicle I have ever purchased and I would expect it to run smoothly with no issues and I am very disappointed. Not only disappointed in the vehicle, but in Ford itself for not acknowledging this issue. I have read many complaints from other customers experiencing the same issues and unable to find a fix for it. I would like some answers and for Ford to make things right with my Expedition. I was, very slowly, able to turn my car off of the main road, onto a side street, and eventually into a parking lot. In the parking lot, I turned the car on and off several times but the warning messages returned and the steering wheel was almost impossible to move. I then opened Acura Link and requested a roadside assistance for a tow. After approximately 20 minutes the tow truck showed up. I got out of the car and let the tow truck drive look. The warning messages on the dashboard were gone and the steering wheel was fine. Tow truck driver followed me to my Acura dealership. They have had the car since. Dealership said it was the "Steering Angle Sensor". They are replacing with new. Never had issues before.Read more

Now this 2016 Hyundai Tucson under this VIN number is experiencing the same problem due to a faulty design and cheap plastic products. The contact called the manufacturer and was informed about NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V440000 (Electrical System) which the agent linked to the vehicle failure; however, the contact was then informed that the vehicle was not included in the recall. My 2018 Ford Escape's engine light came on around February of 2024 with the code of P2096 and after a while, it started misfiring and showed the additional code of P0302. I took it in around 82K miles to get it checked out and since I hadn't had any work done, the place I took it to (Midas) did a bunch of work including a tune up and replaced all the coils and spark plugs. It was fine for a month
... , then the P2096 code came back on and started misfiring again. The car was taken in to be looked at to the same place, but the codes weren't registering and nothing was done. By the end of the same day, the engine light came back on and it started misfiring shortly thereafter with the same 2 codes. I took it back to Midas around September 6, 2024 and they looked at it and told me that it was the known issue of coolant intrusion and the fix was a new engine. I didn't believe them as they had done me badly for other reasons so I took it in to Varsity Ford and they came up with the same conclusion. They replaced the spark plug in cylinder 2 and the misfiring immediately stopped. The check engine light stayed off for 6 days and then came back on with the P0302 code. I know there is a ford customer satisfaction issue and Ford should pay for the fix if it was below 84,000 miles, but my car started misfiring at 82000 miles and the problem has persisted through to almost 86,000 with no changes and I would like Ford to fix the issue since they knew it existed. The coolant intrusion issue is absolutely available for inspection upon request as long as it does not cost me anything. My safety and the safety of others is at risk because the engine can just stop at any point. The problem has been reproduced by two different places, Midas and Varsity Ford. The problem is confined to cylinder number 2. The vehicle or the component has been looked at by the manufacturer (Varsity Ford who confirmed the coolant intrusion issue) but not by the police, insurance representative or others.Read more
