I purchased a vehicle from a dealership that was aware of faulty airbags that was returned to dealership from another consumer. I discovered the issue a few months later when airbag warning light appeared and had it repaired which included steering wheel airbag, lower knee airbag and the seat belt in September. I did know it was involved in a accident prior to purchase since carfax states airbags
... did not deploy. A reporter approached me in September to inform me that my vehicle was involved in a story of said dealership selling cars with faulty airbags. The Volvo service advisor and myself did reach out the dealership seeking out financial assistance which they state since the vehicle passed a multi point inspection they are not liable to assist financially. The DA is aware of the situation and I am seeking damages that could have resulted in my bodily injury of lost of life.Read more

In March of 2008, I purchased a new 2008 Toyota Tacoma (VIN: [XXX] ) from Orleans Toyota in Massachusetts. In July 2010 I re-located to New Hampshire and registered the vehicle in that state in July 2010 where I have resided since. The odometer reading at that time was 21,220 Miles. In September of 2014, I received a safety recall notice from Toyota regarding a potential frame corrosion problem.
... I scheduled an appointment with the local Toyota dealership in East Swanzy NH on September 12, 2014 to address this issue. The odometer reading at the time was 82,068 miles. There were two remediation options, as set by Toyota: A.Inspect frame, clean, and apply CRC if no perforations were found B.Inspect frame and if perforations found, replace the frame. Both of these options were intended to mitigate any and all risk of future corrosion of the frame that was a result of a known vehicle design flaw. Toyota chose to apply the CRC. I therefore assumed that the frame was intact at that point in time and the issue had been resolved. Between September 2014 and December 2019, I drove the vehicle 62 miles a day on [XXX] in NH commuting between Hillsboro and Keene for all 12 months of the year. This represents a total mileage of 87,939 (36,054 of which can be considered winter driving during the months of November thru March). The Toyota dealership inspected and passed the vehicle in 2023 without mention of any issue regarding the frame. On [XXX] of this year, the Toyota dealership rejected the state inspection due to severe frame corrosion (to the point that the technician felt it was a risk putting the truck on a lift). It should be noted that this vehicle has only been driven 3,000 since it passed inspection in 2023, none of which were during Winter months. In addition, there are no visible signs of rust or corrosion on the exterior of the vehicle. So I then got my car to the Pearson Hyundai dealership where there formally diagnosed my car stating that I needed to replace my catalytic converter for 2500 - 3000, but I had done my research and new it was a known problem. People in several Hyundai Forums have been complaining about this same issue. I asked for assistance in getting my car repaired from Pearson Hyundai, Hyundai USA, and I even wrote a letter to the CEO of Hyundai to no avail. I have been without my car since June. Hyundai has a real issue with oil consumption, bad catalytic converters and they need to replace my engine warranty or not. I feel my vehicle is very unsafe and I am nervous to drive it. I can't drive it if I wanted to more then a few feet because it chokes up and the goes 3-5 miles per hour feel like it is going to die at any moment. I am asking that Hyundai take ownership of it's faulty car parts and do the right thing by its consumers. Anything could have happened to me in that day in June and it seems nobody is worried about it. Hyundai can not just pick and chose who gets a replacements when other models are having the same issue. Tesla can't do anything about this incident, as it is under Beta version and it is the responsibility of the driver to be aware of such situations and should take full control of the vehicle. At that time in this situation, what control I have to take immediate control of when car stopped abruptly. Luckily no vehicles were coming behind and survived second time. Laptop screen blank, pressed gas pedal, breaks and after 30-45 seconds, laptop screen started showing up on the left side panel and quickly drove from the ramp. I have a 2018 1.5 Touring with 94k (bought 5 years ago with 7k miles. Religiously performed all maintenance including oil changes and transmission fluid. I started having this issue on and off about 2k miles ago. This is an intermittent problem. Sometimes the car runs great with no problem...then the next time I start the car there is a rough idle and I get the shuttering/jolting/jerkiness (feels
... like the engine is misfiring) when the engine revs over 2.5k rpms or so. Out of habit, I typically drive in eco mode as I drive mostly highway miles. I also noticed that this is less of an issue in sport mode. If the jerkiness starts, keeping the car under 2k rpms avoids any additional jerkiness. If I accelerate, I will get one of two results: - The first is limp mode, which I can solve by pulling over, turning the car off, turn the car back on and the check engine light goes away...and the car may or may not be jerky again. - The second is limp mode with a Christmas tree of lights on the dash and warnings in the tachometer display area - which cycles through the following system problems: "Brake System", "Vehicle Stab Assist", "Hill Start Assist", "Adaptive Cruise C System", "Collision Mit Braking System", "Road Departure Mit System", "Emission System", "Electronic PS System ". If I turn the car off and back on, the error lights and messages still appear. I can clean the codes (P0302 cylinder #2 misfire) with my scanner, then the messages and lights go way...and the car may or may not be jerky again. I took the car to an experience independent shop that works primarily on Hondas. My mechanic had not seen this issue before. He test drove it and (luckily) experienced the issue. I asked him to install the new spark plugs that I bought from Honda. He also swapped coil packs around and had the same issue. He pulled the codes before and after the new plugs and swapping the coil packs around and the code was still on Cylinder #2.Read more

It resets when truck is turned off, but will fail a few seconds after turning on. There is a recall for this exact problem. The recall manufacture window ends one month before the manufacture date of our truck. We have contacted a service representative at a dealership and they refused to fix the problem under the recall for that specific problem because our truck’s VIN is one month beyond the recall window. Is there even the slightest possibility that a faulty rack/wiring affected by this recall was installed on the vehicle. The recall date must be expanded. with no known contact with anything, shark fin antenna cover of hyundai kona blew off at highway speed. this was unknown at the time, but upon further consideration, concern that the detachment could have damaged another car or caused to swerve. dealer, warranty refuse to replace. multiple reports of similar occurrences exist in hyundai forums.
